    Funnily enough, just recently I was thinking that there's no sub-5 Nm DD yet. This makes me wonder if we might soon get to the point that the market becomes DD only, even for entry level wheels.

      Perhaps, but Thrustmaster did come to market with the T128 at half the price of the R3. That’s a pretty significant price gap. I don’t know for sure, but I wonder if there is a “floor” to the pricing of the direct drive wheel.

    Glad you got the issue sorted out - I do hope you try the R12/Xbox wheel on the console to see if it works! This release certainly raises hope!

    @SRS13Rastus Před 9 měsíci +3

    I'm impressed! Already got the 8nm CSL DD myself but I KNOW this'll allow a LOT more people get into the direct drive eco-space.
    This and the CSL price drop is gonna be the death knell of the milking Logitech has undesrtaken by just updating the case of their almost 20 year old G series geared wheels.
    Probably even Thrustmaster with their T series belt driven wheels.
    IIRC the T300 was about 3.7-3.9nm peak and the T500 is 4-4.5nm.
    Having hall effect sensors in even the dual pedal set will also eliminate the issues of both the G and T series suffered (particularly dust & dirt gumming the gears and the pots wearing out over time).
    If I was still on my T300RS I'd DEFINITELY be interested in this wheelbase, particularly for the adaptability of the software letting you set specific curves for pedal application.
    That last is making me SERIOUSLY consider getting either the R9 or R12 and pedal set (and the better QR they offer might just seal the deal).

      @jcchaconjr Před 9 měsíci +1

      Totally agree - I would give Logitech some praise for finally offering a wheel more in line with what the rest of the market is doing, but not at the price they are trying to sell that one at at. The Logitech G Pro Wheel and Pedals are definitely not worth $1,350, compared to what's out there.

    Moza sold me on this with the price (not as low as I was expecting, but for $570 CAD shipped to my door, that's even better than the Cammus C5).
    I'm currently on a TMX (about 2.5Nm) and I don't have the money for the R5 bundle or CSL DD and want first-party console compatibility (not with a third party adapter). The 3.9Nm of torque doesn't worry me. The TMX is already a handful turned right up, so I don't want to jump too high and not need it.

      @Aphorism89 Před 4 měsíci

      @@THESHADOW97139 You could potentially keep saving longer and longer and get a 2K dollars one. Honestly, there is no difference between a Moza R3 and the R19 because of one big details:
      No matter how much better the wheel gets, it wont give you the 70% of the missing feedback from actual g forces, vibrations, sounds, etc which you get racing.
      To be honest, an R5 or even R3 are more than enough to get an outstanding racing SIM if it is combined with a good monitor and great audio + ideally a good sitting position.
      Anything above those (in terms of money) is really a big waste. And I know what I am saying, I am well aware that many sim enthusiasts would eat me for this, but it is the cold truth. Proof? you have people on a G29 who blow the water out of someone on the most expensive physical rig which simulates body moves and all that.
      End of the day, Skill > money spent. So I´d say... get a decent R3 or R5 (or similar).. that´s already a good chunk of money for a game wheel... and simply get on with it :)

    The only problem I have with all these new "entry level" DD wheels/bundles (like this one or the Cammus C5) is that there's no way the prices are going to be that good in my country (Spain). Just the ludicrous $/€ conversions that we usually suffer will make them a lot more expensive, but the fact that a g29/g920 brand new can't usually be found for less than 300/350€ makes me think that we couldn't get one of this R3 for less than 500. This feels like a def option but not game-changing like the csl dd was. It also seems toy-like to me. Also, they have yet to go after the PS market.

      Found the Fanaboy.
      Fanatec is on the back foot now. They don't have an entry level DD wheel anymore. Cheapest option right now for Xbox compatibility is $480 USD and that's not including shipping.
      Lots of North American Moza distributors offer free shipping.

      @@soca268they are merely waiting for Sony to give them the chips to put in their bases.

    xbox compatibility is pointless since all xbox racing games are on PC... I would buy MOZA instantly if it got PS5 compatibility or let say PS5 rim

    I know technically the motor on something like the T500rs (what I use) is stronger. But with the belts, I imagine it loses some strength along with fidelity. So I did want to ask, how does this feel compared to a t500/t300 set up? Does it feel comparable strength? Does it feel more detailed?
    I'd probably skip this one and go for. A r9 or r12 myself, but am curious

      Defo go for R9/12, i've used T500 & TS-PC before I switched to alpha mini DD (10nm), moza was my other go to option. Bit more detailed due to a faster+crisper delivery of those details/forces. I'm lovin it
