The new Fairly Oddparents might be DARKER than you think! Although the adventures of Hazel, Cosmo and Wanda look sanitized compared to the days of Timmy Turner, looking into another show one of the new creators worked on may give us insight into what this new series is REALLY going for!

the pilot make it seem like cosmo and wanda are taking hazel as their godchilden in an unofffical form, because cosmo and wanda are retired but decided to help a kid cause they missed doing that.
That would really touch my heart if that was the case🥲
Cosmo pulls a random John Wick line: They say I’m back and you know what? I think they’re right. I’m back!
That doesn’t make any sense for years work differently from here with years Cosmo and Wanda are 40 thousand fairy years old I hope think
@@Pumpkinshire Cosmo's mom doesn't have godchildren, she is probably retired, it might just be that in they just reach that age.
@@Pumpkinshire Yeah and? If they're reaching 4000000+ years of age, then age probably doesn't matter and it just comes off as a "vibe" yk?
Also early retirement is a thing so yk
I watched the leaked full episode, and Hazel is so much better than Sparky and Chloe for being relatable when she became so lonely that she even thinks of her sibling as her only friend
watching leaked episodes is highly disrespectful towards animatiors, shameful
@@eeveefennecfox Blame the producers who can't keep a surprise
Hey @waheedabdullah6371 what website did you use to get it? I would like to watch it. :) (Don't listen to the 2 people above me I watched the Owl House semi finale and the Amphibia season 2 finale before they were released. :P )
@@eeveefennecfox as long as they support the official release when it eventually premieres, I don’t see an issue here.
@@eeveefennecfoxthis is some chloe from fairly oddparents type of behavior
I actually _really_ like the idea of showing a kid who needs fairy godparents because of their _internal_ problems. Timmys life was a living nightmare because of the people around him, but that's not the only way a kid can have extreme struggles. it'll be cool to see the same premise in a different context.
I also love the look of it so far. they didn't just make basic 3D models that just look like toys or figures from the original, they re-injected PERSONALITY into it. it doesn't feel nearly as lazy, and any dislike/criticism of it (that isn't just aesthetic preference) is either pure nostalgia or blind bias against CG
AWESOME!
I think it's also more realistic, as with Timmy it could be said only kids who are being abused, deserve help. Where as internal struggles have been ignored. More so with Millenials. Mental health is now more important than it has ever been from a society perspective.
You can grow up in the most lavish house with all your physical needs cared for but internally your about one mean comment from breaking down into tears.
And it’s realistic every kid has different things in their life going on.
@@callumbaurley716 There aren't enough fairies for everyone with mental health issues
This is the chance for the Fairly OddParents franchise to end on a good note after the horrible season 10 finale
Or the live action fairly oddparents show that came after
@@Blazer9970and it was even worse than season 10.
*DO NOT F*CKING GIVE ME THAT HOPE.*
@@Blazer9970Or the movies with Drake......😬
it literally hasn't started yet and you're already talking about it ending 😭 I LOVE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS, this isn't a wrap up, it's a new beginning!
The animation actually looks clean and pretty, I just hope the writing is just as good or even better.
Hopefully this has good writing
Well, for starters, Butch Hartman doesn't seem to be involved in the writing, and Cosmo and Wanda are back to being two halves of an idiot. Take that as you will
damn...twist being the pixies bought out fairyeorld and now not only do the fairies have to deal with da rules, they have a quota to meet. to which, if they fail to meet their quota, theyre fired. and a fairy godparent without wishes to grant leads to magical backup, and fairies start turning to dust piles with eyes en masse
The pixels probably did it
I mean at least Hazel’s reasoning of getting godparents is far better than that Mary sue, Chloe Carmichael’s reasoning.
Wait I forgot, why did she get Cosmo and Wanda again?
@@cclemtixne who Chloe? Mainly because some people find her an annoying when she tries to help people even though that seem like a bunch a bull crap since everyone adores her a lot even the president. Also apparently there was a fairy shortage in fairy world, so Georgian, forces Timmy to share fairies with Chloe, even though she doesn’t need them since she’s not a miserable kid.
@@bluethesabertoothrat4892 oh yeahhhhhh! Because she’s a Mary Sue! Ok! Tysm!
As long as Cosmo isn’t pregnant again I’ll happily give this a chance
I’ll only watch if he is
probably not since poof exists in this show
When your older and realize
Fairies: represented imagination and child like wonders with no responsibilities
Pixies: represented somewhat the adult world is like with little imagination more responsibilities

@darkball31 no I was referencing the joke from the episode not the roster teeth show
I don't even think that was that dark. That was anger at neglect. It's perfectly reasonable.
