  • A 30742 Charter (apologies for misspelling in video) remembering Penrhyn 50 years from Closure, with 6 visiting locomotives.
    Featuring:-
    - Quarry Hunslets "Hugh Napier" & "Sybil Mary"
    - Avonside "Marchlyn"
    - Kerr Stuart "Stanhope"
    - Hudswell Clarke w/n 1238 (sister of former Penrhyn engine Bronllwyd)
    - Hunslet "Lilla"
    - Plus Statfold Barn's Steam Navvie.
    Also in action on service trains was resident "Sir Tom".
    All of the Penrhyn locomotives featured on run past along the running line along with line ups and shunting demonstrations at the Quarry head.

    Stanhope is my favorite British narrow gauge locomotive, followed closely by Earl of Merioneth.
    I really like the look of that little Avonside though!

    We're so lucky to see this. Bravo! The country looked so much nicer running on steam, almost a clockwork or analogue society from our digital world now.

    i have to make myself realize that these arnt toys or miniature engines . these are actual working industrial engins .
