I just finished unboxing, installing, and testing the Tesla Model 3 Weatherstripping product from Goloho. Full Disclosure - I received this product for free in exchange for doing this honest review.
    My conclusions are as follows:
    1. Based on sound meter testing on four different road surfaces and speeds, both before and after the installation, I measured little or no reduction in sound levels inside the car. This was measured carefully before and after the installation using the same equipment, roads, speeds, tire pressure, and even time of day.
    2. The more subtle difference is the sound pressure level inside the car after the weather stripping is installed. Even though the sound levels inside the car are the same, the weather stripping does seem to reduce high-frequency noise, which makes the car feel more quiet and secure.
    3. The sound of the doors closing is noticeably improved with the weather stripping. The car sounds much more solid when the door closes. More like a Mercedes.
    4. Another fantastic benefit is that the new weatherstripping will prevent dust, moisture, and dirt from getting into the door hinges and wiring channels.
Overall, I grade the product an A-, and I would recommend that every new Tesla be fitted with your product at the time of delivery. If you install this kit on day one, your door hinges and other interior parts of your Tesla will stay much cleaner, much longer.

Nice review neighbor, or former neighbor. I immediately recognized those first couple of turns, the roundabout and your freeway section.
The Model 3 in my garage was in Nevada until recently, and it lived a mile down a dusty road. A door seal kt would have been the right choice.
I've come to the conclusion that these kits will not reduce cabin noise significantly unless there is a defect in the factory seals. Door and floor panels, and all that glass are where 80% or more of the problem originates. At least that was my conclusion using a calibrated mic, good software and repeated runs, when I tried to improve cabin noise levels in my old Accura fastback. I did not buy the car because it was quiet, it was the engine and handling that I enjoyed. But to keep the weight down Honda skimped on sound deadening material and used the thinnest possible glass. Most cabin noise is in the lower frequencies tapering off in the mid range. Door seals unless defective make a minimal contribution to noise control.

Hey Fred! Agreed on all points. That little Model 3, which I still own, is the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Apart from 8 tires and 2 air filters, I haven't spent one penny on maintenance in nearly 100k miles. Road noise? Absolutely. Solvable? Not really. But that's perfectly fine with me :)

I fitted these and the car feels nicer to drive and is much quieter. For some reason the interior feels better while driving!

to get a accurate measurement is to de-couple the measuring device. the cell phone holder is a tuning fork of sorts. one awesome test to do would be run a full spectrum analyzer then you can see where the hump and dial in through adsorption a more effected solution if ya wanna got that far (it's a total pain in the drivers seat) if ya get my drift. love the coaster videos!

DOES NOT WORK THE WAY YOU DEMONSTRATED. Tried your way but when i looked forward with rear door open I saw an eighth inch gap. Same when i looked back with rear door shut and front door open. Eighth inch gap. I did this to fix the gap. Note on rear door that the horizontal width of the gap on the car side changes from about half inch at the side to five eighths at the bottom preventing the seal from filling the gap. I could see light coming through and no friction on a credit card pushed into the gap.
SOLUTION Install front door seal as low as you can go on the door so the flap hangs down to the absolute max. Now when the door is closed, the flap contacts the lower sill of the door and creates a near perfect seal. I put it on one door and then pulled it off when I saw it was not sealing. Same in every other video except an Asian guy w White M3. Rear door is tougher because you need to cut the seal where the gap widens so the lower part of the door has the flap on the seal hanging down to the max again.
WATER VENT holes - DO NOT NEED TO BE CUT!!!! Seal goes under the vent hole completely allowing water to run over the seal.
Would appreciate some feedback on this. BTW - car was much much quieter with seal making contact as I explained.

Hi will i forgot to tell you to have a look at a roller coaster we had here in the uk a good few years back ... it was so popular and i don’t know why they took it down .... its called (the bullet- at flamingo land)
Its powered by about 20 sets of 2 horizontal friction wheels ... they make it go so fast hehe !!

What noise measuring app did you use for the iphone?

How have these seals held up? Any coming away from the car or have you had to reattach any?

Hi there, It’s my first time getting a Tesla, i got the Model Y, first EV actually, I’m hearing some sound it’s as if it’s a car window left open, while the rest are closed, that annoying noise that has a pressure like quality to the ears. Is that what a wind noise is? Thanks.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Tesla ownership. As you're not fining out first hand, the fit and finish on these cars leaves *a lot* to be desired. The electronics and drivetrain are second to none, in my opinion. But the windows do leak air. The rear seats don't line up perfectly. The seat belt tensioners in the b-pillar of the Model 3 rattle, and so on. My suggestion is to ask the Tesla mobile service folks to come out and have a look. The guy who came to my place did some field fabrication to try and reduce the rattles. Eventually, you'll make peace with the quirks (design flaws). Hope this helps!

Will Pemble thanks. Yeah my rear bumper’s right side is sticking out quite abit and my right rear tailight is chipped. I got mobile service coming out 3 days from now though I got a tip from another youtuber that some rubber bolts in the back needs to be adjusted, so i did and it helped. I mean, whoever is doing QC on these cars need to do a better job. My old car is an X3, never had a problem as this, damn, even my old toyota was not like this...

      Hahaha!
Because it’s so freakin quiet, one finds oneself noticing the slightest noises. Internal combustion engines cover a multitude of acoustical sins!

As an audio engineer I can tell you that the 2 cent microphone used in the iPhone with an app is an awful way to measure. I've tested them against real measuring equipment. They are both inaccurate and inconsistent. This really should be measured in dB C weighted, not A weighted. Also worth noting that decibels are logarithmic, meaning that 3db difference is equal to double (or half) the sound energy. Also absolutely any air gaps left in isolation material installation will basically null the whole thing. Very precise installation is key. Think about when you have ear muffs pressed against your head VS slightly lifted. The difference is massive. You want a tight seal all the way round.

Lol, this is not a silent car at all. It's the worst in-class for noise.

dst rr lol but compared to any ice car it is silent. Oh it also wipes any ice car off the road for speed and excitement.

@@Ifyoudonttakeitucantfakeit Ok, I am sure you have not driven a comparable modern Audi or BMW. They are far quieter, even with the engine.
