I got a new Direct Drive steering wheel for drifting!

- Testing out the new Direct Drive steering wheel with @TheSLAPTrain1 and @CToretto while all 3 of us now have DD wheels. This drift map was recently made by CToretto and I wanted to try that out as well. The wheel is called Moza Racing R5. Handbrake installation will come soon as well, plus a new wheel swap on the R5 base.

the r5 is such a killer deal right now. I made the jump from a g920 to the R9 for extra power, but I find myself using 50-70% FFB most of the time anyways. Can't wait to see what you do with the QR and custom wheels :)

In 2 weeks I am about to buy the same direct drive wheel, got my TMX Pro for the last 6-7 years and it is showing its age, but it is an amazing wheel, and all I here about the moza wheel is very good thing about it. It looks really good and you saying it makes no sound is all I need because god my TMX is loud, I can't wait to buy the Moza!

You will enjoy it. I’ve had it for 2-3 months it’s been great. Just started to learn to drift with it. Would definitely better with a bigger steering wheel but overall love it. Takes a second to get settings right too

As an og (here since 2019ish) ive seen you progress from a g29 to the t300 and upgrade your setup more and more overtime. Only yt ive conscutivly watched for 3+ years. Love the content
Idk about the T300, but if you're upgrading from Logi G29/G920/G27, the Moza R5 is soooooooo worth it, it's a night and day difference, esp with the price for the bundle atm

just be careful with beamNG and carX now- takes quite a bit of adjustment to not get insane wheel shake on beamNG(specially at or near steer lock in the jbx100/any mod cars really), and reducing the ffb by half on carX.

He got bottom of the line direct drive wheel though. The base is like $400 which isn’t much more then the t300.

Bout time! Glad to see so many drifting legends on CZcams finally upgrading from the Logitech and Thrustmaster setups. Those aren't bad, but, let's be real... it's a completely different experience once you get your hands on the big boy tech.

On WDTS use nismo 4:1:1 gearing for best results and then adjust turbo for how long u want the gears
If you're on a budget and you want a wheel with force feedback I recommend using a PXN V10 steering wheel.
