Mateo, the character and the actor who plays the role, is superb. He is one of the few characters in the show who get to show different emotions and life and he does it very well.

Before Mateo I have never seen producers write an undocumented character with complexity. On top of that this is the first gay and undocumented person I have ever seen on tv. I have been waiting years to see this and it was done very well.

Thank you for all your work. I have a connection to the subject matter. That's about as far as I can say. I've been what I term an 'Invisible man' for 20 years. For 20 years my life has been on hold hoping one day to be able to afford to change my 'Situation' in this country. I have not worked for all this time but have been a house husband. I am depressed by my situation as a person, a man , a father and a husband. Living through the Trump years has been scary. I really hope and pray that Immigration gets less expensive. I'm nearly 60 and worry that I won't get a chance to amount to anything. Sorry for rambling. Thanks for being inspiring

I understand most of what you’re going through as I have been here 18 years. Idk if you knew but If you’re in CA you’re able to legally start a business (not sure of other states), I think this could help maybe find a passion. I can understand your frustration but never lose hope in yourself or that motivation to better yourself. Remember that you have a purpose 💕 wishing you the best
