I’m so glad to find this vid with friendly faces when I am being intimidated by the overseas market and shipping!
Yay! Hey friend! So glad we could help you feel more secure. We are here for you if you need help. Always! We hope you are well.
Thank you for walking me through this.
Any time
Thank you for that new info for me!
You bet!
Thank you and good job. remind me of a teacher in junior college business courses
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the info. Would have been easier to take notes on the specific things to click on instead of "selling" the sellers on international shipping. I always use "free shipping" in my listings and I block anything out of the United States. Two questions: If I use your new program to ship to the international hub located in the US, will I be charged the international rate from the US to whatever country since in the body of my listing I use the phrase "free shipping" and if I unblock the currently blocked countries, will I be guaranteed that it will only go through the EBay international hub?
Hello! Thank you for watching our video :) When you use this eBay program you are only responsible for shipping the item to a US destination (currently in Illinois but they are creating other hubs as well). The buyer pays the rest to eBay and they take care of it from their. Using the words Free Shipping in your listing may be confusing to international buyers as they are still paying ebay for the international part. Maybe say Free Domestic Shipping?? While we cannot see all of your ebay business policies we believe that unblocking those countries should open you up to the ebay international program. We hope these answers help. We had multiple international sales over the weekend and its as easy as shipping to illinois :)
I heard you can now combine shipping for this program also, have you done this and had any issues?
Yes, you can combine shipping now, we haven't done one yet, but members of the Consignment Chats Community have done it and it has great reviews!
This is helpful for people using Business Policies, but what about people not using Business Policies?
We all use and recommend business policies. They are fairly easy to set up and give you the best results overall. ~Samantha
I'm a little confused about business policies - why leave the setting at "no international sales" - is that so that the purchase will automatically go to a hub? Also, what about the "exclude shipping locations" check box ... leave that checkmark on, or take it off? Thank you!
Hello! The way eBay set this up is a bit confusing and you're not alone with your questions. By selecting "no international sales" it defaults to the hub and eBay's international shipping program. That is what you want and what we use for our businesses.
If you select anything else in this box you are responsible for the whole international shipping process.
The "exclude shipping locations" box should be left unchecked. eBay will handle where each item can be shipped so you don't have to keep track of that. If knives cant go to France, they automatically don't show that category to their French customers. It so easy!
Let us know if you have any other questions either here or in our facebook community.
~Samantha
why i set international shipping on listing didnt appear in draft. it only show local price shipping
Hello, You can double check this by viewing your item on ebay, scroll down to shipping, it should list the countries your item is available in. ~Samantha
I am a buyer. My prospective business seller says he offers international shipping, but I can't get it by typing in a far off zip code, as I am looking to ship internationally, and there is no option.
It may must have something to do with the seller and how they set up their International Shipping. We hope you find a solution for the problem. Thank you for watching!
I opted in the program. Why do international buyers still ask for quotes.
Hi Tbone, I'm German and speechless that it is that easy in the US. We have to set up charts and - only for Europe - there are 5 different zones and inside each zone, you need to check on the size (5) or the weight of your parcel. And then there is the rest of the world. Or you choose another shipping service provider which is more expensive but not less difficult. It is a nightmare and as a private seller, I'm working hard on that. It's a pity that ConsignmentChats couldn't help. Maybe ebay has a program for professionals, but not for private, small sellers. So please be patient with those stupid-looking people from abroad 😉maybe as buyers they have no clue how it works.
Yes, it is definitely easy in the US, and sometimes we take that for granted! I love your advice to be patient with international buyers, because we do not see what you do as a buyer. Thank you for sharing.
And you don’t specify if the product is already set up with international shipping or if it’s listed not under international shipping, wasn’t clear in the opening explaining exactly what you were doing , you just went straight to shipping policy and i the mobile version doesn’t give you the same option
www.ebay.com/ship/prf under your shipping preferences on the phone or computer in a phone browser (not in the ebay app). Hope this helps!
This definitely did not help me , maybe I can’t see what you on the phone
www.ebay.com/ship/prf under your shipping preferences on the phone or computer in a phone browser (not in the ebay app). Hope this helps!
Yea this was definitely not helpful at all tried on my laptop and still I don’t see what you see , next time please walk us through step by step, instead of going straight to what you’re talking about because you have people who aren’t ebay savy and know all the moves and tricks because on my end I don’t see a listing section just a selling section and when you click on that I still don’t see what you see ,
Thank you for the feedback, you should be able to see it here: www.ebay.com/ship/prf under your shipping preferences on the phone or computer in a browser (not in the ebay app). We will also put this in the CZcams Show Notes.