I'll still take A New Wish over Fairly Odder
TRUE!!!
Especially consider it's not attempting to be a continuation, but a complete reboot.
Timmy didn't HAVE fairies in this timeline.
Really? Have that been confirmed?@@electrobob992
@@electrobob992 Yes he did, the leaked pilot mentions the original series.
@@JamStan1978no he doesn’t remember he just remembers on how his 2 goldfish had been so special to him
That be great to see the pixies again, the original became stale and generic without them which is pretty ironic when you think about it.
The new series is darker than you think, that’s not what I meant 💀
Honestly would hopefully get a Danny Phantom revival someday, at least for the graphic novel.
Okay but it is what I thought he meant lmfao
I just got it now 💀
AHAHAHHA
whats funny? i dont... i dont get it
It’s weird that they got rid of poof in this new reboot, maybe that’s due to him already grown up like Timmy? However This is actually better than S9 and 10 of the original show and I’m curious to know that if we ever get a chance to see Mr Crocker get hired for a new job where hazel lives in cause he’s one of the most important villains in the show.
maybe Poof grew up and had his god kids and his god kids are Timmy's kid like in ending in Channel Chasers instead of having Cosmo and Wanda as fairy god parents for Timmy's kids but replace adult Poof in their place.
I can see Poof showing up eventually as an adult, since this is a sequel.
Its also better than Season 7-8
@@matti.8465 it’s actually been confirmed poof will return
He’s probably grown up and has a god kid of his own.
It's already darker than the og show, a darker main character
💀
I wouldn't say that the video raised my expectations, so much as it made me aware. I had no idea that there was a new series coming out, at all. At first, when I saw your video pop up, I groaned. I do indeed fall into the pit of people who are tired of studio rehashing old material, and failing at it. After finishing your video, I do find myself optimistic. While I will hold my self from getting to excited, I am interested to see where this is gonna take the show.
Childrens show: *EXIST*
Cartoon community: DARK!
Ikr
Well damn, mission accomplished.
Never thought I’d be excited about a Fairly OddParents property again, but everything about this looks promising.
If you HAVE to bring back the show, this is the best way to do it. Same premise that made the original so beloved, but with a new protagonist who's different from Timmy and adapted for the modern age.
Fairy Odder did that too, but very very badly.
flowey pfp... main character of reboot wearing frisk shirt...
HOLD ON.
OK! One of the Creators being involved with infinity train definitely sold me on giving this reboot a shot!
Same
I just wish they'd give Rob Renzetti a call and make some new Teenage Robot.
I feel like whenever fairy oddparents get stale, they should give Wanda and Cosmo a new kid while we get cameo's of their previous ones like Timmy or Hazel. Maybe we'll even see how their influence positively affected their lives later on.
Nahhh "darker than you think" is CRAZY out of context 💀
If I had a nickel for every time Kevin talked about a show that had similarities to Infinity Train, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
As long as Cosmo continues to be voiced by Guilherme Briggs in the Brazilian Dub, I will be satisfied
This thumbnail is insane
The new kid is wearing the same shirt as Frisk in Undertale and i can't unsee it.
God dam it I hate you. I can't unsee it now god damn it
If it is that reason with it just being Hazel without her brother. And feeling isolated. Keep in mind this was probably in the works during Covid. So it could make sense that was the perspective in writing her reasoning from maybe the writers experiencing it themselves or seeing the difference in kids development in being in lock down for so long. Just a thought to why they might go in that direction. So the kiddos can relate more to Hazel feeling how they might've
Just a theory
Title is crazy .
Im glad they finally have Cosmo and Wanda move on to a new god kid that isn't shared with Timmy.
As a huge fairly odd parents fan im going into this new series with hopeful expectations
A fun fan theory but I don’t think we will go that route yet. I am glad the show is at least watchable and shows they know some of the rules of the show.
4:15 Actually, there's an Asian girl next to her in the trailer where she's visibly shorter than Hazel. So... What can make the "short" argument valid now?
This has potential to be good honestly.
It would be really cool to see the new Fairly Odd Parents series take a more serialized approach. Although I do like the episodic nature of the original series, the overall concept of this franchise has a lot of potential for lore exploration and emotional depth for its characters.
the show will be episodic but then become more serialized.
I would love for the Pixies to be the villains in this season. The last time they were relevant was when Poof was born and they would work really well here. I also hope the Anti-Fairies will be back (hopefully not Foop again or at least not exclusively him)
agree on new God kids was something we never saw except Remy, the two kids from wishing well, cupids party. Or the past that episodes like Crocker, the inside the castle with the hall of fame and hall of infamy. the mock avengers episode where Timmy undid cosmo and Wanda's god kids. we don't know what character development the other god kids need.
the title made my heart ship a beat
Title is crazy 😭
Is it wrong tho ?
