For those of us who 'miss the silence' I have a thought. I wonder if anyone actually ever really hears silence. I remember even when I plugged my ears I would hear ambient noise. So it is not the silence ITSELF that we miss, but we miss the not being bothered. We miss being able to read a book in a quite room.
Thing is WE DO NOT HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE TO THAT. The ringing can be there, be present, and we can MANAGE JUST FINE WITH IT. We can hear it, and not be bothered at all by it. This may not happen overnight, and we may have bad days, but our goal is NOT impossible.
Whoever you are reading this, I will probably never meet you but I am praying for you.

My tinnitus calmed down a lot after 5 months. I stated yoga every morning - just a you tube video - swimming etc. before this I wanted to bang my head on the dashboard of the car one day I was so distressed. I still feel my tinnitus rising when I am driving so it shows me that it must be making me stressed even if I don't realise it. Tinnitus is a useful barometer for your mental health.

Julian's methods worked for me. I got tinnitus 8 years ago during a period of very high stress after a bad car accident. Did the usual searching trying to find an answer nothing helped until I found Julian and followed his advice. I also played ocean or rain sounds on my phone when I slept to stop me focusing on it. I don't know how long it took but gradually I calmed, soothed and settled my system and I was no longer aware of any tinnitus. It wasn't a factor in my life anymore. This year my mother hasn't been well and I've felt overwhelmed settling her affairs and the tinnitus has returned. Having the awareness of a goldfish I'd completely forgotten all I'd learnt until I started googling tinnitus and remembered Julian and then found this video. The T has dropped a notch already. So I'll go back now to reading his books and settling my system. Thank you Julian

i just want to share that march 3, 2018 the most fearful week of my life started. i find your videos after a few days of panic and can say you have helped me.
i’m still hoping for silence but i have went days without noticing my tinnitus. i still want the “hearing silence in an empty room” sooo bad! i still do have some fear, but it’s not as big as it used to be. so if i can go from having anxiety attacks to what i am now. i believe i can go from what i am now to something even better.
    thank you, Julian.

God bless you man! Ive had Tinnitus for 6 years. It really scares the shit out of me and giving me depression and panic anxiety. But you are 100% right in everything you say here. The only thing that really helps is listening and surroundong yourself with possitive people that also have it. Never listen to negative info or doctora who just tell you to deal with it this is your life now. Thats the stupidest advice ever and often the answers ive have gotten from all doctora here in Norway. Thats just scaring the shit out of me. Coming to a sense of acceptance and calming down is the only eay and surrounding myself with possitive people is the only way i live now. And i also care and give alot of compassion to others aswell now so it has given me alot of compassion and understanding to the difficult questions in life ❤️

Thanks again Julian! I make very conscious decisions as well. I was placed in a group therapie with a very negative vibe. That's why I stopped after one session. Afterwards, I told my therapist that I need positivity and that this kind of 'help' doesn't make any sense to me. It felt like it was harmful instead of useful. We need to 'feed' our brain with positive and calming messages and stop spreading fear.

Having tinnitus for more then a year now, never had real silence. I try and have tried many methods, cranio, accupuncture, reiki and yoga for example. I also have herniated discs with it as well, that also doesn' t help with it. Can you tell Julian if this maybe can be related to the tinnitus?

Don't ever lose hope! Keep watching Julian's videos, and come back to them again and again for "refreshers" and it puts everything into perspective for you, to remind you that you have nothing to fear and you can move beyond this condition! HELLO! Julian. Thank you for all of your work that you do for us. I'd be interested to hear more about tinnitus caused by hearing damage (loud noises, concerts, getting exposed to loud sounds frequently.) You often talk about stress related tinnitus and how it is indeed a stress related symptom. My tinnitus started back in 2013, due to constant exposure to loud music, and it has gone from very minimal hiss, to many different sounds in both of my ears. It is a lot louder now in 2019. I'd be happy to hear you talk more about this type of tinnitus and do you feel that it would still be possible to make a full recovery. Also... I am very interested on the topic of HABITUATION (not getting irritated by Tinnitus) VS. RECOVERY (tinnitus actually going away.) Thanks again Julian.

    • @f.b.8254
      @f.b.8254 Před 5 lety +4

Interesting! Yes, the problem with tiniitus is how people FEEL about it, not the condition itself. If you feel neutral and relaxed about it, it is not a problem. And for those who often DO feel relaxed and neutral about it, it sort of backs down, and ceases to be an issue.
Barbra Streisand has had tinnitus since she was a child. It didn't stop her from having a wonderful, happy and successful life. I think in some ways it helps to have it from a young age because you don't know that you are "supposed to" push against it and resist it. It is just as ordinary as your hair or eye color, just an attribute, nothing to hate or push against.
I'm in my 50's too, but only developed tinnitus a few years ago, just shy of 3 years, and it came on the heels of an enormously stressful time in my life, coupled with the onset of menopause, which was also a very hard transition for me. My life has remained quite stressful, so I still have it, but like Julian, I am simply encouraged and hopeful that one day this can be a thing of the past. I can sort of let it go, and it will cease to be an issue.
Even now, it does not dominate, and I just live my life, but some days and some weeks it depresses me, and makes me feel more tired. I realize that is my resistance, my pushing against it. As I develop the habits Julian describes, I will feel better. I have also begun LENS Neurofeedback, which I feel encouraged will help me.

