Wayne was THE guy when I was in high school, and we used to blast his shit in my Toyota everywhere. A new song or album release was like Christmas morning. That music was such a masterful, balanced, blend of writing, lyrics, and some of the nastiest beats I’ve ever heard. His music has aged incredibly well and will continue to mark a very high point in rap history. What an absolute legend.

My pops used to tell me nothing’s easy, so hearing Wayne say that so candidly let’s me know his work ethic and how much he gives to the game.

Weezy is such a living legend, one of the greatest rappers to ever do it, top ten in my book, not only from a rapper standpoint but also from a executive standpoint, by himself, putting out two of the greatest rappers of the last 15 years in Nicki Minaj and Drake. I wish he would have got behind Short Dawg and Jae Millz more, both of them are incredible artists in their own right, but still one of the greatest rappers of all time.

One thing that always drawn me to some of rappers interviews is how smart they are....
Wayne is a true musician and performer, along with craftsmen. His dedication is not comparable to anyone else. He still does shows at the rate he did 10-15 years ago. Still works the same way he did since he was a teen. He just works. And wins. I loved every part of this.
Growing up in surrounding New Orleans I legit grew up a fan of Wayne through hotboys to squad up
