Minus the piston/trident grinder this farm works brilliantly in my flat world survival. Mobs always spawning, chests filling nicely. Great fun build. Thanks 👍🏻

Please help. I’ve followed every step. Firstly I built too low I think so I knocked all down and rebuilt at a higher level and nothing still seems to work - I built this in creative (1 layer and it works) but in survival it’s a no go. What’s going wrong. Any suggestions.

I made one similar to this, works great. Triple the loot from what a 1 single unit of the 4 shown produces. Plus the xp is very good also.

Another thing I would recommend is spawn proof the caves and ground so that there are higher spawn rates
From my testing. 4 chunck simulation spawns mobs 64 blocks away from player (the player is the center) in every direction. Up, down, left, right. Its best to build this 64 blocks tall from highest poing where youre building. Would be best on an ocean.
I built something similar to this in my world, then on top of that one i build a drowned farm, then a squid farm, and then at the bottom a iron farm. My nase pretty much a tower that generates loot of all those mobs as long as within the simulation distances.
can u share where did u get all of your farm templates from? maybe their youtuber name?

Haakonplayer for squid farm, goldenhelmet for drowned farm, prowl for iron farm (did alot of extra research to understand how iron spawning works to make that farm work in my base thought), and wattles for mob farm. I adjusted them to fit my tower base design.
None of them really explained how far from player in blocks mobs render or spawn, took some research to fully understand. But once you do you can build any mob farm anywhere. Especially 1 tower that holds many farms, as you'll know where to stand so all of them work at max efficiency.
Then most valuable thing to know, is how to link portals and this was by far the best explanation to understand how to do it.
Wattles and eyecraftmc have good explanations for Nether portal Nether road connecting info thought.

@@javiervasquez29 I wanna build an iron farm underneath this mob farm. The iron farm I would like to run when I'm both on the afk platform and inside my base. Do you know if the 64 block thing is like a box? To try to explain what I mean with me as the start point like you said would 64 blocks horizontally then from that point 64 blocks vertically still spawn mobs?

Update: Im getting the drops but no xp
Update to the update: I wasnt close enough to the piston so all the xp was just sitting there. So all in all. This farm is great
For efficiency and rates, this is pretty good, but far from the easiest or best design for early game, but decent design.
It's not but I did it anyways😂 Im not trying to beat the game right away anyways. I have 4 spawner farms. 1 zombie 1 spider. 1 skeleton and 1 with that other skeleton that stands on the snow.
This farm basically gives me everything inbetween and a little bit more.

I built this exact farm higher at 160 over water and it’s roughly 100 from the ground level. And I’ve sat here for 10 minutes without a single drop. Not sure what’s wrong if anyone has any ideas
I built 2. Both at 128. Filled the bins on the first one so i wanted to add this build to my other world. Now it doesnt work anymore on either world. Whats fucked is my minecraft phone isnt connected to wifi right now so its not an update. Idk wtf is up. I got one creeper in an hour.

Mine hasn't produced any mobs besides a few pillagers and then a creeper but I've been sitting here for 10 minutes with nothing. Any tips? This is the second mob farm I've built and neither are producing

I did a double take at the 2,700 building blocks 😂 It's a good thing I have to go mining again soon and always end up with minecarts full of materials afterwards.
took me two hours to build. Skeletons can shoot you if the trident killer malfunctions for some reason, and creepers can explode as well. It's also painfully slow. :(

@DubYuhGChoppa Yes. I've done that for hours. I also have chests upon chests of blocks. My comment doesn't imply I don't have the resources to do it or that it's a hard task of acquiring them.

I used carpet instead of buttons because of the updates and a ton of people have been saying buttons don't work to stop spiders from spawning anymore. It still gives me spiders even with carpets. Is it working for anyone else with buttons or something else? How can I spider-proof this farm?
they fixed buttons. buttons now stop spider spawns again

Does it need to be in the sky? Could it work just as well in a pit?
On bedrock, It has to be in the sky because the higher you are in the chunk, the more mobs will spawn in the farm.(Aka in that chunk) The lower you are, the fewer mobs will spawn, and all the caves within a 50-block radius will have to be filled in for you to get the same results.
At least this is what it is for me.

the trident doesn't loose durability. it only looses one durability the first time you throw it but it wont loose any durability once in the farm

@@NuthinButtGaming nah, my mistake was I built it over a river and not an ocean. Rebuilt it but it was a bit slow, so I added 4 more layers with netheack coz it’s easier to mine and it’s decent

If you want my honest opinion this should've been 100 blocks high. I did mine 128. I have a shit ton of stuff like it's crazy. I heard him say 44 and I knew that would be a problem.

@@Nobody04200 make sure youre 100 blocks from anything and you have it where it only loads 4chuncks. I got like 320 tnt worth of gun powder in like 6-8 hours

Does this have better rates than a mob spawner?
I'm new to the whole farming aspect I don't wanna give false info but in my opinion loot wise yes because you get such a variety not just one set. Exp I'm not an expert but it seems to be doing just fine. I'm running it tonight for the first time. I made a few tweaks with trapdoors instead of slabs for collecting exp. I stand 1/2 block from the trap doors and the exp goes right through better. Slabs I had to move to get the exp.

My xp sits in the middle of the kill chamber and I have to break the piston to walk in and get it. Anyone know how to fix that?
