Good to see Logitech back in the game, It has been long coming. try activating contact shadows in the ACC options. The cars look more connected to the road
Glad someone mentioned this, I was wondering why they were all floating!
They back in the game but their public price doesn't seem not.
On more than one occasion in this video, it is clear that the car(s) ahead of you aren’t making contact with the track at all. They are floating. I cannot unsee it.
I’m running a floating car mod for ACC. It fuses racing sims and flight sims!

It's just the shadows doing weird things, the cars aren't floating
Unfortunately, floating cars are very much a common occurence in Sim Racing titles.

Yes, their bug laden driver software was the reason I gave up on my G920 and got a CSL Elite. Maybe now that they're entering the DD market with a wheel clocking in at £1k they'll put more resources into their software.

@@pedrosilvamusician lmao after what, like 2 years, G Hub sucks as much as and is way worse than their previous mouse/keyboard software.
The fact that they dont bother fixing makes me never wanna buy any of their products again, one of the reasons I didnt buy G Pro Headset new for only $38.
I like the mouse itself, but their keyboards are also overpriced cheap plastic quality. As for the DD wheel, it looks like good quality but overpriced as well compared to others, unless none of the parts are imported from china then the price makes bit more sense.
Received mine couple days ago,you explained very well about the quality of the feedback,have been trying to explain this to friends ,was a little nervous making the switch from fanatec,no regrets so far

Theres few things but this quality of feedback is superior to anything i have experienced.Personally fanatec imo have grown too big and there customer support has been slipping.

@@pertsonvelts1699 yes sorry i should said,ive been on a dd couple years,people are saying this logitech is expensive,I personally think its spot on,your getting a way better quality servo motor and the rim is superior to the csl range of rims,closer to there clubsport.
I think good bang for buck and the qr is awesome,no flex.fanatecs eco system is way better rite now tho and you wouldn't be disappointed going down that road either.

I'm happy with my csl DD, but I'm still excited that logitech is finally getting with the times.

This is high praise indeed...Will take a look at some point when upgrade from my Thrustmaster RS300 GT in the future..
Maybe for RevLights, In ACC, Settings, there is "Enable Manufacturers *something*". But if I remember correctly, this was originally for TrueForce effects when it came out.
After my home remodel, I will be picking this wheel and base up. I was saving to upgrade my csl 2.5 setup to direct drive from Fanatec, but the lack of availability has changed my mind.

I just bought this wheel and Logitech PRO pedals and waiting on arrival. Never done any sim racing. I know I have a lot to learn but I hope I made the right choice getting the wheel and pedals.

I'm in the process of upgrading from my G920 and Playseat Evolution setup to a FANATEC cls DD setup (with clubsport pedals and shifter) + a GT OMEGA Prima rig. I have everything but the CSL DD wheelbase, because it's out of stock and nobody knows when they're gonna be back. I like this Logetich Pro idea, but it looks so plain... Fanatec offers those sublime wheels (Like the GT3 R wheel) and it looks so much better. But this Logitech Pro vs a CSL DD 8 Nm with the Porsche wheel... what would you pick?
I have modded Logitech G27 and Driving force Pro to squeeze out as much power and performance. I still use them on the PlayStation platform. I use an Accuforce V2 now with PC and I remember you using one, it is interesting the Logitech feels better than the Accuforce. Great review.
Hehe, I tried looking up the instructions to change the electronics but I could not find them anymore, I was curious because my setup is a simrig for ETS2 and other big, non-racing vehicle simulators and the G27 I modified for having a larger turnradius (about 2290 degrees from lock to lock after autocalibration) was not liking the truck wheel it is connected to.
I would like to se RFR wheel test of it and I'm kinda still worried about that lack of profile settings because it means it will work amazing in some titles and just fine or bad in other games.
Hello, have you ever tried this G Pro on a console? I'm thinking of getting a DD wheel. On the console, switching from GT7 to ACC. And it appears that this is the only DD wheel now for sale that I can use on PS5. Some reviews claim that the ACC on console recognizes the G pro as G923, and that the TF or FFB on console version of ACC is not as good as the one on PC (Since ACC 1.8v update, it should be almost no different between PC and PS5 version.) I'm wondering if the differences are due to the PC vs Console or just the wheel?
I bought one and I like it. Always had Logitech wheels and never had issues. Hopefully the trend continues.
How has the experince been after 1 Year?
got a g923 wheel, the led's only work after you go into ACC controller menu in game. not sure if it would be the same for this new wheel.

