- So i got my hands on the Peugeot 208 again as it now sports the new 1.2 Turbo Pure Tech engine.
+ All in all an absolutely beautiful car that gives a great drive
- The aircond fan needs to shut the f up as it's too noisy from outside the car (at least it's not so audible from inside the car)

we had one, last batch 2019, in black metallic… seriously, its a very good handling car… solid chassis plus top notch safety, 5 star EURO NCAP test crash…

Hi Bobby, Forgot to mention I am in the U.K. So we get the gt line here.
A/c is a bit noisy but the car in this spec looks great, you get black & red sports seats nice 17inch
black & silver alloys red 3D grill markings and dual zone a/con. The 1.2 pure tec auto is really smooth and responsive, cheaper to insure than a gti but looks almost as good.

How about testing out the not-so-new Renault Captur which shares the same engine? My brother drives the 1.5dci diesel one in Singapore and it's really not bad at all especially with the outstanding fuel economy.
Also, can you talk a bit more about the engine/transmission performance and about fuel economy. For the average guy, fuel consumption is a very important thing at least for me

+Dominic Lansing i've driven the Iriz, it's unfortunately no where near this, or the Euro boys in every aspect. The Iriz is miles better than the Myvi though in terms of handling.

Hi Bobby, I have been waiting for the Renault Fluence review from you quite sometime, but I already make my decision to own the Fluence Dynamique. 😬 French Design some say yes but some ppl say that weird, for a year I am driving it still fresh looking in the road compare to the new Civic, maybe I am the kind of person who like the feeling like this.

+Eric Tee yeah thanks to our beloved PM who approved another 100 over AP dealers flooding the market with APs, the entire used/recond market has a sudden influx of cars, resulting in a drop of used car value. It's no Honda when it comes to resale value, but it's not too bad either. Go check Carlist.my; 2013 Vios market price is the same as 2013 Peugeot 208 market price. Both cars used to be around RM80+k
I just bought this car for 35k yesterday. 1.2 Puretech not the 1.6. For secondhand buy is a very good price.

@@oonminloong9929 so far no problem, it's a fast car though. But the insurance in expensive, because they insured/value the car around RM40-45k. So it cost RM2500 including roadtax. It may vary depending on your insurance company.

Hi Bobby, how is the handling of this car? Compared say like VW Polo and the Mazda 2. Secondly this is a 3 potter engine and does it really show the down side of the 3 potter characteristic?
+xiper86 nope, it's a lovely engine! Handling wise, it looses out to Fiesta and Clio GT slightly, but sharper than Polo and Mazda 2, but all handles extremely well and any betterment is by a small margin.

+Kevin kkv Clio has the better dynamics, lousy twin clutch gearbox and cheaper looking interior. Looked less premium too. But the design is sportier while this is classier

Mazda 2 core spec costing 76,000 but giving 5 years free servicing.
Is this 1.2 turbo engine ok? The previous without facelift had a lot of complaints and negative feedback .

I got a 2018 1.2 Puretech Peugeot 208 offer which the car has been left abandon in the house for almost a year, with a less than 5000km millage selling at a cheap price. Since the previous owner did not do servicing, the car has lost the warranty. My question is:
1. Does abandon car as such will affect the lifespan of the car?
2. Should i get the car without warranty? Well aware the reliability of Peugeot has improved a lot but still doubting here and there. I'm a fresh graduate and this will be my first car.

+CWSern aiyaaaah really cant answer you provided i go try again ... but what i can recall is that the car is always very 'relax' because it has enough power and enough gears to relax through most of my driving speeds. Sorry i don't have the figures for your answer, but i doubt it exceeds 2000rpm, even if it does, should only exceed a little as the car feels very relaxed even at highway cruise

208 and Polo at the top of ther class in terms of NVH, but 208 has a more comfortable ride, a higher quality cabin and a prettier face.

I am kinda skeptical about the BMW cause it's 3 cylinder and for a new car the design is still from 2013 compared to Audi and Mercedes which are both new design from 2016? There are quality and gearbox issues with 208 which pissed me off too much.
Aisin gearbox in Peugeot 208, EAT6. I have same gearbox in my 2012 Citroen which has covered 200,000 kms already. No issues. Smooth for normal use and optimum highway usage. Not suitable if you are racing type driver.
Moreover , ford cars uses a lot of petrol
