The Dominican Republic, where I'm from, constructs homes using metal (zinc) roofing sheets which is the cheapest material other than palm fronds. The problem is, Zinc roofs retain and concentrate heat extremely. In a tropical setting, Spanish tile is the sensible way to go.

Our gated community is 23 years old. Every house has clay roof. Just about every home here are reroofing due to leaks, cracks and roof just no longer safe. Considering metal roof.

Was wondering if it's a good idea to put antique terracotta roofing tiles over metal roof just like the look in Georgia or could it be done

10.000 BC? I don't think that during the last ice age there were any civilization advanced enough for the construction of permanent houses with tiles roofs

10,000 B.C. was the start of the Chinese Neolithic period, which featured the transition from a hunter gatherer society to a farming society. Throughout the next several thousand years, earthenware architecture, tools, art, and other implements were developed; we still have artifacts from this period to this day. My apologies if the video was unclear! -Thad

WTF do you get your info. We have Spanish tile roof tiles. The supplier discontinued the basic style we have, now they are custom made which cost more. They require annual cleaning due to mold growth. They look dated.