Got a Logitech g29, and that pro wheel is looking quite nice!
But the price is too much for me at the moment.
Direct drive wheels in general is a bit more money than I would spend on something like this, as I ain't a super big sim racer.
Would have been neat to try once of course :p
if you don't call yourself a "super big sim racer" then no, this is absolutely not the wheel for you, unless money weren't something you particularly care about lol
Does Acc (PC) recognize the Logitech Pro Wheel in "pro wheel" mode? My wheel does not work in pro wheel mode. I have to use the G923 Compatibility mode with my pro wheel for it to work. Not sure if it's just my wheel?
Im still rocking my 12 year old G27 You can say what ever you want about Logitech but they do quality products for sure.

Good to hear that Logitech has made a great wheel. Their old wheels were very reliable so hopefully these will be as well.
The price needs to drop, however. They will have a hard time selling them at $1,000.
I am eagerly waiting to see what Thrustmaster brings to the table. Thrustmaster has been my favorite brand prior to buying the Fanatec CSL DD.
I do not agree on the reliability aspect of some of the G-series wheels. When they went the route of pushing on an encoder disc on the motor-axis of one of the force-feedback wheels, and it started suffering cracked discs due to heat-buildup from heavy use, it became such a common issue that when someone sold their wheel "for parts or as is" and described it "loosing center for some reason" you almost instantly knew what was up.
Yes, in the G27 and maybe upwards they hung the wheel axis in actual bearings, but the endstop-configuration and the way they back off from it after autocalibration is ehm, not the best way to do that.
A wheel I took over from a colleague who at first asked me to check it (same symptoms of it loosing center in games) used it a lot and it had a cracked encoder disc, 2 cracks in the PCB for the encoder system, and a massive crack all the way through the axis housing that holds the bearing.
Because of having used an ABS-plastic with an additive that makes it impossible to glue even with the most toxic (but strong) of glues, it could not be repaired all to reliably.
(The colleague didn't want it back when he heard how bad it was).

Thanks for the review, Im looking to pick one of these up actually, as high as the price is (around $1600-$1700 for me with pedals cuz funny canadian money) it seems like the best option: high quality motor, its logitech so it will fit in with the rest of my setup, and it comes with a clamp for desks and such. Only problem im going to have is trying to find a place to mount it to lol.
I'm in Toronto and mine came in about 5 days. Import fees and delivery charges put Fanatec out of reach for me. Plus, most bundles are sold out. This wheel is great. I bought a TH8A shifter for now. Hopefully Logitech will have one soon. You will need something solid to attach it to if you use over 3nm of force. :)

I loved my G923 and actually regretted the move to Thrustmaster. If the G Pro gets any kind of ecosystem then I'll be 100% getting one.
Do u think upgrading t300rs worth it ? i have g923 too.
@@ozgurkuzu2202 the T300 has stronger force feedback and access to the Thrustmaster ecosystem but for me personally it was more of a side grade than an upgrade.
The Thrustmaster wheels are not as comfortable and the T300's force feedback is not as snappy and detailed as the G923. The Thrustmaster pedals are amazing though when compared to Logitech.
I think that personally you'd be better off saving your money for a Fanatec DD if you're on console or for the forthcoming Moza Racing R5 bundle if you're on PC.
I'm not you though. The choice is yours. I'm just very aware that I regret the move to Thrustmaster.

question is using your non-Logitech H pattern shifter with the Logitech wheel a easy set up? I have the logitchec H pattern and now that i upgraded my wheel i feel like i should upgrade my shifter.
Yea, as long as you’re on PC. It should be plug and play for most games

I would like to see it put against a Fanatec DD1, not the CSL DD
The DD2 has more power but was too much for me. Turned it down quite a bit IMHO. I think it's overkill. QR system on Log is better. Of course for now only one rim. And I love the pedals. I have used all the Fanatecs,Heusenveld, TM ,and several other top tier pedals. These do the job for me. They are really easy to adjust. Easy to mount. No flex
The pedals are great as well. The base alone weighs over 15 pounds. The wheel is 3.5 pounds. Only the cover is plastic. Better than the dust catching Fanatec DD bases. Have no problem with the base size. Not sure why that matters. Easier to mount than the Fans. On wheel menu is better than Fans as well

@@SimRacing604 If you buy the pedals and wheel together it's $1262 with free shipping Fan DD Pro Mclaren V2 V3's $1200 plus shipping costs. Add $100 for metal QR which is not as good as the Logitech so in fact the Logi combo is cheaper with more power. I will buy the add-on rim when it comes out

Would the Logitech G force shifter work on the Logitech pro wheel?
You need an adapter cable. A to Z has them.
Plugs into a usb port on your pc and appears as a separate controller. Then just map the gears.

