Working in a phone store you make me feel like going this much in depth when showing customers phones but alas more than half of my customers are just like oooo big screen? I'll take your entire stock
Most average consumers know nothing about all of the tech that makes up a smartphone or a TV, etc. They just look at screen size and brand name without learning about the pros and cons and what features a device has or lacks and how that would affect their everyday usage. There are certain features on phones that average people don't even know they want because they haven't used a flagship phone. My Mom used to use a Galaxy Core Prime which had a mediocre 5MP camera (not ultra garbage cuz it's better than nothing but you get the idea) and was sluggish with the CPU. After she switched to the LG G7 ThinQ, it was a night and day upgrade for her with the 1440p screen, Ultrawide camera with 18:9 aspect ratio, 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 845. She has already traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Norway, etc with the G7 and has taken wonderful pictures AND recorded many 1080p 60fps videos. I bet most people that are quick to praise the Stylo 6 haven't even used a Galaxy Note phone to see what they're missing.
I know right? My buddy went from LG Stylo 3 to iPhone whatever. Then he wanted to play his music on my BOSE speaker and he realized he didn't have the Audio Jack and he was pissed haha
I would be scared to use a headset on this phone because of the tinnie sound.. It would blow out my eardrums.. Music, voices, everything sounds like crap on it.. The whole back of the phone rattles like bad speakers.. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
I tried an iPhone 7 when boost and metro had it for free when you switched over.... worst mistake I've ever made, was ridiculous when I found out you need an add on to even breath when you own an iphone.

Wow! I had the Stylo 2 Plus. I loved it except I outgrew the internal storage and moved to the Stylo 4. I still use it with wifi to access the internet. But hey, if yours isn't broke and it does what you need, no reason to replace it.🙂

I just bought my Stylo 6 last week and love it. I had the 3 and 4 and they were both good phones so it was a no brainer when I was shopping for a new one. Boost is offering end extra 20% off until the 18th and I scored mine for $140 plus tax. It's a great buy for the money!
I say this losely and with much emotion, No one uses face unlock on a budget phone! finger print and pin are fine. very basic phone with everything you need. outstanding LG ;)
Hello everybody who is watching this and may be planning to get the stylo 6! Today I decided to buy it despite everyone saying how it is rather slow, and so far for my first few hours on this device I have noticed that this phone is not moving slow at all for me. Though, it is rather very very long. It is manageable though. People have said this phone is heavy, but it is not to me. Also, yes this phone does come with 64gb, though due to some pre installed apps about 20gb's have already been used. That kind of sucks, but before I had a phone with only 32gb's and 2 ram so I am still happy about this LG Stylo 6. If you have any other questions please just ask me!
Yeahhhh, its a little dated. With a front display that looks like the A71 - hole punch, slim sides, etc. this phone would be awesome. Even the A11 has a better design and its a bit cheaper.
I've had this phone for almost a month, Good memory, big screen, headphone jack, it Lags when multitasking, I like the NFC payment, but NOT MEANT FOR GAMING. sucks at COD, I use my Moto G7power for that. And it's affordable. Had the stylo 4, not the 5. This is an improvement , but would've been better if more RAM, and faster processor. Camera is not the best at all, No 4K , it has '1080p' but it's just like any other Android camera,
I just love these long cinematic aspect ratio phones, I'm an xperia guy, have an xperia 10 plus, and will love an LG like this, I also love their screens, as you I believe they are good without being amoled screens.

