The idea that Eminem has done all his own revisions and edits, and never had people telling him where he needed to improve is... Beyond incredible.
I just saw a video where sound guy said Em thanked him for telling him he was wrong...that Em disagreed with him initially, went home and listened to a song 30 times then saw what he was saying. Em got at him the next day and thanked him for telling him the truth bc he said people just agree with him and he appreciated that guy correcting him so he could improve.
Imagine chasing your dream and having your dream being taken over by one of the greatest producers behind a booth (Dre). Em was taught and shown what it takes to build your perfect track.

The story of Em coming in and working 9 to 5 was incredible.
Why? Dude knows what it means to work.
@@LexBanksBeats It's just cool to hear that he's structuring his own day that way when other artists don't. Most people work 9 to 5 because that's the time their job tells them to come in. He enforced that schedule himself which I love.
I think it's awesome. Imagine if other artists do that, how many marriages would have worked out. And spend family time. Em has the key
@@DanAltanoi think Em put it that way, because he is a family dude. With a 9-5 shedule he dont miss something at home. And also he dont record alone in the studio, people have to be there to and those also can go home and eat dinner with family when he go home at 5.

Honestly writing this video made me have a new found respect for Eminem. I was always a lifelong fan but seeing how he collaborates with others and respects the craft so much, takes inspiration from others and is always willing to learn to get better. There’s no quark on he’s one of the 🐐s
My only critique when it comes to you and your previous Eminem videos is you seen to believe Eminem only has a majority white fanbase..which is highly false... He is huge here in Africa.. he's loved here and bigger than any other American artist. We love his music because we are both biased or blinded by his race. We just focused on the art.
@@lesegom7172 that is true for a lot of countries actually. Americans tend to underestimate how big Eminem is outside of America compared to other rappers. In Brazil he's regarded as one of the goats and influenced literally everyone who's in the game here today. People here don't see color, they see him as someone who got rap the exposure it needed. He was on MTV of every country all the time with his clips back in the 2000s, together with Dre, Snoop and 50 Cent they introduced rap to a bunch of people from poor countries.
@@superjonh1000 Only difference is we South Africans already knew Hip-hop from the likes of Pac and Biggie, Nas but liked Em not even knowing he was white initially
I appreciate the work you put in on these videos bro! 🔥
Up until or through the cassette and cd stage of music sales in America, white fans 100% did represent the majority of Hip Hop album and concert ticket sales .Everyone and even all rappers know and have admitted this.
Dudes an underrated producer. He rarely talk about it hence the masses don't pay attention to it. Also about critics on him being too technical while it's valid it also has impact on audience, his technicality intrigued listeners and other rappers to learn it, dissect it, not only as music it self but also as a creative medium to learn english for people outside america and it's a fun thing to do (for me at least). He provided good learning materials. Many people argued "no club blast Eminem's song". Maybe he never intend to make club music, he makes what he wants to make. And most impertantly it's undeniable how much he loves hiphop.

EM is literally the goat. If you understand rap and being an MC he's insane. Break any of his songs down. It's crazy.
Em explaining the difference between rhyming and rapping and he's still rhyming as he says it.
Nobody can bend words and phrases like Eminem. He's literally like a Shakespeare, Poe, etc... Top tier poets in history.
It's good to see hip hop dx giving Eminem his flowers. He's right about the rhyming method. It's easier than rapping. Rapping can get repetitive. But you can always find new ways to rhyme. It's best to tell stories when rapping on a topic. Jayz said it as well, the words just keep coming no matter what.
No different then any other job or skill. Longer you do it the better you will become at it. Eventually it will be second nature to u. But when your out of things to say that pertain to you. Now you just sound like a broken record. Idk how many times I've heard song say same shit as before but he says it in such a different way it still sounds good. As a person growing up through the entire discography of Eminem to see how much Em has evolved and understood the craft and has been recognized for what he has contributed to the hip hop game by the greats. You have to recognize his ability.
Not only was it his music and his amazing ability to rhyme, but he added a certain type of humor and comedy to his music videos which wasn't seen in rap before and that got people's attention like crazy. He already had a massive fanbase and successful career before this but after he dropped "Without Me" it was absolutely insane and that wasn't even one of his best songs, it was a good song but it's the music video that got everyone's attention.
@jalazel6447Sike. Snoop, Shock, and Eazy had VERY different humor from Slim. That's obvious. It's not just about mentioning celebrities because many more people would've blown in that case. You'd have to be blind not to see it. Don't let your hate confuse you to the facts.
@@wulaeofthetengu8336I think Eminem had a very satirical type of humour and his ability to distance himself from the celebrity culture and ridicule the superficiality of it all made him more relatable, even when he was making millions. Also his dark humour of using murder fantasy, creative narratives and making fun of himself brought in a whole new audience to hip hop/rap.

I feel like sometimes the scrutiny of Eminem robbed us of some of his best moments over the past 20 years. He went underground as far as his personality goes, but imo that was a huge part of his persona. Dude was so funny, so charismatic, etc, then he slowly became a hermit and only wanted his rhymes to speak for themselves, even if they were few and far between. I can respect that, especially since maybe the noise would have interfered with his sobriety (not that any of us know if he's actually been clean the whole time), but man the rap game and its society are not forgiving at all. He's so much more than the lyrics and the style. Maybe that's what he wants though, just that.
"I don't have the rage anymore that I had"
I think the last time he was extremely angry, and you can hear it, was 2005, right before Proof was killed. He was putting out beef after beef after beef and from MMLP to D12 World, he would spit something out in a vicious way or just straight up scream and growl throughout the whole song. The Eminem Show was probably his angriest (except for "Kim" from his album previous) where almost every song had some screaming in it.

