- A few things I've learned while living here, but mostly me talking about how bad my on-campus housing experience was.
Before anyone who loved Chico starts disagreeing with me, I understand I haven't experienced all of Chico yet, plus I got the 2nd worst dorm there, so there's gonna be a part 2 after I spend another semester or two here.
You should still comment anyways though, it helps engagement, appreciate it. :)

Just a side note from a Chico native. You are correct, there's not a lot of "city"type things to do. However, if you are into hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, lakes/ river fun, Frisbee golf, fishing, camping, dirt track racing or any other outdoor activities, there's LOTS to do. Without a car obviously some stiff can be difficult, however if a friend can give you a ride you can get to a lake, river or the mountains and have a great time. The music scene can be a great time too. Love the video and you make great points. New subscriber.
CSU Chico also has an outdoor resource center to bus students to outdoor locations trips including kayaking, hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing trips and more.
1.) Chico is know to have a lot of bike theft
2.) Chico state feels more like an East coast
3.) Chico state students can use their IDs to get on the city bus transport without having to pay or buy a B-line card (highly take advantage of that)
That's all I can think of for now lol
Every college deals with bike theft. Just get a 2 separate U locks. 4 years never had a bike stolen.
I went to Chico state. Best years of my life. I lived at Craig Hall. Where they played Disney movies and party music on the shuttle everyday. I also had a bike (with two locks). They have dorm, apartment, and duplex housing options. Which can include the dinning hall. It is far from any bar or party. But I eventually moved out as all freshmen’s do. Loved all five years I was there. Lived at all corners of the college area after. I’d go back for masters if I could.

At small liberal-arts colleges where there are no graduate students, teaching ability is prized more. But small schools aren’t for everyone. Most learning in life happens outside classrooms.
Take comfort in this, dude.... inflation doesn't appear to have impacted the cost of laundry. It was a dollar for a wash and a dollar for a dry back in 2000 when I was there. Yay! :)
Man I loved the UV.
What's the bio department like I wonder?
If you can get the University housing dorms all the other dorms feel like a prison
Sucks you had to deal w COVID your first year of college but I don’t think you’ve had a chance to experience much yet
So true 😂 LESSON LEARNED 💯
Hey I’m coming to Chico tmr , always down to make friends so maybe I’ll see you there:)
How's Chico state like?
What's the parking like there? Is it smart to bring a car?
if in the dorms you can get a parking pass and you get a spot a block or two away from ur room. If you live off campus and drive to class it can be tough to find easy parking. Its totally doable to bring a car as a first year.
hey man what do you think of the party and student life at your school? i will be doing an exchange semester and I have this as an option. my decision will be based on where I can party the most and get the most girls and just have fun. Would you recommend I come here?
If that's your main goal then yea absolutely. the classes give you plenty of time to go out unless you're in STEM.
Yep dorm is defiantly not lassen
yessir
Real
Defiantly not laser hall
Hello,
Good eye opener.
Can you please recommend accommodation for International Graduate student ?
Something private on Campus and off campus.
what about the social life such as parties and events
I also go to Chico State and there is a huge social aspect, especially if you are in the dorms. Something they never tell you about parties is if you are a guy and not in a frat, you most likely will not get in unless you have seven girls with you. I see too many people get sucked into the party life, so create a balance.
@@julianaalegre7193 I mean the frats are the ones who are hosting the party so it’s there rules
That’s not true at all. You don’t need a frat or sorority to do shit. Some of my friends joined them and my girlfriend was in a sorority but I decided not to and never regretted it
@@julianaalegre7193 had a few friends that screwed themselves by getting sucked into the party scene. Falling multiple classes due to not showing up is a fast way to ruin your college career.
Seems like u could of ...oh I don't know looked all this information about Chico and Chico st on this thing called google...
Honestly I hate chico state 😂