just got mine, i love it, it really loud, dual speakers, great for watching videos, the width of it, the screen is really bright, some reviews say it isnt, great phone
Glad it was helpful! You might also look into the Moto G Stylus - a bit more expensive, but similar with the stylus and actually with better specs too. May be a better investment longterm.
Just got mine yesterday. Jumped from 4 to 6. For me, there is some habits I have to break usage wise. The user interface is actually easy to use but differs from the 4. The only complaint wich is petite but some may agree that this phone is heavy, but it compensates with the construction and glossy appearance. I still place a full protection case around it and I encourage everyone to do that. Even though I have the insurance, I will do what it takes so I wont be inconvenienced, dealing with them for a new phone or repairs and the fact they act like they will replace your phone with a lesser model at times.
I got a 6 a few weeks ago its pretty nice the os is kinda weird at first but easy to get used to Only problem is nowhere i went had it in any color other than the one in the video
How i had the stylo 4. Ive dropped that phone in water ive dropped it on the ground Atleast 5 times. My screen never cracked. And it still works perfectly phone it still look brand new. But i upgraded to the 6 cause i just wanted to upgrade
I cracked mines earlier this yr. And as of today I'm over my stylo 4 and need to upgrade. I hate how it only has 32GB too not enough for me at all. Phone acting slow now due to low storage. This my first budget phone and that's the only thing i hate about it.
I completely shattered the screen on the Stylo 4 after having it for less than 2 months. In that time, my carrier started selling the Stylo 5 for about the same price I got the Stylo 4 at. Instead of replacing the screen, I just got the Stylo 5. I'm using it to write this comment. If you are someone that is currently using the Stylo 5 and thinking about upgrading to the Stylo 6, I'd honestly wait until the Stylo 7, if it will even be a thing, or upgrade to a higher end device. I'm perfectly happy using my Stylo 5 for another year. Just watching this to have a personal prediction of a possible Stylo 7.

got one of these today from my dad, I must say Im happy it seems pretty nice so far! The speaker set up is especially interesting, i didnt know phones actually had those- it'll take getting use to XD But the phone feels smooth and over all easy to manage, which i appreciate.
I love the brand LG. I had Motorola for a bit and it was aggravating to navigate on a less than par type phone. My husband was looking at LG for me and we came across this. I am happy about this. I am waiting for him to set up my new phone while I watch this review.
At first, I enjoyed having this phone and really like the look of it, however after using it for 3 months the phone started freezing up, so I'd have to power off the backlight and turn it back on just to unfreeze it, it was a very inconvenience at times. I do love the size and some of the built-in features, it does take a while to load.
Just got my LG stylo 6 and I love the screen size. For me the size is perfect and it feels even better with a slim case and screen glass protector. Definitely worth the money.
Switched to Stylo 6 from an LG G6. I haven't made up my mind yet about this one, except that it's huge and a bunch of the smart features are absent from it that I loved on my G6.
Lg has the best speakers.. I mess around with the eq and make it louder. Everyone is always telling at me to turn it down. My stylo 5 is at its max. It's wicked
I think my only dissapointment with this phone would be where the stylus is located. I had to go back to my stylo 3 and I love the pen being in the top. Lot less easy to lose or have it come out. Not too crazy about the pop out feature. I want it secure. My stylo 4 was a great phone but that was my issue was the stylus. Definetly think they neglected the whole aspect of it and the phone being named after it, really doesn't impress. They clearly need to go back and really help bring the technology around it and make it better. Thank you for your video. Has helped me make a pretty accurate decision.
I love that it's 6.8 bc all I do is CZcams video and watch videos, shows, tv and playing roblox with my daughter and I have the stylo 5 so I think imma going to like this stylo 6.
Exactly, and there's a variety of reasons to avoid a mediatek SOC. The GPU mediatek uses is powervr which had always been bad and there's apps like gcam that simply won't work
I love this phone, what I don't love is the heavyness of it, after holding it for a while it becomes awfully uncomfortable in the hand, but even that is not a deal breaker.
I had a stylo 4 fall out of my pocket whilst riding on my man's motorcycle. It got ran over 6 different times bc it fell in our path. When we finally found it, it was a little bent and the display was slightly discolored. But it still worked as if it had no problem. LG is bomb af
I use the stylus a lot for drawing. I've gone through 3 of them so far; there's an attach point about an inch down from the top, right where pressure goes while holding it. It always snaps there.
I have had my phone for two years it’s now falling apart and is useless. My phones screen is cracking off, shutting itself off, and glitching out apps. It was good phone until now, so if your like me and try to wait as long as possible until a new phone, two years is the limit
I just switched today from boost to metro..i got it for 75$..plus case and screen protecter...for 25$ so..100$ out the 🚪..its a pretty decent phone for an lg..i enjoy the video as well ....well done sir😜

