Just got the moto g stylus a few days ago and I absolutely love it! The performance is really impressive and the camera takes amazing pictures
Maybe the brightness on the LG is the company's cheat way of having the battery last longer.
It could be. Same thing with the new LG K51 phone as well. I have one of those and as soon as root comes out for it I'll bet they'll be a way of boosting up the brightness. Same with the Stylo 6.

@@abbyag I just got the moto g stylus today because my iPhone 11 hasn't had service since I been out of work and I needed something with service to hold me off until I get back to work after vacation. It was a good deal tho bc my mom only had to pay $130 total for a $300 phone. It is bigger and has a higher res screen than my iPhone AND stereo speakers (though inferier to the 11) so ive been using it for video watching. I'm getting back into the perks of Android like CZcams vanced (no ads) and Spotify premium without the monthly bill. The 11 still has better viewing angles tho and iOS is still way way smoother. I use my iPhone for social media and hardcore games, but this Moto g stylus is definitely fun to play with.
@Lion PaW people aren't upset they can't max out the brightness while they're in a dark environment. People r upset because a screen has to b at a certain level of brightness to b easily viewable in direct sunlight. The LG Stylo 6 would b dim and hard to read in direct sunlight even at max brightness. Indoors or in the shade it wouldn't b a problem, but it's nice to have a phone that will work in both situations.
"Averaged sized at 6.4". I remember when 5.5" was considered massive lol. Really miss compact phones..

I've never had a smaller phone but I can imagine it would be easier to use the screen that way
phone's didn't get much bigger, but nowadays bezels are almost non-existent

I believe that the overall faster performance of the Moto G Stylus over the LG Stylo 6 will make Motorola's phone a better choice for those who wish to keep (and keep using) their phone over a longer period of time.

@@mocha7707 you do have an option! The Moto g stylus just went down in price again and it runs about the same price as a Stylo 6, there may be a few dollar difference but just know that you do have options.

I have had the LG Stylo phones for couple yrs and went with Moto g just last week and love it I think it's so much better in so many ways number one the sound,Moto is way louder.this phone is slot of fun to play with. recommend this phone over stylus 6 all the way u won't be disappointed.

I wish I would have seen this before I got my Stylo 6 like a week ago because the Moto G Stylus seems much better and is cheaper at metro. Either way, it is still an upgrade from what I had before so I am not mad about it.
The g stylus is free at metro if you add a line! That's how I got mine!
It is my ex had the stylo6 and I had stylus and I hated her phone it was slower the stylus was lighter and thinner than mine even the stylos speakers were way quieter compared to my styluses dolby dual speakers just upgrade to a stylus if you can price has dropped and definitely worth it I upgraded/downgraded with the moto g power I didn't need/care for the stylus but it's a love it or hate it thing but I wanted better battery life thats why I switched to the moto g power but next phone will be the s20 fe or lg g8x dual screen

The stylo 5 is so slow and garbage in my opinion. Moto is more snappy then any stylo.
I have the LG Stylo 5 and although I really love the stylist feature having only 3 gigabytes of RAM causes a lot of stalling issues... I often have to quell the urge to smash it to pieces...
my previous phone was the Moto X4 with 4GB of memory and it can run circles around the Stylo...

The ram isn't really the issue. It's the lg software optimization that sucks. I have 2 other phones with 3gb of ram, 1 of em have the same exact processor as the stylo 6, and they both are much more responsive. Hopefully LG addresses this with an update in the very near future.
@@michaelwarrecker1177 yes the lg software optimization does suck but trust me when I say this ...that 3 gb of RAM does play a big part...the RAM plays a bigger part as to how smooth your phone runs & the responsiveness of your OS. Yes a person can get by on 3gb of RAM but honestly the standard for phones should be 4gb on up. Lg stylo 6 made a crucial mistake by cutting corners & going along with 3gb of RAM! JS 🤷🏾♂️

Thanks for the review! I am debating between Moto G Stylus and LG Stylo 6. I had Moto for many years before, and I love the battery life and durability. Now I have LG Q7 and it is time to upgrade. Your review is very good and point out important pros and cons. One unique feature I have to point out about Moto which I love is if you shake the phone, it will turn on the flash light and if you wave the phone device, it will turn on the camera. I have never seem the same feature on any other phones. It is important for me when I go out to backyard to check on my chickens, I can just shake my Moto phone to turn on the flash light. And if they are too cute, I can just wave my phone to take pictures. (Honestly, my chickens are too cute most of time. :) Anyway, Metro by T-Mobile offers great promotion for both of Moto G Stylus and LG Stylo 6 now. I can upgrade my LG Q7 to Moto G Stylus for only $179 +tax. If you are switching from other carriers, it will even cheaper than that. Thanks for the great review again!

internal memory is big to us over here....just got the moto G and am very happy with it. We do the game thing here so there was no question as to what to buy and utilize for what we do.....and the cam features are pretty cool too

This reminds me of the Stylo 3 upgrade from the Stylo 2. It was better but only 720p. Then LG released the Stylo 3+ and to be honest, the Stylo 3+ was a better value than the 4 or the five. So it would be great if LG would release 6+ with 4 gig ram and better screen brightness. But honestly, it appears they don't want the Stylo to be to good of a phone because it would cut in on the sale of their top teir phone sales.
Think about it, a Stylo 6 Plus with the whole punch and 1080p oled display, 6 gig ram and 128 gb storage with expandable memory of 256. Their budget phone would be the flagship killer of their own flagship line-up. I was a Stylo fan of the 3+ and the 4 but now after buying a Note 10+ for like only a little more than double the price of the Stylo 5, buying a Stylo 6 for a second phone is a hard sell for me. If they offer a 6+ with upgraded spec, I might but for now, I'll pass and again, thanks for this great video.

