If your farm doesn't work you might've build it on chunk borders, in that case you will have to replace the farm a couple blocks further.

What are the seeds?
I fixed this by digging a deep hole under the sticky pistons and placing torches at the bottom of the hole. I tested it a few times by exiting and re-entering the game, and the farm doesn't seem to be broken.
I made it in 1.20, its not working. i tried all...
Was afk at the farm, came back and both kelp was missing. Replaced the kelp, turned it on and both kelp broke instantly again. Fixed it by breaking the hoppers and composters at the front, and the two sand in front of the sticky pistons was missing, so I replaced sand, put composters and hoppers back and works fine again

Fun fact: you can make sugarcane farm also just use sugarcane instead of bamboo and place water at the side block😊
small tip: replace the glass in front of kelp with lightning rods since copper is so common, you can even enter to fix things more easily between them.

It is more efficient when you place sugarcane in place of bamboo
You can trade paper with librarian
not really efficient since bamboo grow faster than sugar cane
There's no real difference when you remember the fact that its being bonemealed
I get what you're saying since 3 sugarcane gives 3 paper while 2 bamboo gives 1 stick and takes 9 bamboo to make a block of bamboo which then turns into 2 planks and gives 4 sticks while cutting down a few trees will do a little more in the same time it takes to build this and let it run for a little bit but after that it becomes faster to just afk instead of cutting down trees especially if you have more than 1 of these farm
The bamboo part is for some reason different in bedrock, we can just turn 2 bamboo's into sticks

I have recently found that turning the bamboo shoots directly into sticks is more efficient than turning them into planks then into sticks. It's a slower method, but more efficient.

I mean its a little misleading to put oak logs and emeralds in the thumbnail, say it's an afk emerald farm when you are actually farming bamboo which you can then manually turn into sticks and then trade for emeralds lol. Why not just say it's a bamboo farm? Less clicks I guess.
with the upcoming crafters in 1.21 you can make it auto craft sticks so it would be auto and afk just not yet

Is it easier to make the bamboo into planks and then sticks, rather than just 2 bamboo into 1 stick? Also, with the new update, you can use an autocrafter to turn the bamboo into sticks, to automate a stick farm
if you are thinking it works and it sure and you can increase sticky piston for more out put I increase and mine working fine

Thank you, its work so well in my minecraft mobile. But i modified a little bit, instead of using bamboo I'm using sugar cane and place a block of water beside, and it still works.

This works magically, no sand falling down and no kelp broken !
Be sure to turn off farm when leaving the chunks, Cuz if you leave the area, it will break the farm
Also make sure to build it under a single chunk !
Its so important that i discovered it when i firstly made it in two chunks, it broke !
So be sure to build it in a chunk, you can find it easily on yt

My kelp is not growing, do u know the reason for that?
@@dipakasare5203 likely the border chunk, if not then its the redstone, my kelp farm was too far to the right and it ruined it. (it was only one block to far)

Hi OinkOink, I thought this kelp glitch patched in 1.17.30.
And can I use this glitch as an xp source?
It is not patched but the mechanics changed. This is not a good xp farm but you get xp when trading with the villager

OK so, It all seems to work but the hoppers aren't collecting the kelp. They will pick up some but there's stacks of kelp not getting collected. I've rest the sand and water but still have the same issue. Anyone with any solves?

Hello ^^ Great farm, great tutorial. Does it work after 1.21? I changed bamboo to sugarcane and it worked fine in 1.20 but the dispenser wont dispense bonemeal after 1.21. Is it the update or is the machine screwed on my end? Would love it if anyone can clarify this T_T Thanks a bunch!

i've just completed building this but unfortunately from the moment i switch it on the sand instantly breaks i've followed every step possible too so im unsure on why its breaking

I figured out that it because the build has to be inside of one single chunk. If your on Bedrock then here’s how to find a chunk border.
Step 1. Find a set of X and Z coordinates that are divisible by 16 (that means when you divide it by 16 it doesn’t have a decimal) and place a block there.
Example: (-1376, 144)
1376/16=86✅
144/16=9✅
Non examples: (-774, 189)
774/16=48.375❌
189/16=11.8125❌
Step 2. Find which direction makes the X coordinate go up and place 15 blocks that direction.
Step 3. Do the same as step 2 but with the Z coordinate.
Step 4. Your have created and outline of a chunk and you can build in there.
I had the same issue so I added sand underneath the sand on the bottom where the sticky piston is not extended... Sand & kelp is still there but trying to figure how his kelp is growing so fast?¿?🤷🤦

It's too slow, I need more wood. Is there any way to make some improvements to increase the efficiency of this farm?
I extended the working area (the kelp and piston part) from 2 blocks to 12 blocks, and now its efficiency largely increased! But 12 blocks is already the limit because the redstone signal won't reach any further. It should be possible to create multiple parallel bone meal farms. I'll try it.
I'm not sure if building multiple parallel AFK bone meal farms can surpass the efficiency of a skeleton farm. Anyone know about it?
