I'm not the biggest F1 fan anyway, Mike. But the biggest turnoff for me - is hearing that there STILL? is no mouse support within the game - unbelievable (to me) in 2024.

No surprise. EA has not released a good racing game in a long time. EA WRC is a train wreck... bring back dirt 2.0 for the love of god please lol.

I played these too when they came out, they were great, but when you get manual control, you had to be very careful on the throttle or just immediately gear up, or it spun out, and you created a massive pileup at launch lol some overpowered cars tend to have that, dunno if you're supposed to have to tweak the settings before start to prevent it, or it is just normal and everybody driving these beasts has to be extra careful and gear up or something to prevent that at the start spinout

I like this guy: direct and straight to the point: I like it and subscribed! 🎉 Don’t support EA by buying this yearly trash: you know something is clearly wrong when they spend more time and money on marketing fluff “verbally bluffing and trying to convince you about their so called reinvented physics and showing off what’s new” rather than focusing on making a better game. Let’s face it: these so called yearly updates (which they don’t do any cuz the game practically looks identical for the past five years… or even worse) pale in comparison especially when you compare this game to the other sim racing games on the market. EA should seriously just focus on upgrading F1 23: add numerous new tracks and introduce historical ones, add music, add VR features, overhaul and add more detail to the old tracks, add tons of liveries and retro cars, add numerous weather effects and damage physics, add mouse support, add co-op and team play options, fix the sounds, add more night racing effects etc etc It seems that they are prioritizing console controller support which is completely unacceptable in this day and age of sim racing. Call it ultimate F1 or whatever but EA should be ashamed. AMS2 on the other hand should replace EA, is one of those solid games that deserves to be the new F1 series with all the licenses etc.

Great video Mike. These are fun games for what they are, but EA is now legendary for the yearly cash grab with all their sports titles. Very little innovation year over year all in the attempt to drain you of your currency of choice. I'm patiently waiting for AC Evo. God bless and race on 🏁

The thing I hate most about these games is the lack of mouse support for in game menus. 14 years, still waiting. It's a slap in the face to all PC users.

ffb is better in A2 or ACC? i have ACC and AC, and RF2, i don't ask for RF2 because is in a beta version since more than 10 years ago...

Is it just me or do the camera views seem make the cars handle different, especially on the porche Cup and GT3.. The bumper cam seems best

Great racing, but the AI is very ropey, and needs a lot of work. I tried this race a lot, and got consistently wiped out by the AI. Reiza are doing great work though, and some of the racing is awesome; but really depends on the class.

Enjoying the new layout overall Mike, but did miss having a mirror to see behind in this one :) Seeing all the pit crews at once was pretty cool though :D and lap 85 was 'hold on tight and pray' time 😂

Overall and all around, AMS2 might just be one of the most fun racing games. Great video!

I love the CART cars preferably the 98 gen2. Reiza needs to fix the lap down cars to fall to the back not stay in front of the leaders to take the green. Ai looks better and doesn’t look like the cars have excessive yaw like they use to. Also the Ai would wreck and leave tires and debris on track, hopefully that’s fixed, looks like it

Idk if you are using them here already, but I find for Rio you really need to work the ARBs and the weight jackers every lap since the corners are so dramatically different. I find WWT is similar in that regard. It's certainly the most difficult oval.

Could be wrong but looks like custom AI consistency/stamina stats proly need to be upped a bit cause it looks like thet got "tiered" near the end and were slowing down a bit.

I'm patiently waiting for the 1.6 update. The only two cars I drive on ams2 now are the 2024 stock cars and the gen2 f1 because I've gotten so used to the new tires and everything else feels to slippery now

That was the IER C7 Corvette Daytona Prototype. I remember you did a video on it some years ago. Saw that car at Belle Isle park back in 2016 during IMSA Sportscar race. It sounded sooooo good and looked beastly!!

Both this and the IER P13b are superb cars and great fun to drive. But loading up a grid of them to race against causes big problems with the AI not making it off the start line as they tend to spin out on cold tyres. Also check out IER's Oreca FLM09 it's absolutely brilliant and a car with true character and quite unique in the world of AC cars.

I must confess to being slightly confused by your video title, Mike. Cos if this is truly a car mod that is "A Prototype Designed to Smash Lap Records"................... Am I the only one having big problems with the automatic gearbox, which gets stuck in 2nd and doesn't want to switch to 3rd ? As it's encrypted no way to fix it myself, let's hope an upgrade will solve that problem(
