Holy crap, I had no idea it was this easy to do! My car has been misfiring and I only just got paid, so thanks to this, I can go handle it myself! Thank you for the good tutorial!
Thank you for actually explaining things well and showing what you were doing. A lot of other videos had problems with both of those things.
No problem, I hope it helps!
Thanks for getting right into it instead of a long monologue before. Best video so far. Thanks much!
Lol thank you!
You put to shame all of the guys om youtube who change the front three plugs and don't say anything about the back three.
They should take their videos off of youtube. watching them is a waste of time.
Thanks for doing the job completely, and showing the easiest way to attack the rear plugs.
I'm glad the video helped, that's the goal!
Helpful video! And crazy how you mostly did this using 1 hand.
Glad I could help!
hey man just wanted to say that your video was really informative and gives good insights on where to look for the spark plugs. Last few vids I watched it was just a dude completing the work without showing lol. Thank you!
Lol you're welcome! Glad I could help
I really appreciate you fixing this video for us to go by it's going to save me so much time the reason I know that is I've been working on my daughter's car for about 3 weeks trying to get the alternator out so I can replace the valve cover gasket on the rear and the tricky showed us about moving the motor forwards I should be finished by the end of the day thank you so much
I'm glad you found the video helpful!
Glad I was able to be your 1000th Like. A friend need wires, and I figured I'd do plugs as well.TY for the info.
You're the only guy that removes the whole coil pack bracket coils and all. I can't get to the number 1 cylinder with that in the way. Thanks.
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the video
Definitely took notes watching this video, been a big help
Glad it helped!
🔓 a new level for me on these type of motors. Thanks for sharing this bro
You're welcome!
Best work gloves , this guy knows what’s up
From my old job 😂
Much appreciated mano! I have an 07 Impala I am gonna try the cheap route first and do the plugs today. Would've never thought to use a ratchet strap
I hope it fixes it man!
Thanks for the vid man, i didn’t know how to make space to replace the ones in the back 😅 new sub 🤟🏼
You're welcome man!
Really cool video buddy! Very in depth! Thank you!👍
No problem, hope it helped!
Thx for making this vid. I don't want to dog you too much but I just did my 2006 impala. There's plenty of room on the backside of the engine especially once the coil is removed. No need to tilt the engine. Also, I do not have a 5/8 inch spark plug socket either. Just put two small pieces of black electrical tape inside the socket. It will then be snug enough to remove and insert new plugs without them dropping
You're welcome, what some may find useless may help another. Hope you found the video helpful!
Great video you explained everything thoroughly.
Thank you!!
Thanks for posting this video, made it look easy. Im still dreading trying this myself
The videos always make it look easy lol. This job isn't bad though, compared to the last two spark plug jobs I just did where the upper intake manifold had to be taken off, this jobs is cake.
@@sidbrant lol Ford edge?
Great job on this video!!! thank you.
Very helpful! Thanks.
4:51 Here's the part everyone is looking for.
Great job, very helpful!!!
I'm glad it helped!
Well done, precise, well thought out……
Thanks!
Nice that was excellent thanks
No problem!
Thanks this vid was really healpful
I'm glad you found it useful!
Excellent, thanks for the tips.
Glad you found it helpful!
Great video Bro! Kitty is purring Again😎
Thank you! Glad to hear it!
Thank you brother for your video
Of course!
Great video! Thank you
I hope it helps! You're welcome
I Think Your video was the very best out of many I watched concerning changing spark plugs and wires on my 2009 Chevy Impala. Plus it was very easy to follow. The camera placement showing exactly how to get to the rear plugs. I also liked that idea to use a come along to pull the engine forward making easier access to work on removing the rear spark plugs. I also liked the tip of spinning wire heads some to remove them off the plug easier .☝🏽😀👍🏽
I'm glad I could help!
I agree, the strap was a great idea! ❤
I'm gonna attempt to do this myself on my 2011 impala LT. I already got the front and back removed I just need to focus on them back ones. I got the new coil pack I just gotta get the new spark plug wires. Anyway great video and thanx for explaining everything new sub.
I'm glad the video was helpful! Thank you for the sub
Great video
Thank you!
Good video brother! ✌️
Thank you!
The front is easy, I had no idea how to do the back ones though. So thanks, this should help. I'm gonna check mine this weekend because there's misfire constantly and the engine is shaking badly and not wanting to accelerate good. I replaced the throttle body but that didn't work. I hope it's the spark plugs and nothing else.
I hope they do they trick man!
thx bro 💯
Nice video
*He bold asf spreading that with his finger*
Solid my man
Thank you man
Great video. My granddaughter just bought a 2006 Impala that has a #1 misfire. Thanks for the video. Going to try replacing the spark plugs first. Looks like a total spark plug replacement will not be that hard with your guidance. T
Thank you, I hope it works out well for you!
@@sidbrant Got the plugs changed and the spark plug wires. Plugs apparently were the original ones as they were very hard to get out. Managed to get them out without breaking any. Plugs looked horrible and the car runs so much better. Have not been able to re-scan to see if the misfire went away but pretty confident that it is not.
Thorough and comprehensive . Thanks
You're welcome!