Thanks man this video alone made me way more interested in the show than before. 💖💚
Welp it was bound to happen man
I think this show has a chance to be actually good, and contains character and things that actually makes since with the program. While I do get the concerned from fans saying she is being used, as a shield to the whole representation thing and messaging. I think if Nickelodeon used their heads right, they can easily win with this show, after their last failure. Like seriously, just adding new characters and focusing of the show’s lore that matters, I think will work!
A "New Wish" as a sequel to the original and it's good to see some freshness in the series, as the original was kinda ran into the ground past season 5. The animation and direction look pretty promising so far, offering a different yet familiar vibe. For the series to work, Hazel NEEDS to be different from Timmy, so it's not just retreading old ground
Yeah, I think this new tone is perfect considering how messed up the original series actually was. If this works, Nick might be willing to take the chance and move beyond their cynical ways. They won’t get rid of SpongeBob and Loud House obviously, but they can easily retool them to fit this newer vision.
Well maybe this New Fairly Oddparents Series may be better then Fairly Odder
My question is why is Hazel's fairy Cosmo and Wanda specifically and not someone new.
Because Cosmo and Wanda are the most iconic characters in the franchise not to mention they can live forever
@@animezilla4486 Right but it's the equivelent of seperating Lilo from Stitch. The whole point is that the three loved each other so much that nothing could seperate them. Yet now I'm supposed to believe they had to Timmy when it became very clear Jorgen would'nt think of seperating them.
Honestly as a kid it's not always the biggest thing that can hurt sometimes it's the little things and that if not helped in time will turn into something that'll deeply hurt doesn't have to be the over the top extravagant stuff misery comes in all shapes and sizes and needs a little push out of it's zone
What I'm saying is I like the change from timmy to a new character it was not only long overdue but painful it took this long because be honest with yourself as much as Timmy was likable it's nice they're finally expanding the world in a way that doesn't involve forcing it to be live action (for some unbearable reason) and I personally hope this does well but that might be
*Wishful* thinking
Personal I'm keeping my expectations low mainly to be disappointed with it but I really like the possibilities that it could go. I feel like this is where the show should have gone after Timmy instead of all the other stuff.
If the Pixies do take over and the fairies are out of the job, they'll suffer from magic build up and explode.
Unless they retcon that... like so much else they retconned as the show degraded
Love your content guys ❤❤❤
Can wait for this show 🎉🎉🎉
In my opinion, I think they’re leaning towards that Timmy is going to return in the sequel series put in a and interesting and unique way, and that is him still, remembering that fairies exist and him remembering the aventures that him and his Fairly OddParents had and also the new adventures that they’re going to have with our main character because I’m leaning towards the Timmy, is going to be a side character one that helps Cosmo and Wanda and the new main character
I saw the trailer and having old jorgen is hilarious. Im hyped for this. But Vox that intro and title are wild af 😂😂
CN robbed US of a final season and left us with soooo many questions!!! lol
I want to see The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish to focus on quality rather than quantity. Why? It is because the Fairly OddParents had focus too much on quantity over quality because the show had gone through Seasonal Rot. Second, they need to remove Butch Hartman out of his show because his writing quality sucks and Butch focuses too much on quantity and his shows have complete decrease in quality. He ruined himself because of his pride.
"Is darker that you think" is wild.🤣🤣🤣
well thanks to this video it may encourage me to check out this New Fairly Oddparents series
Me too
One wild thing about the animation industry in Canada right now; most of us are out of work, and any jobs I have seen are asking for a MAXIMUM EXPERIENCE of 5 years. I've been in this industry since 2011 and I might well be pushed out of the industry soon. They want to hire newer animators who they can much more easily abuse and not pay nearly as much.
I am so happy that Cosmo and Wanda are back
"that's not what I meant" Brooooo lmfao
I’m in the middle of this. I know it will be better than Fairly Odder but I just hope they won’t mess it up
Meh...
I'm not against the show, but I'm just sick of re-imagining or remakes. I think we should get new shows, like infinite train. The Fairly odd parents was part of my childhood, but that's were it should stay.
If there’s an Infinity train writer I’m in
I also got to see the leak and have never felt more excitement for a reboot
That’s a wild title dude 😮💀
wonder what kinda Timmy lore we’ll get here or if Poof makes an appearance
theory is that the bus driver is Timmy since the appearance matches middle-age Timmy in that episode where he aged up
How could you tell?
