- Hey guys JWhisp here and welcome to another video. Today I show you 4 easy, must have beginner survival farms in Minecraft or Minecraft hardcore. Cow farm, Afk Automatic iron farm, Sugar cane farm, and a Piglin Xp experience Farm!

You can also leash the boat too :3 I think only bedrock tho with the sugar cane farm u could increase the drops by having a automatic redstone chain that connects dispensers with bonemeal in
It doesn’t work in bedrock so you can’t use leads on boats

For the gold farm, you could also just dig the pit deeper so the mobs are 1 hit kill. Still slow but it beats going through swords if you don’t have mending

A couple tips:
for the final xp farm: those netherack that the Pigmen fall onto, replace it with hoppers and then chests so you get all the loot without moving, it’s a bit lazier and a little more expensive but makes this a little easier
For the iron golem farm, make a storage system, to fit his with the chest you placed, make it a double, add a hopper underneath the floating part of the chest, add a double chest to the hopper (break the hopper and place it again connecting to your new one) and sort of go in a S formation with chests and hoppers, you can look it up for reference or someone else can explain it better

Jwhisp you should do this for bedrock too as not every thing is the same. But the first three work.
Instead of red stone behind the observers and solid blocks behind the pistons, do the opposite. This will cause each observer to only trigger the piston that is below it.

@@sdaniaal I haven't tested it in 1.20. Put a row of solid blocks behind the observers and put a row of red stone behind the pistons (below the blocks behind the observers). The blocks behind the observers must be solid (not glass, stairs, leaves, etc).
Tested on Java 1.20. and it works. 1 observer activates only 1 piston.
Lvl. 3. [WoodBlock] [Observer] -->
Lvl. 2. [SPACE] [Piston]
Lvl. 1. [WoodBlkWithRedStnDust] [WoodBlock]
The point is You need to make a Space between upper and lower WoodBlocks.
(So that it is only vertically connected , in-game).

Also someone mentioned making the hole 20 blocks deep = close to death 1 heart health less swings and save on sword durability.

for sword durability, you can use the gold swords dropped and combine them so that u dont waste your main swords durability
Cheers for these. I prefer one observer linked to all the pistons so that there is 3 high sugarcane on most stacks before it activates. Or in supersized ones an observer every 8 pistons.
i used a diff type of cow farm that is more expensive and you need atleast 4 cows and then u gotta breed for a few days but it cooks for you

So setting a hopper next to a chest or on top of a chest makes it so it automatically puts it into the chest? im new to minecraft
Is there a list of what each item does somewhere? Items dont have tooltips in game. Which for me is weird
Yeah, like someone else said, I'm having trouble placing the water underneath the cows on the cow farm, I can't get the game to recognize the hopper or the bottom layer blocks to place it. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? @JWhisp
I had trouble too but you can mine it from the bottom of it to the side and I got the water on top of the hopper. However For some reason tho the cows don’t have enough room to mate. I made it exactly like the vid too
@@issarey108 Are you on bedrock bc on bedrock there is a glitch where animals won't mate if near a wall.

Thanks for this tutorial! I made the iron farm and it worked right away. Was super easy to build too. I added a zombie because I got one that picked up an item. Will that increase the iron golem drop rates? Or would it mess up the farm?

you can use pistons / switches to make boats go up blocks too
I wonder if a similar farm for enderman can be made in the end or nether exploiting their 3 block height. Though they don't all aggro on you at once like the pigmen. Only the ones you look at.
I tried something like that forever ago, my problem was getting the endermen to stop porting out, if you know something new I'm all eyes... But to my knowledge the simple 3x3 that's a third high is the best way to farm them. They burn by water so can't push them with that,

I’ve created the iron farm and for the most part it’s working great! But all of a sudden the iron golem is starting to spawn outside the farm any ideas on how to fix this? Also can I make a platform up there without having the iron golem spawn out of it? I’m playing on Java
use a shovel and right click grass/dirt to make path, they cant spawn on path do like a 20 block circle around the farm

man the 1st on was so frustrating but if make it it's gone soooooo good
easier way i accidentally figured out how to get the villagers up the steps into the farm:
put ‘em in a boat and then leashes them, when you go up the steps the boat will bounce up with you, just gotta be careful because it’s not always straight and i lost 2 villages due to hanging them in a wall lol but it is very effective.
my Realm Owner made the world peaceful, so I’m not sure if this works on Bedrock. are you able to confirm ?

The xb farm can be gold farm too by placing a hopper on the 3x3 and a carpets on top of the hopper’s
And a chest under, but it will not be the fastest tho
I made one of these but nothing went into the hopper. It all looked correctly placed so I never figured out why it didn’t work.

One of the villagers don't want to go to sleep. The horizontal bed under the three beds. Should I kill it? Or it is a problem of the setup
It does, it just takes longer cause it's under a block
A villager keeps getting out. The golems keep spawning below the farm.

Place an extra layer of building blocks to be 3 blocks up & then place the water in before you put in the cows, lead the cows back in and you’ll be fine

What about ghasts attacking you at the nether farm?
The villagers can’t get to sleep because they keep getting stuck behind one another. The 3 beds at the back 3 villagers can get to sleep there but there the other villagers get stuck behind them ones leading to them not moving to there bed, I don’t understand how to fix this can someone help or respond

With 1.20 does this iron golem farm work? I just created it with my villagers. I placed two villagers, they breeded 4 very quickly. But aftsr two days no iron golem. What do i do?

You need turn the dirt around the farm to road .... iron golems cant spawn on roads
im trying to start a life in the nether . i needed that last one
tysm! been looking for easier farms since i get frustrated and mess up more complicated ones. theyre also easier to cover&decorate to blend in.

In order to get villager to spawn iron golems they need to be spooked by a zombie. Tutorials with zombies in the farm are not reliable. I would recommend those over the one built in this video :)
@@allenzheng9894 mate I literally just built more leaves round this structure and they started spawning in the villager chamber but I put leaves in there aswell now this works perfectly I got 2 double chest full in 8 hours of afk this works amazingly now you just need to troubleshoot it yourself 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Quick tip: on the area where the piglins lands, it's better to use hoppers with one hopper connected to a chest just so your inventory won't suffer.
So im having problems with the iron farm, i cant get any golems to spawn, i noticed one of the villagers was getting stuck in the corner by the sleeping ones and wasnt able to move to the available bed, would that be the issue? I also have the stair case i built for the villages to get into the glass chambe, kept the stairs to access the chest..
I am on console of that matters also

I am a newbie playing Minecraft blind without guide for the first time, not finding any iron for 30 days, and that is skill issue...Stranded on an island without sustainable food source, no animals, no trees, got raided by Enderman by Day 1, no coal...I can't unlock recipes and I can't craft basic items till days later.
There is no skill issue when you are a complete newb with zero game knowledge and zero control mastery. Yeah, I was bad then since I was completely new, I found ores later. You are bad from the core and there is no salvation for you. And now, I will never come back to this channel.

The cow crusher works best on Bedrock if you use a slab for one of the top blocks, otherwise it's nearly impossible to not only add the water properly resulting in your cows drowning, but also to feed//mate them.

@@johnbosstick3689 I built my in the ground rather than above. If you're having this issue, I would suggest either building it below ground as I did, or adding surrounding blocks to prevent this.
I managed to get it it set up the same way on ps4 took me ab 2 hrs 😂😂😅
See, I'm on Java and I broke the first layer you'll place around the hopper and then added the water since it was a bit hard to add water! I had the same issue and drowned my cows, hope this helped!