The reason I'm asking because on Google it says 135 on the front spark plug diagram and then another picture has 246 in the front of the motor so which one is it
Can you do a video on changing the fuel injectors on the chevy impala please
Good video
Thank you!
@SidBrant......Moe.... your a genius..... im rebuilding my 2006 chevy impala ltz 3.9l v6....... im watching the spark plug change plug change....... and to get to the back 3 spark plugs..... you used a Ratchet strap to pull & hold the engine foward after removing the front 2 motor mount bolts......F#$k#n Genius my dude......I didn't even think of that...... and I have a Ratchet strap to make it happen....... you a straight genius my dude......I dont even care who thought of it 1st or where you learned it..... bottom line is.....I learned it from you..... my name is Luke..... from staten island, new york....... keep it 💯 always my gee..... great easy to follow video.......p.s..... you have no idea how this just impacted my life......I know I said it before..... but my man is a straight up Gee-nius 👍👍👍...... also you just earned another subscriber...... and I liked the video..... with the notification 🔔 set to all
I'm glad to hear the video help you out man! I can't take none of the glory though, all of that belongs to my Father God in heaven! Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father
Sid, that spark plug cap you removed in the back, is that a distributor cap? Should it be changed aswell? Great video with music!
Thank you! It's the coil pack (newer version of a distributor) and this one was still good so I didn't change it out, but if you wanted to it would be a great time to do it!
I have a question I'm about to do the tune-up on my car it's a 2010 Chevy Impala 3.5 LT what number of specs should the spark plug be gapped to
Looks like 0.043"
Ugh so I started last night and removed the motor mount bolts and the motor moved back toward the firewall about a inch. I got the ratchet strap on same as you and it’s super tight but not pulling the motor forward. Thinking my driveway to steep maybe? Going to move to the street later today and see if that helps. My bolts didn’t slid out at all, needed a punch and hammer with all that weight on them. Hopefully it’s just the slope of the driveway and nothing else. 😮
😂 level street is best y’all!
😂😂
What do you recommend when my impala feels sluggish? I feel like it doesn't have that a strong acceleration.
I would check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes first
Where did you get the torque specs? I wanted to change my transmission fluid but my owners manual doesn’t mention the specs.
I searched it on Google and got it off of a forum I believe
I have a 2010 Chevy Impala Lt 3.5 and the front of the motor where the fans are at what numbers are those in spark plugs 135 or 246
Are you asking what number each cylinder is?
It's cuz the last time I did a spark plug change I took them all off I didn't go one by one and I don't know if I have the wire connected right to the distributor
Yes which cylinder is which number on a 2010 Chevy Impala LT is it 135 cylinders in front of the motor
spray wd40 first and twist coil pack nice and easy , also use a cushioned 5/8 with rubber insert incase the ceramic breaks on the spark plug. if u crack the spark plug and you get ceramic in the engine its a nightmare
My impala’s a 2010 it started missing I took it to auto zone no code s any ideas???
That is an odd one, usually you can't get the code to go away lol
Great video, well done!
Glad you liked it!
What spark plugs did you use and what wires do u get
I believe this customer just wanted the cheaper ones from the local Autozone, Advance Auto or O'Reillys if I remember correctly
🤙🏽 ...
I see your a/c makes that same annoying loud clicking sound as mine does whenever you reconnect the battery or turn the temp all the way down. What is that anyway?!?!
Anyway I forgot to say, extremely well done! This was most helpful for doing a tune up on my own 2007.
My guess would be the teeth on the motor of the blend door that changes the temperature slipping
Thank you, I'm glad the video was helpful!
Just did this on same car an hour ago. Getting to the back spark plugs is a full blown pain.
Definitely is
Spark plug sockets are overrated, but I do use em. Not every single time is it the best tool tho.
They are great! I just don't have one lol
OKI am literally confused what this man is doing with his line lock. Because I know people that have done spark plug changes and didn't even use line log but I also know that it's recommended to use it. And I have never seen someone put lion on thread and then spread it around with your thumb. You put the line lock on and then you screw it in the hole that weighed the threads on both sides get golden locked. That's how thread locker is used. You put a line and then you screw it in
I have a 5.3 v 8
I dont like how chevy put the
Last 3 in the back
Those sideways v6's man lol
Were u located i need my shii changed😂
😂😂
I just did my 3.9 bro those back ones got my arms hella scratched up did it no ratchet lol
Listen to those damn actuators SMH lol
Lol I was wondering what that noise was
AutoZone is saying 0.60 and I saw a couple of videos on CZcams and they say 0.44 or 0.45 but then AutoZone is telling me 0.60
So cylinder 246 is in front of the motor and the 135 in the back? And what should a spark plug be got to 0.44 or 0.60
Looks like 123 in the back 456 in the front. Plugs are 0.043"
Because in your video you said let's pull wire number one which was in front of the motor and I thought even numbers were together and odd work together how are you reading the firing order from the driver side Tire to the right side Tire
Cylinder number and firing order are two different things. You asked for cylinders
It's because I was doing a tune-up and I bought a new ignition coil and I took off all the wiring from the spark plugs not knowing in what order they go to what number from the ignition coil that's what I need help on
How much weight does the ratchet strap need to be able to handle?
Awesome video btw
Not much, I think that was a 400lb strap
Great video
Thank you!