@@ianwest1624 i appreciate the suggestion but no thanks. I prefer the stylo 6. Bigger screen, it has it's own dedicated google assistant button. Its chunkier and feels like a very solid phone in the hand. Plus, the Moto G Stylus Is way more expensive. The Stylo 6 Produces great photo and video in natural sunlight. Even though The Stylo 6 doesn't support 4k video recording, the quality is still pretty decent especially how much you are paying for the phone.
So it's been a year now, and I can report no real issues. It works as well as ever and I haven't had to do a reset or anything like that. The only problem is the reflective mirror finish on the screen, which the Stylo 3 also had, it makes it hard to see things sometimes. Beyond that it's been great. I'll probably keep this phone for as long as I did the 3!
The stylo 6 is now free with metro when you add a line or port over. You can basically get the phone activated and working on an unlimited plan for $80 out the door! They are waiving activation fees.
Thank you for this awesome video. I just about had given up on the stylo phones after the 4. The stylo 4 was by far the MOST frustrating smart phone I've had yet as it had a ton of annoying issues. It got so bad that eventually I just switched my number back to one of my older phones that I had saved up lol. Glad I skipped the 5 as there wasn't much of a difference. Coming from a Boost a10e. Got this phone free when I switched to Metro T-Mobile. Have no idea the experience of a Flagship phone, but this is exponentially better than what I'm used to! Had no idea, the point of the stylus. Til I researched. As an artistic person, and former mechanical draftsman, found the Autodesk SketchBook app! Can't wait to explore! Paid activation fee, first month payment, rugged case, and screen protector, $140, out the door! Thanks for the review! Can't wait to see someday, what an expensive phone is like!
@Bryson Aiken Me too! I could see the screen on previous Stylos. When I put the Stylo 6 on my dashboard, it's almost rendered useless to me because I cannot see it. 😣
Try putting your brightness to auto when you go outside. The peak screen brightness should increase a bit but don't expect flagship levels of brightness like the KING of IPS LCD screens known as the LG G7 ThinQ. You get what you pay for.
I had the stylo4 jun 2018, When my dad went into the hospital in mar 2019, having that stylus was a godsend, My style 4 had 2gig and 16 ram. I upgraded to the stylo 5 which had 3 gig ram and 32 gig storage. It isn't IMO that much better but I see the advantages
I just bought this phone yesterday. Im satisfied. My only complaint so far is not really even a complaint. The phone navigation button(s) are reconfigurable (I like old school static navigation buttons) which was a pleasant surprise.
I jumped from a 3 to a 6 and its great! Now I am not one that uses my phone to the extreme. It makes calls, texts and lets me get on apps so it works for my purposes.
I've always been a fan of the LG stylo's line but i have to admit that their wasn't much of a difference between the stylo 4 and stylo 5 but i liked them they were good phones but i really like this one a lot, i've only heard good things about it compared to previous versions of the Stylo line
The last Stylo I had was the 3 and after a moto and a samsung I came back to LG when the K51 came out this year. I'm definitely considering getting the Stylo 6 some don't care for the thickness but that honestly ((Size wise)) my favorite thing about the phone. Looks like it'll make it easier to hold cause there is more phone to grip. And maybe I won't need a thicker phone case maybe just a slim rubber or plastic case, a good tempered glass screen protector, and a pop socket and I'm good 😁

I have 4 and 5 5 being my main phone i use my 4 for social apps and music to be honest the 4 is way better than 5 if you can get the 6 for 100 take the chance but i wouldnt pay more than 100 since 7 is right around the corner
Honestly I regret getting the stylo 6 for starters my finger print sensor just stopped working. And the battery life is horrible drains ridiculously fast. I think the stylo 5 was better. Plus the stylo 5 had a brighter screen longer battery life. I never had issues with the stylo 5 I only got the 6 because I dropped my old stylo 5. I had the stylo 6 not even for a month and the fingerprint sensor already failed.
I love your reviews. We're trying to decide on a replacement for a samsung J3 (gen3) which has 1.5GB/16GB and an SD card. She always is out of space. Obviously, we can't get a decent phone like the J3 for $150 any more. We like the A51 and Pixel 4A better than the Stylo 6, but we'll have to spend $100-150 more to get one of those. Will my wife be happy with the Stylo 6, or do I need to spend the extra dough?
Just got my Stylo 6 yesterday and love it so far. I actually like the fact that it's extra heavy and feels like a brick in my hand. Feels like I actually got something that I paid for and I honestly got it completely free. actually I got two of them free from Metro just for switching From cricket. Very good deal in my opinion.

