  • It is often said that modern players are bigger, stronger, and faster now than they have ever been, but I disagree. I have yet to see another player with Jonathan Ogden's combination of size, strength, and quickness in the modern era, or any other. Standing at 6'9'' and weighing nearly 350 pounds, Ogden was the stalwart of the Baltimore Ravens offense for more than a decade, domineering opponents while also maintaining composure no matter the circumstance. He accrued 4 First-Team All-Pro selections over his career, during an era rife with Hall of Fame talent at the Tackle position, and blocked for Jamal Lewis in his record-breaking 2000-yard season.

I met him on an elevator in Baltimore years ago and he was so polite I thought he was a big rookie. Also he didn’t seem overweight at all like I would imagine a lineman to be. He looked like a basketball player in person. It’s great to know that despite the success he was a truly humble and kind person to me. God bless you Jonathan Ogden sir!

@@Rams8148 Munoz was significantly more athletic than Thomas or Ogden but he wasnt as powerful. All three guys had awesome technique, Ogden was obviously crazy powerful and could still move well for a guy his size, Thomas was kind of the middle ground between Ogden and Munoz in terms of size/strength/athleticism.