Very well said! Nothing in music or life in general, can or be possible to stay exactly the same as when the artist first really started out. Everyone grows with time and more experience. Can just talk about how it’s 2023 and since most of us were CHILDREN… we’ve been listening to this man. And we’re still fascinated by him. How is that possible
This is a very well put together video!
Love it 😎
I've been waiting for this video. Thank you for blessing🙏
Top of my rapper list. Since I heard em as a kid I listened every release and I was amazed by his talent. The dudes vocabulary is crazy and rhyme structures is top tier. He does this thing with words that be dope as hell. Cole came along in hip hop and after dope projects back to back he earned that spot next to Em in my Book. Always great seeing Em get the appreciation he deserves. Good stuff DX!
The day job timing routine thats hes got, from what i heard, is because of the grueling hours he worked during the Eminem show/8 mile era. Workin on Emimen Show, acting on 8mile and producing the soundtrack. That took a toll on him, and rumours has it that he developed his pills addiction back then. And may b he took from that experience, and after he got clean, to manage himself a lil bit
Bro thank you for your effort, that videos is amazing!
Totally love this video. Please continue to create these types of deep dives for our favourite rappers. I'd love to see one of these about an artist like Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole.
I feel like that criticism is untrue. Even if you listen to his albums over the last 10 years, all have had plenty of content. You just have to go listen to the music and stop listening to what your friends are telling you
plent of content but that content is shit. there are like two songs off of revival that are so funny their enjoyable and then castle is genuinely good other than that hes putting out fucking garbage 😭
I’ve listened to all of his projects, and it’s not really about the amount of effort he puts into incorporating a theme or message, it’s the way it’s conveyed that puts off some of his non-core listeners. You can count a good number of songs where he has an inspirational tone or significant message but the fact that you have to count says more than it would otherwise. His strength is emphasizing technical aspects in rap over all else. So the more energy you put in one aspect the more you take from another, for example 2Pac could get pretty technical when he wanted but he used to write dozens of 3 verse songs a day with personal stories, political messages, or inspirational purposes. It’s pretty tough to focus on intricate rhyme schemes and devices with that level of output into actual song making substance. The best balance I’ve seen between the 2 thus far is between Nas, Kendrick, and André 3000. But every legend has their own styles and points of emphasis.
@@chrisbendross6229 Have you listened to MTMB and Kamikaze?
He is the best technically but I think all the drugs hes done affects his ideas. He hopped on a song with Nas during Halloween, with bars about Christmas. Including already used by everyone " making it reindeer". It made me cringe from dissapointment.

Wow, this was a fantastic doc. Whoever cut it was a genius.
Thank you for this. Em will always be a 🐐, and one of the must influential artists to me 💯
I really loved this video bruh! Eminem is my favorite rapper 💎💎💎💎💎💎🐐
Make part 2 of this video, we already know there’s more artists showing love to Em.

Look up suicide by paid killa ⛽️
Eminem is a living legend 🐐👑
This was actually really nice
As I got back into art, like a lot of my friends in the digital art industry, you get immersed into it and can’t get away, always breaking down images in your head and admiring other pieces of work and being inspired by everything you see around you. It’s pretty wild ride. It’s hit or miss but when you hit or something clicks, it’s an amazing feeling. It’s almost like an addictive feeling and sometimes it feels like a fleeting moment where you don’t want to let it go
The amount of effort Em puts in his craft would always inspire me, I'm a visual artist, and i always wanna push myself just to know what I'd find, coz Em did it. He's awesome
He's never rhymed every syllable in a song
@@CHOPM4N okay
@@istan2558 you should want too surpass him. No disrespect
His ability to structure his verses is outstanding...master of the craft without a doubt and definitely on the mount Rushmore of all time greats!😁🤘
I've seen all these clips before. But this was a great video.
It's always great to go back and listen to Eminem's classic songs and see how far he has came. Cool video. ^_^
Would love to see a video like this about Lupe
Yeah mind fucks loading 😂😂
That would probably be a Fiasco 💀
Lupe is the only worthy match for Em as an overall mc
He's simply one of a kind. Makes words rhyme and absolutely kills it!! Nobody can immolate his style or his rap i.q. Just a beast on the mic and when he's on there isn't many that can even come close. Lyrics and story telling is how i rate rappers and he's one of the best to ever do it idc what any says. I wait for the day em and cole make a song it would be freaking legendary!!!!!
Thank you for this I needed it
Born in 92 and em Is still my favorite rapper/producer. He's crazy with it
Em always has something real to rap and say all the time his music always hits a cord with me even the funny tacks hits a cord with me and helps me enjoy an expression and meditation and vibe with his music! Every track
After watching this video, I give Eminem more respect about what he does. He takes his craft very serious and I believe that's what most rappers should do is respect the craft they put in. He writes stuff down so he won't forget & he turns that in to a song that's great. I think everyone should respect Eminem more about wat he does & what he do in the business. I also have to say that his beats in his music are sick! I love the beats he puts in his songs I mean, the beats gets you hooked.
Great video!
WOW!! Rick Rubin about eminem, great