Thanks for the great review. I have been a loyal Stylo user since its inception. I've been looking for a new phone worth a better camera. I was considering the Google Pixel but then I looked at it at Best Buy. It has a good camera don't get me wrong but the color was just a little off. Then I saw the Motorola Stylus phone. It was pretty cool. The only that I have is the price. Paying$400 for just having a better is a hard pill to swallow. I'm curious to know what would be a better camera for not that more money. Nope. Not at all. At best, LG can become some tiny shred of a rival but not surpass the Note series at all. A headphone jack and Quad DAC is amazing on LG phones but LG is notorious with being very slow with Android updates especially on unlocked phones. My friend's LOCKED G7 on T-Mobile received Android 10 months ago and yet my Mom's unlocked G7 also on T-Mobile is still on Android 9. Also, they no longer have 1440p flagship phones, no USB Power Delivery 3.0, and STILL NO UFS 3.0 storage. Not even Netflix takes LG seriously. Only the LG G6 is certified for Dolby Vision Netflix but no other LG phone after that. Netflix already certified the Galaxy Note 20 series, the Galaxy Z Flip series, the Galaxy Z Fold series, Galaxy Tab S7+, multiple Galaxy A series phones, etc for HDR10 playback but they still haven't certified LG G8 series, V50 series, V60 series, Velvet series.
The best thing about the Stylo 6 is that if someone attacks you its long enough to swing it like a bat.

My system wont allow any updates. Im a bit pissed with this phone.

Just got mine yesterday. Jumped from 4 to 6. For me, there is some habits I have to break usage wise. The user interface is actually easy to use but differs from the 4. The only complaint wich is petite but some may agree that this phone is heavy, but it compensates with the construction and glossy appearance. I still place a full protection case around it and I encourage everyone to do that. Even though I have the insurance, I will do what it takes so I wont be inconvenienced, dealing with them for a new phone or repairs and the fact they act like they will replace your phone with a lesser model at times.

How i had the stylo 4. Ive dropped that phone in water ive dropped it on the ground Atleast 5 times. My screen never cracked. And it still works perfectly phone it still look brand new. But i upgraded to the 6 cause i just wanted to upgrade

I cracked mines earlier this yr. And as of today I'm over my stylo 4 and need to upgrade. I hate how it only has 32GB too not enough for me at all. Phone acting slow now due to low storage. This my first budget phone and that's the only thing i hate about it.

I completely shattered the screen on the Stylo 4 after having it for less than 2 months. In that time, my carrier started selling the Stylo 5 for about the same price I got the Stylo 4 at. Instead of replacing the screen, I just got the Stylo 5. I'm using it to write this comment. If you are someone that is currently using the Stylo 5 and thinking about upgrading to the Stylo 6, I'd honestly wait until the Stylo 7, if it will even be a thing, or upgrade to a higher end device. I'm perfectly happy using my Stylo 5 for another year. Just watching this to have a personal prediction of a possible Stylo 7.
The lg stylo 7 is coming out April 0f 2021. It's useing the snapdragon 730 processor and has a higher( 📷) camera for a similar price.

got one of these today from my dad, I must say Im happy it seems pretty nice so far! The speaker set up is especially interesting, i didnt know phones actually had those- it'll take getting use to XD
But the phone feels smooth and over all easy to manage, which i appreciate.
I love the brand LG. I had Motorola for a bit and it was aggravating to navigate on a less than par type phone. My husband was looking at LG for me and we came across this. I am happy about this. I am waiting for him to set up my new phone while I watch this review.
At first, I enjoyed having this phone and really like the look of it, however after using it for 3 months the phone started freezing up, so I'd have to power off the backlight and turn it back on just to unfreeze it, it was a very inconvenience at times. I do love the size and some of the built-in features, it does take a while to load.

Just got my LG stylo 6 and I love the screen size. For me the size is perfect and it feels even better with a slim case and screen glass protector. Definitely worth the money.

