Looks like there are a lot of comments suggesting I check out the Music Video - if you would like to see a reaction to the MV, like this comment!
The video is a master piece. I would also recommend an explanation of this song by DKDKTV as it has many cultural references. It will give a glimpse of Suga's lyrical genius and depth and layers. I will forward to both. We love to watch long videos so don't worry. 💜💜💜🇮🇳
Pls do the MV. I'd like for you to also watch the explained video by Bookish Theory 👍
Please do the MV
The music video is amazing! So creative and the production value is so high!
The lyrics it's really important, l put a lot of attention , but l recommend the MV of this song it's fire 🔥
Oh nooooooo! You have to do the actual mv, not the lyrics video!! The mv is my favorite movie of all time!
Seriously, I'm going to cry from the wrongness of it all. 😭
@@krstephens8052 Including the special wrongness that is Jaeguchi
Agust D/SUGA is ranked as one of the most influential producers and songwriters in South Korea, who won multiple awards over the past few years, including best producer. He debuted at #9 on Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters Chart. He became the first male soloist in history to have a song and album reach No.1 on iTunes in 100 countries each. He is ranked Billboard's Top solo Korean Album Artist of 2020. His mixtape "D-2" debuted at #11 on Billboard 200. And there is just a few of his achievements.
He has two self-produced mixtapes: "Agust D" (2016) and "D-2" (2020), which broke several records on music charts worldwide. He uses his platform to talk about important topics and most of his lyrics touch such subjects as mental health, social issues, the contrast between dreams and reality, etc.
"Daechwita" is a genre of Korean traditional military music, which was played to announce the arrival of king.
He also produces/writes a lot of songs for BTS as well as for other top artists.
I recommend you to check out
Agust D - "Agust D" MV;
BTS - "Interlude: Shadow" MV (it is his solo song).
SUGA likes mixing traditional music with hip hop. Another song, produced by him with same vibes, is BTS - Ddaeng
I love Ddaeng
Watch the MV to get the full impact of his rap.
Lyrics are ok but the mv is slammin'
Just keeping it real

oh wow, okay,....some things. The officvial MV is a must. The DKDKTV Explanation is also a must. Suggest that you do them back to back. The MV is a period piece, beautifully filmed and it is impossible to understand the mv without watching the Korean explanation for it. On a side...it is based on the theory of discovery & acceptance of Self as described in Map of the Soul by Carl Jung. If you follow the album, the first is RM's rap called Persona. The explanation for that rap explains the Map of the Soul series of BTS albums. Any time you can find an explanation, please react to it after the video....ESPECIALLY songs like Spring Day, Ddang, Spine breaker, Baepsae, etc. We love to see your reaction to what the songs are REALLY about ...otherwise, you're missing out.
Suga once stated K Pop is not a genre but an integrated approach, defined by a confluence of auditory with visuals including costuming, makeup, motion and props. While this song being a rap is not choreography based, it does strongly demand this formula to be fully appreciated. As such, while I loved your reaction I felt like you so missed out by opting away from the music video which is beyond impressive. BTS just did a group performance of this song for an internet concert and yes it largely emulated the music video as the visual story telling is very much part of this song.
The audio in this lyric video is from MV. You should check out MV, it is masterpiece. His whole mixtape D-2 is fire, he is very good producer and songwriter
Should check the MV!
Glad you enjoyed Daechwita, it's one of my favorites :) Came out during the pandemic on D-2, so it hasn't be performed for a live audience yet.
A rule of thumb for which videos to choose - if the video comes directly from Bangtantv, Hybe, or Big Hit, you can pretty much trust the translation. You may miss a few of the cultural references, but overall, those translations are good. If you have the choice between one of those videos and the color coded, your best bet is the original. Definitely check out the MV, it's gorgeous.
You'll want to check out explanation videos or annotated lyrics for this one to catch a lot of the historical/cultural references. SUGA looooves his historical references lol.
Not Suga alone but all 7 performed it at Sowoozoo, their online concert.
Thanks for the heads up, a few folks mentioned I should look at the color coded vids for BTS for accurate lyrics but it seems like everyone in these comments wants the MV, might have to come with another reaction for the MV itself!
