Lil Wayne is one of the most intriguing artists ever. From his image to his bars, everything about Wayne is unique. He’s created flows and styles of rap that inspired a whole generation of artists. He’s had hits that still ring off in the club today, a feature run that is still unmatched, and of course, he mentored some of the biggest rappers of all time (Nicki & Drake). But one of the most fascinating things about Wayne is his actual recording process.

IMO Wayne is the greatest. He has everything: flow, substance, bars, delivery, originality, and influence. People wanted to be like Wayne like they wanted to be like Pac. Drake, Kendrick, Cole, Future, Nicki, etc, are all prodigies of Wayne. His influence will run for generations. Not to mention he mainstreamed the autotune-hip hop sound. Remember at the time… people HATED autotune and rap. Now look at ALL of hip hop, everyone’s using it. Wayne so overlooked it drives me nuts. His dominance came at time where there was JAY Z, EM, AND KANYE, and they all said he was better than them at some point in time. It’ll never happen again. S/O Weezy man 🐐

yeah for sure. Speaking of, a lot of people don't like the new Eminem music as much as his old but his Kamikaze and Music to be murdered by 1&2 are examples of how much better Em has gotten. He has bars that I still try won't get till down the line. Also, Royce 5 9's bars are so deep that once I do understand some of them, I'm blown away by how crazy they are. Kxng Crooked is another one.

I love his wordplay, creativity, intelligence, and personality. He really seems like a nice, genuine, and appreciative person, even though the media often doesn't want to portray that side of him. If I could have been present to witness him recording any song, I'd probably choose 6 Foot 7 Foot, because the metaphors are INSANE!!! yeah I would say Em and Wayne are 2 best rappers ever. 3rd best has way too many contenders: Nas, Jay Z, Royce 5'9", Lupe Fiasco, Big Pun, B.I.G., Redman, Method Man, Big L, Rakim, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, King Los, T.I., Jadakiss, AZ, Beanie Sigel, Pusha T, Hopsin, Fabolous, the rest of Slaughterhouse(Joe Budden, Kxng Crooked, Joel Ortiz), and sorry, no Drake for me.
And Nikki Minaj is the best female rapper to me based on syllable rhyming, bars structure, metaphors, lyrical content, overall song quality. She is much better than all the female rappers fighting her for the top spot today, especially Cardi B (can't stand her). But from before: Lil Kim, Lauren Hill and Left Eye are in the running as well.

Lil Wayne is one of the only current rappers that when listening to most of his songs, there's something he says that's so dope that you have to hear the verse or verses again immediately. There's always something that makes you say "wait....did you hear wtf he said?" Followed by an undeniable urge to play it back. The question of "did you hear wtf he said?" Is not just asked when with others. A lot of the times the question is asked out loud when you're by yourself. After playing it again there's always this speechless aww feeling that's only caused by the experience of greatness . And the joy / appreciation of being the one witnessing what was just heard.

If you look at the timeline, the year C5 was supposed to come out was the year trashy mumble rappers started to pop off on Soundcloud.