No, it’s very smooth. The Logitech G has excellent FFB

Abusing my g27 for 11 years at this point. No issues whatsoever. Alas, it is going to be replaced be the G pro. Even though I love it and it did nothing wrong.
You’ll be happy with the G Pro. Great wheel and wheelbase, it just needs more wheel offerings from Logitech to help it compete with Fanatec, Moza and Thrustmaster.
Good to see them come out with a DD, but I hate the design on it. A bit to big and too much plastic. If they Have the FFB down that would be a great plus for them. I will say though. Logitech should start to bring out an eco system for their wheel base 1k for a base and not other offerings would be a bit of a let down wheel rim wise.
I prefer the Log to Fan dust catchers. The base weighs 15 plus pounds .
You must have a fanatec otherwise you would know how silly you sound.

@@zooski1516 I have had Logitech/thrustmaster products before, plus yes I have a DD1 with three wheel rims and HE sprint pedals. I went away from Thrustmaster/Logitech for that specific reason build quality the bases themselves weren't bad and preformed. So idk how I'm being silly about what I said.

Nice to see this wheel getting some good press. People are swearing up and down that it doesn't deserve its price tag and that we should consider SimMagic/Moza/etc without even trying it. The only knock IMO is the size of the base, but I think it's something that can be gotten over pretty quickly. Don't discount the console compatibility as well. If Logitech starts coming out with different wheels, it's a true winner.
Well said, Ryan. Logitech rightfully deserves the criticism about the plastic wheelbase and the size of the wheelbase, but otherwise they’ve made an outstanding product
@@SimRacing604 But imagine the higher price (and the outrage) if the whole thing was metal. I don’t think a metal case is entirely necessary as long as the moving parts are all quality.

1. The FFB seems better just because it uses telemetry to enhance the effects. I sincerely don't know why other brands don't do the same, but for what I know they think the work doesn't warrant the interest of the audience, something I highly disagree with.
2. Why did you say you have motion turned OFF when you can clearly see your rig moving side by side when you steer?

No. I get that question a lot. It definitely would be problematic if there was a lot of movement, but since the movements are subtle it feels fine. Sort of like how a driver’s head gets thrown around relative to their windshield

Yeah, but the software it's R I D I C O L U S. I've never experienced such a pain like using that damn G-Lab o whatever is called.
Agreed. They need to put some time and effort into getting their software working properly. Anti-overheat circuitry being triggered causing total ffb gain loss, even when the wheelbase was cold and the wheel reverting to 900 degrees even when it was set to 360 for F1 were the two recurring issues that had me tearing what's left of my hair out.

It is cheaper than the DD's and a little cheaper than the DD Pro with wheel and pedals

still no rims... that's an issue for such expensive platform.
You have to understand that logitech hasn't really released any entry level wheels, when they released the g25 and g27 they were top dog for quite a while, they were the wheel to have! Then the Thrustmaster r500 wheel came out not long after the g27 and beat it. But the g27 was at the time an expensive high end wheel. Since then they haven't really released a new wheel, yes they have released variations of the g27, the g29 and driving force which is basically the g27 without all the condiments. So they have just been essentially been releasing a rehashed version of the g27 with improvements, its just the bar has been raised with direct drive wheels. When logitech was about to release a direct drive wheel, I knew it would be fairly high end and excellent quality. This is no surprise to me.
Prices of DD wheels are a disgrace, someone needs to come along with a one around £400 and crush the market
Disgrace is a bit dramatic. You could just not buy one.
But for what it’s worth, if Moza ever sells the R5 base and ES wheel without the pedals, it will likely be quite close to £400

Have you tried the simucube 2 Pro. I tried this wheel base last week and the simucube 2 Pro is another level compared to this. This felt like my old OSW which isn't a bad thing it just didn't seem like it was worth the price over the SC2 pro

I don't know if you have a DOF reality seat mover or it is moving becuse of the wheel. I mounted my old T300RS on a 200€ Playseat Challenge and lost like 25% of the wheel details since then. I am now looking on upgrading everything but I noticed your rig moving too much.
