I know Benny personally from Anytime Fitness in Lahaina where he was a trainer at one time and I can tell you honestly he is the coolest, nicest and most humble person i've ever met. So proud of you Benny!
Yes! I used to work with him in Lahaina and he was such a joy. He made everyone feel loved and appreciated. He was so funny as well. His smile lit up the room. So glad he's safe.

Bless this man with the heart of a hero. I don't know why he is not getting more recognition. Here in Hawaii, identified deaths a;though few so far, are all Kapuna, or Seniors. Who was helping the elderly get out? I imagine most were just saving their own lives. Hawaii has a culture where the Kapuna have important and respected status and yet I am afraid most were just left as others ran. This beautiful man you can see is filled with true love and aloha.

I've never been to Hawaii and havent ever met a Hawaiian, but from what ive been gathering from all of these fire videos amd testimonies, Hawaiians seem to have a beautiful sense of love, resilience and community. I truly hope they all rise out of the ashes stronger than ever.

Not all of them ran my friend!!! With 3 fires on the same day, they did the best they could with what they had, they lost loved ones too, the situation was definitely not a good one, but most tried!!! About the only one's I won't understand is the Police Chief and his commands to his fellow officer's?!?! Reminds me of a school shooting, that the Police Chief F'd Up there too!!! That's the only 1st responder's I can't say I'm proud of!!! Why they held those people up and did not direct them out of there properly and maybe as safe as they could!!! 😥🙏✝️🌎🇺🇸✌️💌🌈💐🌅🏝️⚖️🌺

Kinda gross how the news uses this poor man and his amazing brave story for views but then cuts him off as soon as it is inconvenient. This man clearly has experienced massive trauma and needs to express it. There were way more professional and honestly humane ways to end that segment.

There is a good saying! Do not dig a hole for another, you will fall into it yourself! The United States dug holes all over the world and more than once fall into it themselves! The punishing finger of God destroyed a wine valley in California a few years ago with the same problem as in Maui! Lack of fresh water! Instead of solving and spending money on these problems, the American government spends taxpayers' money on war, more precisely on organizing and supporting wars! Into what next pit will America lead its people?