@@PremierMusicTribe Yeah, definitey. It's one of the best MVs around. Sorry you're getting the typical contradictory recommendations. But if there's an official MV from Hybe or Big Hit it will have good subs.
@@PremierMusicTribe they are never perform their solo songs from solo project except solo songs from BTS album..But this year at muster to celebrate 8 year BTS debut they perform Daechwita and chicken noodle soup (j hope solo) and all member perform this songs
@@mochiluvr6753 The OT7 performance was fabulous! Loved it so much :) I meant that they haven't performed it for an audience that is physically in front of them.
Watch the mv you'll love it
Agust D is one of the most successful Korean soloist.
You should check out his agust d mv , give it to me mv and interlude shadow mv.
In my opinion , he is the most versatile and best rapper in Korea.
this king is on a whole different level 🙏😖
u should check out his other song ‘agust d’ 👀
I think you would love Interlude: Shadow music video which is Suga’s solo
He was undeground rapper before BTS. And he is also producer
Suga is great songwriter and producer. Please check out he was producer of IU Eight. IU she is famous songwriter, producer and great actress in the Korea.
The only time you should watch the color-coded lyrics is if there isn't an official MV on the Hybe or Big Hit channel. Also, don't watch Jaeguchi ever, ever, ever.
The MV is what you need to view !
watch the actual mv it's awesome visuals
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭Please watch the MV. It’s best!
You should react to the rest of this trilogy now that’s is complete. Haegum is next with Amygdala finishing it up giving background to where the mad king came from and how AgustD was Suga’s way of dealing with trauma.
You should check out the official MV, as well as the Sowoozoo live concert they just did where they perform this song as well, even though this is a solo song, and they also did the solo song by J-Hope, Chicken Noodle Soup. Watch the original MV first then the live concert they did last week.
I’ve listened to this song a million times already so I don’t mind without the video but watching a reaction is better with MV.
Pronounced “August D”. The song was who he used to be (cruel, selfish, greedy. He grew up poor, had to fight, and became all these negative things) fighting against who he became (humble, kind, and honest but fierce at everything he does. He became the humble king). The gun he used to shoot who he used to be (the “king” character) is called an Army (which is what he also calls his fans) so essentially he killed who he used to be with the Army (his fans) and has made it as the kind and humble king. The true kind. Daechwita means a traditional Korean song/cadence that’s played to announce the Kings arrival.
Please react to the music video to experience the full effect of "Daechwita".
Mv reakt👑
You should also check out RM solo 'Joke', 'do you'
also Jhope solo 'daydream' 'ego' , 'airplane'
Also suga's a.k.a agustd 'agust D' 'interlute:shadow'
These are some of their works, all three of them are so talented and there are also the vocal line with their own solo works. I hope you can watch them and enjoy, and also I really like your reactions
It's a great song, but the MV is like a historical drama, filmed in a historic location and he portrays two characters playing off each other. At least watch it on your own sometime.
You have to get the video mauhahahaha hole other level
Pretty much with any bts song the video adds many many more layers. Not every song has a vid of course but the ones that do are must see
will do moving forward! thanks for the feedback :)
Daechwita = Make way for the king (you should watch the music video, tho')...
Why didn't you watch the video. In my opinion it was the best video of 2020.
You should check out his song called agust d
Agust D self titled song next. Then Shadow.
u should react the mv
He doesn't perform as Agust D. He performed only one song as Agust D during BTS concert - it was Tony Montana. Also he let BTS members to perform his two songs
Pls react to the mv
React to the music vid
Watch the music video brooo
I’m sooo sad you are reacting to a lyric video when there is such an amazing official music video with accurate subtitles for this song. So yes please react to it. Lyric videos you can use for songs that don’t have music videos or live performances with captions. Also Daechwita is the traditional marching band music that was played when the king is walking back in the era of dynasties.
Thanks for the insight, that's helpful context on Daechwita! And the MV reaction is coming soon :) Will keep your feedback in mind moving forward, I'm learning with each video how to make this experience better for you all!
@@PremierMusicTribe Totally understand. This is new to you but you’ll pick up stuff quickly. Fans are always happy to guide you. As long as you stay genuine with your reactions we’ll appreciate you.
