This is such a great story.
The message about the accidental Thanksgiving invitation was exceptional. It made everyone in the room feel good here. All of the media spends so much time focusing on negative news no wonder our country is depressed and overwhelmed. And now it is 24 hours!!!! Just because people have a fascination with bad things doesn't mean it is right or the only way. What would happen if the bulk of the news was uplifting news stories of the good things that happen. Aren't they important too? Why do we think only negative news is so important? I believe it would help refocus our society to be more positive.
Trinity Church Mercer, can surely relate to your feelings... at some pt. a few mos. ago I decided to do a search on positive news sites, chose dailygood.org & signed up on their email list... now I get at least one uplifting free message in my inbox each a.m. to help start my day off on a positive note, no matter how bad the rest of the news for that day is. :)

Now why can’t we all set together over a meal with laughter and a fellowship?. Why must we always find the negative in each other instead of the positive?. Why must we see differences instead of common ground or at least a middle ground?. At the end of the day we all enter and exit this world regardless of social standing or wealth. Please remember it takes far more effort to hold grudges and arbor resentment towards our fellow man than to give a simple smile or a kind gesture towards someone. You never know that simple smile and warm welcome to that stranger just might help them that day. Anyway I hope and pray for a kinder world. I wish anyone reading this a wonderful day or night.
