There it is, very comprehensive information on that dreaded thing and what to do. I seem to remember people in North Texas counties having a serious problem back in the day. BTW, loved the old opening, love the new one too. And the symbol with your name in the lower left hand corner, adorable!

I found that there is a risk of the knockout roses sold at the big box store to have Rose Rosette Disease. I'm too afraid to buy any of those knockout roses! I would hate for that disease to get into my David Austin roses, or any other of my roses for that matter. Thank you, Olga!

I also heard the bad reputation of knockout roses in big box stores, but didn't think that would be true. I never buy knockouts to begin with, but from now I will be very vigilant about bringing some unwelcomed mites to my garden.

@@OlgaCarmody What are knockout roses? Is it that kind you find usually in parking lots of strip malls?

@@fontenellerenata Those are hardy roses bred by Griffith Buck. They are disease resistant and you can see them for sale in spring everywhere. Not my favorite, since flower form is not very beautiful, but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

One of my favorite Oklahoma gardeners lost nearly every rose to this horrible disease. Many of her bushes had been passed to her from her mother and even her grandmother. She was of course heartbroken. There simply has to be a way to eradicate rose rosette disease.

Oh, gosh, what a dreadful situation! What heartbreak! Folks who don't garden, don't understand how horrible this disease can be.
