    Another example of Reagan's warning, "I'm the government and I'm here to help." FEMA told my son that he earned too much for a grant but too little for a loan.

      Except that's exactly what you got, you got Reaganomics do nothing plan. Under that thinking FEMA wouldn't even exist. What we needed was a massive federal response. As a progressive Biden has been an epic failure. I cannot tell how much I hate that man. Why? Because he's a republican. We needed a strong decisive President to rise to the occasion in both this disaster and the East Palestine OH. disaster. He failed just like republicans would have failed. Both parties are broken, they are owned and operated by corporate interests to be errand boys. They aren't here to help you or I out.

    Insurance companies need to start providing proper service to their customers or be shut down for operation of a scam. “Proper service” needs to be very clearly defined in law to ensure fairness to the customer. Insurance and credit companies are some of the most harmful to America. They engage in legal extortion.

      It’s a business they sell you what you want to buy. It’s not their job to protect your interests.

    How many children dies in the Maui fires? Did we ever get a number or are they still “missing”?

      Missing or Smuggled Out?

      I have no reason not to think this way. I am a product of a government that uses MK Ultra style brainwashing techniques👁

    Lahaina Fire survivor here. We were in Maui for vacation and had to flee the flames. As evidenced by this broadcast we need to do more to help Maui rebuild. Going forward,.we also need to make sure people reassess their insurance so they are properly insured to rebuild.

      Unfortunately most people didn’t carry the amount of coverage they needed because they couldn’t afford it.

      @@margaretglowacki5749 that's sad. I'm hoping that people will be generous to help those affected rebuild.

    Only 100 dead with over a thousand houses destroyed and escape routes blocked! This is why I don't watch "oldy" TV news anymore. For the real skinny you have to look online.

    Insurance companies need to stop this non-sense. You might have had XXX amount of coverage, but if it was a fire that destroyed almost the whole town that's a whole other story. Its not like these people had an electrical fire!

    • @dustincaso6781
      @dustincaso6781 Před 7 měsíci +2

      That’s not the responsibility of that individual insurance company. Their responsibility is to only the specific building that was affected by the fire, not the whole community. How about the state step up to do something about this since it was state failures that led to such widespread destruction for example not maintaining overgrowth!

      What you are asking for is a massive federal response. Biden epically failed in his response to this disaster. We only have money for foreign wars, not for domestic disasters. And no the republicans would have failed the same way as well. The totality of our two party government is an epic failure.

    If this area is considered an historic site. Shouldn’t there be other protections? I’m sure the insurance company is fully aware of how expensive things are in Hawaii. They should be ashamed of themselves of paying people thousands less than what they need.

    • @margaretglowacki5749

      They pay what you are entitled to based on the coverage you bought. Many people around the country don’t carry rebuild coverage because they can’t afford it.

    HISTORY demonstrates that natural disaster recovery and rebuilding is a SLOW process. Hurricane Katrina...Fukushima Japan Tsunami....Pahoa Lava Flow are examples of those who have MOVED ON to greener pastures. Those who had "inadequate insurance" CHOSE their OWN amount of insurance for their properties. Moreover the major insurance companies flew to Lahaina TWICE within the first MONTH of the fire for a mass meeting at Cannery Mall in order for owners to fill out claims and receive payments ASAP.
