@@haseebsheikh7189 I’m a bimmer fanboy, I have an M135i, but even I think the new RS3 will be a game changer.. they’ve marketed the S3 and Golf R perfectly, and I think the new RS3 will have just as much BHP as the A45s with a snappier 4 wheel drive system with more way more torque, as it still has an advantage of 5cyl
On the other side the A45 has the better infotainment and most likely exterior too

I’m an audi fan boy but you have to appreciate what Mercedes are getting out of a 4 cylinder. It’s insane. However nothing will beat that 5 cylinder, the noise is good enough alone.

It's amazing that hot hatch's are doing 0-60's in just over 3 seconds. Doesn't seem that long ago that a sub 8 second hot hatch was considered quick haha

@@mattd863 oh yeah for sure since they came out. I felt they never really fell into a hot hatch segment. Seemed a little too heavy to be hot hatches. This generation and predecessors are hot hatches; I would say GTI clubsport s, type r fk8, megane rs ie something more track orientated hatches for the road.

I would pick the A45S it's a lovely place to be had an A45 of a year on a company lease as I worked for ING plus you don't really hear much in the car and the loud exhaust get loud very fast.
In its class the 2.5 5 pot doesn’t get beaten for sound surely. No matter what right? I30n is a clean car. But not an RS3
You should do another leaderboard for cars under 600bhp to make it more competative

It should be based on fastest with x amount bhp eg fastest 500 brake fastest 600 bhp etc fastest stage 2 etc

There are so many insanely fast cars on UK roads.
They both launch amazingly well though, incredible really.
I reckon if both cars were running pump fuel in this video but were to do another run on e85 or 108-110 Oct race fuel they would both creep into the 2s. Not too sure what the a45s would achieve with better fuel but the rs3 surely would be running at least between 560 to 600 bhp to the crank if the stated 530 bhp is to the crank

The rs3 looked like it had a significant advantage in power up top but the gearing and acceleration of the a45s is what I see as its performance strong point. Shows how competitive 4wd systems are vs quattro. Still considering it's the older model in this race I still applaud the rs3 👍

Havent tried one, thus cant say im a huge fan of any of them. But as a GTI Clubsport owner, with as much power (or more like these) something iv noticed is that stability becomes more and more important. On tuning the Clubsport just holding the thing steady on road becomes the main challange. Not sure if its just a matter of tires (will swap for summer tires soon), but if i would pick a car like this one of the 2 first factors on choosing it would be ride comfort (suspension) and stability, as its so important to have a safe car when dealing with this much power... 👍

Hamza is such a cool guy. 👍 been following him for years.
The reason the gearbox keeps overheating is because of that launch and the dsg tune. That MRC dsg tune is letting the clutches slip too much and causing the gearbox to overheat. I have an rs3 with the TVS dsg tune and Apr Ecu tune and never have seen the gearbox overheat even with multiple launches in a row. It also doesnt have that sound where it's slipping like TR Hamaz's rs3. Please get that dsg tune checked or id recommend changing it to either TVS or unitronic dsg tune. Another thing ive noticed is your trap speed is quite low for a facelift rs3 stage 2 on 99 ron fuel. You should be getting 125+ easy with a stage 2 on the facelift.
You need to do brake testing too. Be interesting to see how these things stop aswell as go!

No replacement for displacement is normally said about non-turbo cars which neither of these isn't.
@@itisjustacomment well we are talking about two forced induced cars with similar states of tune with the displacement being the major difference. M139 engine is a benchmark for modern 4cyl but the 5cyl makes the difference. So you're saying the factor of displacement only applies to naturally aspirated and supercharged cars?
@@itisjustacomment unless you're referring to the guys stateside with the naturally aspirated muscle v8s. A lot of them are purist and stick by displacement although superchargers are a popular route.

My point is that when state of tune are similar with both cars running roughly the same power/weight and similar drive train, a bigger displacement would be an advantage. Both are also single also signifies the role of the extra cyl in the audi.

Proof you can't just keep thrasting the twin clutch and expected it to work 10/10. Those launch fails are just the ECU protecting the transmission.