The Moto G stylus does support turbo charging it's just Motorola cheapened out and included a 10 watt charger. When you plug the phone into a turbo charged USB port it will pull at least 15 watts.
I actually use NFC most times but it's hard to past on the Moto g stylus when compared to this boost mobile version of the Stylo 6
Love my Moto G Stylus! Great pic, sound, battery, storage and performance for a phone that I can afford. Switched from Boost to Google Fi just to get rid of my laggy LG Stylo 6, although I do miss the type of stylus on the LG.
If the Stylo had 4 gb of ram I prolly would have took one but I'm ready for phones to get away from 3gb ram it's too slow for anyone except Apple
3 would be enough if android was optimized better. That's why even apple usually beats out android in usage. I'll still stand by android but we need optimization

Heliotek chipset on the stylo 6 is what made me turn it down. LG should have stuck with snapdragon. Heliotek has a tendency to overheat. The G stylus so far has out performed any phone I've owned. I still believe there's room for improvement though. But nonetheless the moto is a solid phone.
What's a better phone you can get from metro by T-Mobile that focuses on on good camera quality and great storage? I'm thinking of upgrading to the Moto but if there's a better option I wanna know!
What about the moto g stylus messaging app and gallery app? For the gallery app can you create albums to seperate pictures easily. And for the messaging can you change the background wallpaper in the messaging app and change the balloon bubbles for the messages that you send.

I have a Stylo 5 right now....funny part about it, I never use the pen, I've never taken it out even I got the phone because it was the most inexpensive that T-Mobile had..... and now, I was really interested in upgrading to a Stylo six I am with the T-Mobile right now. I'm not a gamer every once in awhile I'll watch a video but what really concerns me about the style of six is that you are the second person who has indicated that it is dimmer.... that kind of worries me because right now I have my Stylo 5 turn brightness all the way up. hadn't you guys mentioned it being dimmer would I even notice it? again thanks for the great review.....

Well, I have an update.... with respect to the Stylo 6, I went to T-Mobile and traded my Stylo 5 for the Stylo 6. It was only about $45 for the upgrade, and $5 more per month. I must say that the Stylo 6 is huuuuge, (As Trump would say). I'm very happy with it... it took me a while to get used to the "gesture mode" until I finally figured out how to adjust it back to the way I'm used to a phone operating. So all is well, that ends well.

Ive had the LG stylo 6 for about a year after the stylo 4 stopped charging. I liked when it would keep a charge for a couple of days. Now it only stays charged for less than a day. Metro is offering the Moto stylo free with exchange. I also wanted cheaper plan than cricket for 48.00 minus 5 bz of auto pay. Ive never had a Moto phone bfr. Will I be happier with the Moto stylis over LG stylis 6?

Absolutely. Outside of Pixel and Android One devices, this is the closest you can get to stock android. And the moto gestures and the peek display are really useful value additions.

Husband used this only it was the stylo2. When LG did a software update over a year ago the phone stopped working. It was with Boost Mobile. Would never buy another LG again because of that. No one ever mentions call and voice quality any more. Is there a reason?
You can get rid of the lag I think in the settings somewhere.

LG's decision to use the P35 processer is a disaster. The Moto g stylus is much, muuuuuch better than the Stylo 6 and it's not even close. Good luck trying to do anything with Stylo 6 that doesn't include light web browsing.

Of everyone who has purchased--- which phone has the better people pic taking camera. I find that most smart phone cameras distort the real features...I want the one that looks the most like real life. Like the old disposable cameras...they took great pics...they looked like you in real life. Any suggestions.

I really like Motorola but my LG!!!! 😩 my Motorola can't pick out themes maybe I'm heartbroken because I'm super girly and I loved being able to doll my phone up Lol. Just recently bought a Moto g stylus I in the past loved the LG stylus so one through five but I got tired of them being the same each upgrade I went with Moto g this time because I loved the camera and I love the fact that it was smaller than the six LG my gripe with the Moto g stylus is when it starts up why does it take so long to get to the first screen I don't need to to see those color flashing over and over it's just way too long on the startup is there a way to prevent that stop it don't have it at all please respond with answers if there are any

A really great and very honest comparison. Like that you listed some of the problems and issues, which I sometimes find many won't really address. To me the Moto looks like the far better phone. I think it's way overpriced though. The $144 deal from Boost Mobile would make it the far better deal right now. Even at $179 I think it's the better deal. At $219, I'm not sure as much. I'd probably go with the Motorola if forced to pay top price for both.

I have both and believe me the Moto is in a class of it's own it's even better than the iPhone pro Max believe it or not!

The moto is a massive upgrade. Camera and speakers are way better. Far smoother user experience. The screen isn't a massive improvement, but the screen on both are really nice imo

The Phone at Metro is 239.00 with upgrade for existing customers 177.00 thow other deals for switching companies. I plan to upgrade to this because of my being a care giver who has to deal with a lot of electronic paperwork that requires a signature.

I am a loyal LG customer. I get the new Stylo iteration every year a few months post release. But, if they don't step it up in certain areas for next year's release (Stylo 7) CPU/GPU..and camera. I will try something different, possibly next year's motorola stylus equipped offering...
