    I have found a good way for me to remove that stuck plug boot. These boots become baked
    onto the plug. Get a suitable size worm gear type hose clamp. Put it tightly all the way down
    to the boots end where it is right next to engine block. Now tighten it up securely. Now do
    this . Pull up on hose clamp, even twisting it back and forth. You are separating it away from
    being baked into plug. Do not give up. It will now separate from plug. Works every time for me.😊9

    My father had an Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra with that engine. I remember the back spark plugs were a pain. I see those plug wires were tough enough to remove on the front side, and they were easy to get to. I think I remember putting dielectric grease inside the new wire boots to make them easy to remove the next time.

  • @JeffWinter1
    @JeffWinter1 Před 2 lety

    Had an 06 Freestar 4.2L same thing. Take off windshield to engine plastic and just slip your hands behind and do everything by touch. Would always buy plugs and wires because you knew it would be an epic battle. Now with a Kia Rondo 2.7L you just remove the surge tank which is just as big a pain, so...🤪
