@@carlmcgrath484 calm down carl. going out just ONCE per week would cost £2.6m over the year. i'm certain they're not that stup1d, nor would they be dragons for very long.
People don’t stay rich by dropping 50 bags, that’s how you end up a guy that made millions and is filing for bankruptcy
Think Steven is a very good fit with the dragons. He's also clear, concise, and articulate when he speaks. Good to see a bright young mind on the team. 👍
I'd beg to differ 😂
He is a pathetic man trying to virtue signal to everyone how "Angelic" he is . Type that stands in front of the mirror and blows his bubbles
The cheese business isn't doing too well and I think Steven is just podcasting now
steven's offer made me think about all the unessasery equity given away all those times

It’s hilarious to see them come in asking for 50k for 3% and then one dragon says, “I’ll offer half the money for 20% if you can convince another dragon” like what?? Maybe convince them why they want to give away 15x more than they planned

View it from a business perspective: A company dinner will likely cost more than 2k
That's not a night out... that's my monthly salary.
£2k EBITDA is nowhere near gouda enough, they need to do feta than that

I would have laughed at Peter Jones comment that 2k is not profit, it is a night out but actually, have you seen the prices lately, everything is so high. I dont think 2k would do it
I think this has to be my favourite blend of dragons. The right amount of wit, cheek, support and chance.
Do you reckon Steven had to challenge Tej to a duel over that chair? Quite a peaceful takeover

It doesn't show in the edit of the show, but during this pitch everyone in the Den were interrupted by a sudden loud crash which came from the ground floor of the warehouse. Filming stopped and all of a sudden the lift doors opened to reveal Evan Davis stood covered in jam and giggling hysterically. "Sorry Dragons", he laughed, "couldn't help myself again, it gets so boring down there when you're all up here talking for ages". Touker picked up his spoon and sighed. "Okay Evan", he said. "I'll indulge in your game this time but this really needs to stop".

They asked for 150,000 but the narrator at the end says 85,000. Interesting

I spotted this too, the narrator also got it wrong at the end. Can’t believe no one picked up on this.
Peter looks like he just had a 2000 pound night out
Hahahahaahhahaha
I don't really get this... What happens when you have tried all the British Made cheeses? Like there will be a saturation point and then it's repetition. Eventually you will just buy the cheese you like most in the supermarket or contact the dairy farm itself. And if it creates a profile according to what you like won't it end up repeating the same box with few cheeses you really like on and on again?
Really good point actually
Well Stephen said it, he’s an investor in that wine company with a similar subscription model and I can imagine them diversifying in future to combat that issue you have raised and maybe start doing subscriptions that pair wines and cheese’s together. Lots of options they can explore
most cheese these guys sell aren't available in supermarkets (who predominantly stock cheese from large volume producers ) - some good cheeses are available from deli's but not everyone who likes specialty cheeses has a deli nearby.
Supermarket cheese is disgusting in comparison to artisan cheese. The only good cheese at supermarket is cheddar cheeses.
4:35 Why is the music so loud lmfaooo

Pretty bad negotiations from Steven. The other 2 were at 15% !! He his offer was already half of the others. Definitely could have stuck to 7.5

finance bro forgot that if one drinks oat milk, it might be unlikely that they will eat cheese. yeah sure there's more supply, but that's also less demand 😂
Exactly what I was thinking😂
Debbie: I'm plant based, is your cheese plant based?
Entrepreneurs: Nah it's got dairy in it.
Debbie: (between mouthfuls) mmm tastes great, I'm still plant based right?
the whole "plant based" industry is a total scam from both ecological and nutritional (human health) perspectives.
plant based means mostly consuming plants in your diet. People who are plant based might occasionally eat meat too.
@@mahuuasharma9876 it can also mean solely. I'd assumed in this context that's what it meant, otherwise I'm not sure why she asked if it was dairy free.
@@mahuuasharma9876 that’s just not true at all. Your either plant based or your not 🤷♀️
@@lynnwiltshire6220 I think you're getting confused with veganism. You can either be vegan or non-vegan. It is a philosophical/ ethical standpoint.
According to Columbia tho 'A plant-based diet is not a vegetarian or vegan diet; you can eat poultry, beef, eggs, fish, and dairy products, however most of your nutrient intake is coming from plant-based food sources.'
Old Amsterdam, typical British cheese :)
Not only that, it's not even a matured cheese.
Touker is so supportive. It seems like they hate each other now 🤣
"2k? That's a night out!" Oh how the other half live eh?
His percentage has grown too 😅
I think the investor can do really well for them in the cheese business, and at a nominal cost. They will be able to say "Oh, what a friend we have in cheeses."
Wow, even worse than an Evan Davis "pun". Hang your head in shame.🙄
This was a bad pun. And for that reason, I'm out.
Their slogan should be "Cheeses saves!"
That was super cheesy 😂
Once again, tell whoever is doing the audio balance for these episodes to sort their hearing out. Music is booming loud and narration dialogue is almost a whisper in comparison.

The main reason this went so well is Brexit and cheese imports implications

I'm confused - did they get £150k or £85k ?
does he say hear about the taiwanwese at the french cheese factory?
Bring Levi in to make a Reggae Reggae cheese for their collection.
What made me laugh was when they said it can be a world wide business... There are many countries that will not allow importation of dairy products, whether processed or not .🤣🤣🤣
i think they meant the model of app subscription based cheese. They could set that up in other countries and source local cheese there.
It's only 85,000 invested for a while.
What happened to PAXTONS in London? Great cheesemongers
What is it with these food/drink subscriptions?!!
British sausages, bacon, and cheese, ploughman's lunch, Sunday roast, well what more can be said? I forgot to mention a real life British hub of nearly two decades. Oh what a life 😊.
They bossed this pitch
Why are they social distancing when this series started in Jan this year?

Just amazingly different from Shark Tank
Their balance sheets don't look like they forecasted that's for sure.
Just import Swiss cheese.
Transport isn’t that far.
You’ll find lots only pasture fed.
(Here actually I might add: even if a farmer has his cows outside in nature on the pasture and all that - he might still additionally feed “power food” like two times a day. They do that serially. Power food is not always carcass meal, but corn and other sugars are also very, very bad to feed to cows. And they get impregnated, boys slaughtered and everything else Deborah rightfully doesn’t like surrounding the production of dairy produce.
IF YOU STILL HAVE A MINUTE:
There’s a harrowing and gruesome statistic I found on Wikipedia recently, “the changing distribution of our world’s land mammals, that of all the biomass of land mammals on planet earth, is 63% live stock (animals, who are bred for humans and pets or other live stock to eat their body parts), 35% humans (billions and billions and still counting) - wildlife is 2% of the biomass of all land mammals on our planet.

someone please set me straight -deborah said shes plant based but eats cheese -what am i missing ? plant based is vegan no ?
Plant based is consuming mostly or entirely plant-based foods. Plant based diets can have a little dairy and meat in them
Vegan is where the person doesn't eat any animal produce I.e. meat, milk, eggs
Vegetarian is where no meat is involved. Vegetarians can eat eggs, cheese and have milk
I hope that clears it up for you!

Hi. Cheese often contains an enzyme derived from the stomach lining of calves. The source is not alive. Don't know that would make cheese vegetarian or vegan.