kambang tbc I’ve read ppl’s stories of how they healed and fear is a major reason why ppl don’t get well because the body is constantly in fight or flight mode. One woman named Hayley I think on this thread totally healed herself using her mind. I have a lot of info on this and a list of videos which I’m posting here.
If you contact me I’ll send the email Hayley sent me explaining how she healed herself using mind control. There is also a video at the bottom of the list that tells you how to do it.
      melodye_buskin@yahoo.com.
      Tinnitus Explanation and Links-
From what I’ve read and watched in videos is that tinnitus or ringing in the ears can be the result of noise, head, physical and/or emotional trauma, dental problems like bruxism (teeth grinding) or TMJ (jaw clenching) at night while sleeping, excessive ear wax or ear infection or other ear related issues, stress and anxiety, certain medications, EMF’s from WIFi/5G or upper cervical subluxated Atlas and Axis (C1 and C2) neck related issues and even chemicals from hair dyes, personal care products and cosmetics, certain allergies to foods, bad diet or nutritional and/or vitamin and mineral deficiencies like vitamin C, zinc, iron, iodine, magnesium, D3 and K and even parasites. Some people also believe it’s part of the ascension process into a higher frequency and that it’s the sound of angels, higher beings, the cosmos or God communicating with them through their hearing.
The standard explanation is that the brain is basically in fight or flight mode and you’re hearing your own nervous system on red alert. It can rewire itself over time by using a process called neuroplasticity which is fundamentally accepting it and getting used to it (habituation) then ignoring the sound and calming it down through relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, yoga, Qi gong and/or exercise and/or neck release exercises called trigger point therapy, upper cervical chiropractic adjustments and/or regular chiropractic, certain dental procedures which involve the use of mouth guards, cranial sacral therapy, EFT also known as ‘tapping’, hypnotherapy, visualization, and other body and mind relaxation therapies and/or masking with nature sounds or pink noise. What can also help is reducing/removing some or all coffee, teas, sodas, alcohol, salt, sugar, spices, condiments, dairy and carbs, nuts, seeds, the night shade family of veggies, salicylates and oxylates from the diet and intermittent, 24 or 48 hour wet or dry fasting. Some people see results whether they’re vegan, vegetarian or meat eaters and even some do none of the above and still get better over time. Still, the majority of what I’ve read and seen in videos is that a healthy diet and stress reducing exercises have the most impact on reducing and healing T.
Check out Julian Cowan Hill, Liam Stops Tinnitus, James Karthaus, Peter Studenik and Joey Remenyi. They all healed from tinnitus using their own (and sometimes combined) techniques.
Here’s a list of videos with success stories and healing techniques:

I am going through a terrible spike right now, it's lasted [ at the same level ] for almost 2 weeks. I say this is a spike because since last November when this all started out of the blue, I've had quite a few good periods of almost silence which lasted almost a month - July was almost silent for the entire month , June was good for 50% of the month , May was good for 50%, August was near silence for most of the month until around the 15th. Now the T is screaming, it hurts my head, my ears, my eyes, I even think my back hurts because of the T or the stress. I've tried doing relaxation excercises, walking, medidation, nothing seems to work right now. Feeling very frustrated and mad.
Julian's videos always give me hope though

Lol...cookies do the same for me. We have to knock them off and, if you have eaten them, except there will be a sugar spike and then wait a few days as the sugar passes out the body. It is the same for all stimulants. Also be wary of dairy and wheat. The best approach is to eat cleanly and not to eat in the evening. Drink about 2/3 litres of mineral water a day (no tap). Get early nights as well. Stay strong. You can do it. x

I've come to the point that when I have a tinnitus spike I immediatly take a deep breath and have this thought in my head that it will get better. Counter-strategies seem to come up now in a much more automatic way. Feels like a huge progress for me now, almost one year after my ringing began. I can also gradually listen to music in stereo again without freaking out because of the imbalance (my tinnitus is more present in the right ear and I also have some kind of muffling sensation there, too the more stressed and tense I am). But if I relax and let the ear pain/tinnitus be and let the music be on the other hand, I can separate both things in my head and get away from the feeling that music is ruined for me, because of my tinnitus.

If up to 20 per cent of the population get tinnitus at some stage but only 1.6% develop it into a difficult syndrome for a period of time that means there are a lot of us around who used to have it. Generally, people that get over symptoms stop talking about them, so you may need to ask to find out if they used to have it or not. We don't say, "Hi, My name is Julian I used to have tinnitus 20 years ago." It is really helpful to make friends with someone who used to have it as a positive role-model and inspiration to get better yourself.

Have you read the positive feedback document in the positive stories section? - there are 90 there so far... The Jastroboff Model is the scientific term for the effect of the fight or flight response/limbic system on hearing. This has been widely known since the 1990s. It is not my method. I share how our hearing changes dramatically when we come out of fight or flight and feel safe. This is basic physiology. I guide people along a path that helped me and others get better. Putting 150 free videos out on CZcams is not making money at all. It is sharing information that is helping people. After 20 years of hard work helping people I have created an app which costs the price of a coffee and a sandwich for a month because I am not a charity. I am a human being with a limited capacity. I would like to make a small amount of money back to pay for a very expensive app. Considering that an ENT can charge 150 - 200 for a few minutes consultation and then say there is nothing much you can do, I find it extraordinary that you think I am making money of vulnerable people. You do not have pay anything. Half of the app is free. Having been through the journey myself I am putting the information out there that I wish I had received many years ago myself and then I would not have spent years in hell and suffering.

For major structural problems osteopathy and chiropractic work are the best, but to drop into stillness and to let go of the charge in the body and release the buzzing tissues I find CST is the best. Yawning often causes the sound to change because there is a direct link between the jaw and auditory system via the trigeminal and facial nerves. Please yawn a lot and give yourself regular evening face massages to help release this reactivity and to bring down the tension in the physical structures of the face and jaw system. Yes. It takes time sometimes, but eventually it can go away completely.

yes. It happened to me once. completely went away after more than one year. Now I have it back again (due to another concert) and was much worst due to my psycological state at the time. 7 months after is much better and at times I forget it...and I can sleep :)
