Coach thank you for sharing your views on essentialism. I believe all of the coaches running the Air Raid via Coach Hal Mumme, Mike Leach etc. all share your philosophy. It is great to not feel alone sharing our views.

Not quite that simple. You are describing the act of walking or jogging.
Speed requires massive downward (vertical) forces.

Hello Coach, we have a 8th grader who is almost guaranteed a starting spot on defense if he can get to 160 pounds. He also needs to get his 60 m time down by point three seconds. He has four months to accomplish both goals. He is currently at 145 pounds. But that is coming off of a long basketball season.
I would appreciate any advice you might have to offer.

Hi Coach, my son 11 is participating in a 60m run in 4 weeks. It's the Swiss national championships. How should the last 4 weeks workout look like? How often should he sprint per week? Thanks in advance

Train 3-4 times a week, sleep 9 hours a night. Drink water. Eat like a man. Only train fresh. The majority of training needs to be 10m or 20m flys and 40 yard dashes. No 200m or 400m work. Buy Freelap.
