Old heads have always had alot of bias against LeBron because he came in right after Jordan retired the most beloved American athlete of alltime & Kobe was in his prime and had the whole state of Cali with him, so many people resented his hype from day 1 because they didn't want any new kid to surpass their all time favorites hype.
You can see the bias against Bron because so many people on the internet totally ignore or take for complete granted anything he ever did great and focus 99% of their attention on any mistake. If you take that approach with any human being its gonna look like they suck.
Also people justify this bias by saying Lebron isn't a "killer" . So instead of judging based off reality they judge based off of a made up concept they define in their own minds.
For example Jordan Kobe could shoot 10/35 and miss the game winner and Lebron could go 10/20 and make the game winner and a Lebron hater will be more impressed with MJ and Kobe because at least they failed with "killer mentality".
There's more than 1 way to be great the Jordan/Kobe method may be your favorite but it's not inherently the best way.
Also the goat debate just ends up being disrespectful. There is no goat in a team sport and comparing players stats and accolades from completely different eras doesn't make sense. Different players bring different things to the table and the individuals value to winning is dependent on how their skillset fits within the team to provide what that team needs, and that's also mixed with how well the opponent matches up with that individual, some matchups you can dominate more than others.
For example MJs was great all around but a 2 guard on defense isn't impacting everything on that end nearly as much as a Center like Hakeem protecting the paint and controlling the boards. On offense his greatness skillset was as high volume play maker.
So the Bulls were actually the perfectly constructed team for what Jordan did best (and a really good team independent of him 55-27 with Pippen, Grant, Armstrong Big 3).They were 34-31 5th seed in the East before Jordan returned but that was without Grant their 2nd best player from the year before.
So if Jordan played with a team that was constructed just around good offensive players instead of 2-way like Pippen, Grant, Rodman, Harper, Jordan's team wouldn't be an elite defense with just a great guard defender and on offense either MJ to play how he plays would have to take away shots from his score first teammates, or he would have to shoot alot less because the pace of play in the 90s there's only so many possessions.

Jay Bilas said he's by far the best highschool player he'd ever seen , further along than Kobe at the same age. Most scouts felt that way, it wasn't just mythological made up hype to find a new face. Many people genuinely felt that, and it's pretty much confirmed their hype was correct from the fact LeBron averaged 20.9ppg 5 and 6 as a rookie not even near full development when the league scoring average was at an alltime low. The Cavs went from 17-65 to 35-47 an 18 game improvement.
Every other player out of highschool didn't even averaged over 15ppg. Perimeter players under 10ppg.