Switched to Stylo 6 from an LG G6. I haven't made up my mind yet about this one, except that it's huge and a bunch of the smart features are absent from it that I loved on my G6.
Lg has the best speakers.. I mess around with the eq and make it louder. Everyone is always telling at me to turn it down. My stylo 5 is at its max. It's wicked

I think my only dissapointment with this phone would be where the stylus is located. I had to go back to my stylo 3 and I love the pen being in the top. Lot less easy to lose or have it come out. Not too crazy about the pop out feature. I want it secure. My stylo 4 was a great phone but that was my issue was the stylus. Definetly think they neglected the whole aspect of it and the phone being named after it, really doesn't impress. They clearly need to go back and really help bring the technology around it and make it better. Thank you for your video. Has helped me make a pretty accurate decision.
I love that it's 6.8 bc all I do is CZcams video and watch videos, shows, tv and playing roblox with my daughter and I have the stylo 5 so I think imma going to like this stylo 6.

Exactly, and there's a variety of reasons to avoid a mediatek SOC. The GPU mediatek uses is powervr which had always been bad and there's apps like gcam that simply won't work

There is nothing at all wrong with the Mediatek SOC, it's more than powerful enough to run a smartphone.
I finally have the LG Sylo 6. It is a lot bigger than my previous phone. I really needed a new phone anyways. The LG Stylo 6 is the best phone ever!
I love this phone, what I don't love is the heavyness of it, after holding it for a while it becomes awfully uncomfortable in the hand, but even that is not a deal breaker.
I had a stylo 4 fall out of my pocket whilst riding on my man's motorcycle. It got ran over 6 different times bc it fell in our path. When we finally found it, it was a little bent and the display was slightly discolored. But it still worked as if it had no problem. LG is bomb af
I use the stylus a lot for drawing. I've gone through 3 of them so far; there's an attach point about an inch down from the top, right where pressure goes while holding it. It always snaps there.
Does it have pressures sensitivity?

If your phone is slow, go into developer settings and lower the animation scale. It ships with 1.5x speed, which is why it feels so wonky.
I have had my phone for two years it’s now falling apart and is useless. My phones screen is cracking off, shutting itself off, and glitching out apps. It was good phone until now, so if your like me and try to wait as long as possible until a new phone, two years is the limit
I just switched today from boost to metro..i got it for 75$..plus case and screen protecter...for 25$ so..100$ out the 🚪..its a pretty decent phone for an lg..i enjoy the video as well ....well done sir😜

@@ianwest1624 i appreciate the suggestion but no thanks. I prefer the stylo 6. Bigger screen, it has it's own dedicated google assistant button. Its chunkier and feels like a very solid phone in the hand. Plus, the Moto G Stylus Is way more expensive. The Stylo 6 Produces great photo and video in natural sunlight. Even though The Stylo 6 doesn't support 4k video recording, the quality is still pretty decent especially how much you are paying for the phone.

I'll stick with my Stylo 4 it's still going strong since I got it last year. One year after it came out which was back in 2018.
So it's been a year now, and I can report no real issues. It works as well as ever and I haven't had to do a reset or anything like that. The only problem is the reflective mirror finish on the screen, which the Stylo 3 also had, it makes it hard to see things sometimes. Beyond that it's been great. I'll probably keep this phone for as long as I did the 3!

The stylo 6 is now free with metro when you add a line or port over. You can basically get the phone activated and working on an unlimited plan for $80 out the door! They are waiving activation fees.
Thank you for this awesome video. I just about had given up on the stylo phones after the 4. The stylo 4 was by far the MOST frustrating smart phone I've had yet as it had a ton of annoying issues. It got so bad that eventually I just switched my number back to one of my older phones that I had saved up lol. Glad I skipped the 5 as there wasn't much of a difference. I may possibly give the 6 a chance. Either that or the k51 which I saw that video you did on that as well. Thanks for the awesome content. I just subbed earlier as well. Great work 👍

Coming from a Boost a10e. Got this phone free when I switched to Metro T-Mobile. Have no idea the experience of a Flagship phone, but this is exponentially better than what I'm used to! Had no idea, the point of the stylus. Til I researched. As an artistic person, and former mechanical draftsman, found the Autodesk SketchBook app! Can't wait to explore! Paid activation fee, first month payment, rugged case, and screen protector, $140, out the door! Thanks for the review! Can't wait to see someday, what an expensive phone is like!

The Stylo 6's display is very hard to see when outside and in sunlight.

