Well, here we go again with the SECOND reboot of The Fairly Oddparents. It was leaked before but now an official trailer has been released. And...it's actually...looking okay?

So I just saw the first episode of this reboot and I just gotta say
I’m freaking hooked!!!
Not only will each episode be 22 minutes but there will also be complex stories, morals and arcs!
They finally did Cosmo and Wanda justice! They feel a lot like their “oh yeah cartoons!” Era. Instead of just being brain dead, Cosmo has become more of a sensitive, himbo type character who actually uses his brain. instead of just being a loud nag, Wanda has become a dorky mom character in her 40s and just love that for her! You can tell how much they love eachother too and there’s a nice little twist at the end of the episode that will free up some very interesting stories going forward
Hazel is a good character with lots of potential and funny moments and her parents are actually GOOD FREAKING PARENTS, lots of funny meta references to the old show too and Wanda says a line about the duration of the shows run that had me in absolute TEARS.
Overall the show is funny, charming, clever and well written, I can’t wait to see what’s next! 9/10
I really hope that A New Wish actually ends up to be a good show after the disaster that is Fairly Odder. And while the franchise is still going... It might be safe to say that will not go away as successes always find a way to come back from companies. Also, I heard that Butch is not working on the upcoming series which might be interesting and I do like the animation style despite being leaked twice. With it's upcoming release later on this month, I can see some promise with this despite how FOP went downhill since seasons 9 and 10.
And how Fairly Odder even won a KCA did not make that much sense. That was a great video you did, Josh.

Super glad that I'm not the only one who's cautiously optimistic of this show. If this show is actually good, it could be the first big win for FOP fans in a long time.

Josh, have you ever thought of doing a video on X-Men '97, given its one of Disney + highest rated shows?
The animation looks pretty good for CGI, especially with some 2D elements which reminds me of the Spider-Verse style. I’ll give it a shot because it looks pretty good so far. Though, wasn’t it gonna be on Netflix? That got me a bit confused since they said it’d release on Nickelodeon, but it was gonna be released on Netflix, at least how it said it was on the leaks. Either way, I’ll give the show a chance for me to watch it because it’s looking good so far. And great video, btw!

Coming from a dude who at least liked Fairly Odder a bit for what it was trying to be, this gives me way more hope that A New Wish will be great and amazing, and will finally right the wrongs done by the evil Butch Hartman and…

We missed the old Nickelodeon
Heck, if Nick brought back The Thundermans for a reunion movie, then I don't see why a Fairly Oddparents revival wouldn't work.
I could see Nick revive some of their other shows like CatDog, Teenage Robot, El Tigre, and Jimmy Neutron.
After what Nick did with Barbarian and the Troll and made it an show into obscurity, I just hope Nick can rise up again.
But what happened to Tommy and Tammy? Will the cartoon take place before they got Cosmo and Wanda or will they be an adults?
Well the animation to Fairly Oddparents A New Wish does look Nice with the blind of CG mixed with 2D the character designs does look nice Maybe I'll give this New Fairly Oddparents series a chance and who knows maybe it might be a good show even though my love for the Fairly Oddparents died right when Sparky got introduced and right when Chole came in the last season But as said earlier it may turn out good will see
Heard that Poof all grown up will be in this show, mabye he and Hazel would bond over how they both miss their older brothers.

So I remember a while back in like 2022 there was a post on like Reddit I think that basically said that Nickelodeon didn’t want to make any more shows with main female protagonists, and I guess the tables have turned now so that’s good (but I think Nickelodeon realized that was a stupid decision since the loud house exists and there’s like 10 female protagonists in it)

Honestly, I’m looking forward to this. I don’t know if it’s on Paramount+ yet or not, but when it does I will be watching it. Here’s what I like about this new show, and what I feel like makes it better than the previous adaptations:
1. Right off the bat, it feels more grounded in reality. The emotions in this show feel more realistic, especially with Hazel missing her big brother.
2. It feels more kind-spirited. In the previous series there were a lot of characters that were straight-up jerks, but everyone seems nice so far here.
3. I like that they switched from a car-centric suburb to a walkable city for the setting. There’s a lot more things they can do, and a lot more places they can go.
Also, who knows? If this is successful enough to get Danny Phantom back too. I can see Danny Phantom and the ghost and Molly McGee having a huge rivalry if both of those shows come back.
They should have ended the Original Series with Channel Chasers.

That's for sure an unnecessary "sequel" series (or reboot), in my opinion it's still too early to have yet another Oddparents product, already the original was supposed to end with season 5 (or, at most, season 8) but those greedy hands wanted to keep it on!
Months ago I watched the leaked pilot episode and it didn't excite me at all, although I admit that I like the style and animation, however what really matters is the writing, which (knowing today's cartoons) I expect to be predictable, chaotic and over-dramatic.
Because of the usual rush they have just to release something, they already made a complete mess with that unwatchable crap live-action series, so it's reasonable to think they messed up with this one too.
However, since Nick wants to keep the franchise alive at all costs, I just hope that in the end this new series will not be a disappointment...

Well, I though this reboot series of The Fairly Odd Parents called "A New Wish" was mediocre, but perhaps I misjudged this new Nickelodeon show, but hopefully it won't be worser than... season 10 with Chloe Carmichael whom I DESPISES THE MOST from The Fairly Odd Parents because she was SO MORE ANNOYING AND TOO LOUD THAT I BARELY WANNA STRANGE THAT LITTLE GIRL TO DEATH-- but I'm not being a child abuse; but stil, I really do despise Chloe Carmichael because she is so annoying, and especially the WORST live action like Fairy Odder that show was abomination, and they ruined Timmy in show live action show with his face, but season 9 was okay but Sparky was okay but annoying, but Chloe is more annoying than Sparky, but I love the eight seasons of The Fairly Odd Parents better because these seasons were classic and part of childhood.
But The Fairly Odd Parents: A New Wish as a brand new Nicktoons show, I'll just wait to see it'll be good rather or not good because I have a feeling that it will be bad, and I hope this new protagonist won't be so annoying just like FREAKIN' CHLOE who I despise the most, but I'll wait and see, if it's good, I misjudged this show and I'll make a review video, if it's bad, I'll make an EXTREME RANT video of this show, but we'll wait and see.