@Bryson Aiken Me too! I could see the screen on previous Stylos. When I put the Stylo 6 on my dashboard, it's almost rendered useless to me because I cannot see it. 😣
Try putting your brightness to auto when you go outside. The peak screen brightness should increase a bit but don't expect flagship levels of brightness like the KING of IPS LCD screens known as the LG G7 ThinQ.

I had the stylo4 jun 2018, When my dad went into the hospital in mar 2019, having that stylus was a godsend, My style 4 had 2gig and 16 ram. I upgraded to the stylo 5 which had 3 gig ram and 32 gig storage. It isn't IMO that much better but I see the advantages

U can make the notch disappear, an also change the color of the topbar that hides the notch. Display settings.
I just bought this phone yesterday. Im satisfied. My only complaint so far is not really even a complaint. The phone navigation button(s) are reconfigurable (I like old school static navigation buttons) which was a pleasant surprise.

I jumped from a 3 to a 6 and its great! Now I am not one that uses my phone to the extreme. It makes calls, texts and lets me get on apps so it works for my purposes.
I've always been a fan of the LG stylo's line but i have to admit that their wasn't much of a difference between the stylo 4 and stylo 5 but i liked them they were good phones but i really like this one a lot, i've only heard good things about it compared to previous versions of the Stylo line

The last Stylo I had was the 3 and after a moto and a samsung I came back to LG when the K51 came out this year. I'm definitely considering getting the Stylo 6 some don't care for the thickness but that honestly ((Size wise)) my favorite thing about the phone. Looks like it'll make it easier to hold cause there is more phone to grip. And maybe I won't need a thicker phone case maybe just a slim rubber or plastic case, a good tempered glass screen protector, and a pop socket and I'm good 😁

I have 4 and 5 5 being my main phone i use my 4 for social apps and music to be honest the 4 is way better than 5 if you can get the 6 for 100 take the chance but i wouldnt pay more than 100 since 7 is right around the corner
Honestly I regret getting the stylo 6 for starters my finger print sensor just stopped working. And the battery life is horrible drains ridiculously fast. I think the stylo 5 was better. Plus the stylo 5 had a brighter screen longer battery life. I never had issues with the stylo 5 I only got the 6 because I dropped my old stylo 5. I had the stylo 6 not even for a month and the fingerprint sensor already failed.
I love your reviews. We're trying to decide on a replacement for a samsung J3 (gen3) which has 1.5GB/16GB and an SD card. She always is out of space.
Obviously, we can't get a decent phone like the J3 for $150 any more. We like the A51 and Pixel 4A better than the Stylo 6, but we'll have to spend $100-150 more to get one of those.

Just got my Stylo 6 yesterday and love it so far. I actually like the fact that it's extra heavy and feels like a brick in my hand. Feels like I actually got something that I paid for and I honestly got it completely free. actually I got two of them free from Metro just for switching From cricket. Very good deal in my opinion.

Thanks for the great review. I have been a loyal Stylo user since its inception. I've been looking for a new phone worth a better camera. I was considering the Google Pixel but then I looked at it at Best Buy. It has a good camera don't get me wrong but the color was just a little off. Then I saw the Motorola Stylus phone. It was pretty cool. The only that I have is the price. Paying$400 for just having a better is a hard pill to swallow. I'm curious to know what would be a better camera for not that more money. If LG was serious about the stylo they could legit kill the Galaxy Note, especially with the quite underwhelming releases lately
Nope. Not at all. At best, LG can become some tiny shred of a rival but not surpass the Note series at all. A headphone jack and Quad DAC is amazing on LG phones but LG is notorious with being very slow with Android updates especially on unlocked phones. My friend's LOCKED G7 on T-Mobile received Android 10 months ago and yet my Mom's unlocked G7 also on T-Mobile is still on Android 9.
Also, they no longer have 1440p flagship phones, no USB Power Delivery 3.0, and STILL NO UFS 3.0 storage.
Not even Netflix takes LG seriously. Only the LG G6 is certified for Dolby Vision Netflix but no other LG phone after that. Netflix already certified the Galaxy Note 20 series, the Galaxy Z Flip series, the Galaxy Z Fold series, Galaxy Tab S7+, multiple Galaxy A series phones, etc for HDR10 playback but they still haven't certified LG G8 series, V50 series, V60 series, Velvet series.