@@chrisomo4553 if I recall correctly in Vailskibum's comment section
You just had to remind me of Infinity Train season 4. Such a cool concept having 2 characters' journey on the train intertwined, but such a dud of a season. They kept going 1 step forward, 2 steps back, and didn't even seem to really resolve anything by the time their time on the train ended. They were nowhere near a resolution, and then it was just over. The freaking bell had more character development than either of that season's focal characters. After seasons 1-3 hit so hard, it was such a downgrade. Kez was fun to watch sometimes, but the 2 guys just pissed me off.
I really hope they make Timmy a side character in this new sequel series, and he still remember fairy world, and Cosmo and Wanda
He probably won't remember, because that's how it works
@@gryficowa but stuff can be changed in the Fairly OddParents universe and the rules can be changed
@@gryficowa I still have a high chance that Timmy will remember is very odd parents, because both of them hold a special bond
I think they made a exception for Timmy for him to remember everything about his Fairly OddParents and fairy world

My hopes are still low but from your perspective I can now see the potential. Ive just been so burnt out from this franchise over the years and idk if nick has it in them to make the show good.
A new Wish at least looks better than fairly odder, and hey Cosmo and wanda have a New kid who reminds us of Timmy.
2:00 for the two pictures who even smiles like that and for what reason!!!!
I’m not really a Fairy Odd Parents fan but I’m actually pretty excited for this show tbh.
Great video
Nick: Mhhmm, stick with the old or do something new
OK I’m not gonna lie. I really hope they bring back Timmy somehow
What the actual fuck is that creepy SpongeBob thing? Never knew that rebooted that too
Hazel: My brother went to college so now I’m sad
Timmy: My parents are literally never home and when they are completely ignore me so I’m forced to survive a babysitter who literally tries murdering me sometimes, and when I don’t have to deal with them I go to school and deal with a giant grey kid who gives supernatural wedges, an obsessed stalker, and a teacher who constantly harasses and bully’s me by literally shooting cinderblocks that represent my failures at my face
youre missing nuance.
Hazel also has no friends BUT her brother and is bullied by Doug dimmadomes cousin also.
Timmy had friends, even tootie tried, but hazel has no friends. And hazel is more realistic.
Honestly I would be mad as well as someone who didn't watch much Nick as a kid this was my second Nicktoon man and it broke mey heart to see what they done this series. But man I'm glad this is going back to basic hopefully this goes well and don't bring anything we hate from later seasons and live action so yeah this is cool.
Don’t Forget Norm the Genie!
And since you mentioned a space arc with mark chang, Don’t leave out Princess Mandie.
And Ms. Doombringer, who we haven’t seen since the final episode of season 5.
and Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda, who we haven't seen since after season 7 when Foop is introduced.
Hey vox I know it’s been a long time since u talked about svtfoe!!
I at least hope they put in a few Timmy-Easter Eggs in the show. Like make him a teacher at her school. Make him the new Crocker, trying to catch his own Ex-Fairys… maybe that was Crockers Problem.
My only complaint about Timmy not being the protagonist is the fact it goes against the show's established canon. For those who have forgotten; due to Timmy having a psycho for a babysitter, dimwittedly dismissive parents and teachers that made his life a nightmare...it was decided that Timmy would need his fairies for a long, LOOONG time.
Sure, Timmy gave his fairies on loan to his cousin in Fairly Odder while at college. But this new protagonist doesn't seem to have ANY ties with Timmy whatsoever. So, unless something happened down the line, Cosmo and Wanda should still be with him.
On top of all that, where did Poof go
If only you saw the leaked full episode to know Hazel's pain. Plus after all the terrible things Timmy has done, his fairies were taken away. I'm sure Hazel can't be worse than him
@@waheedabdullah6371 But all those things were later remedied
I have no problem with Timmy not being the main character, but I wish Wanda and Cosmo were Timmy's future kids' fairy godparents
@@emmanuelojurongbe2469 I don't want anymore Fairly Odder vibes
No it doesn't? He has to grow up anyway, and at a certain point he'll be old enough that he loses them. All of Cosmo and Wanda's past kids weren't related to Timmy, so why does a new one have to be?
Umbrella corporations, are the worst because they use the loophole of indirect competition in order to not be seen as a monopoly. Even though umbrella corporations are a monopoly, that prevents an healthy amount of competition. Leading to both like consumers and creatives to be the ones most affected.
Honestly even though it seems like such a petty reason to need fairy godparents you have to factor in that one's own misery is simply their perception. Obviously in general universally certain things cause negative emotional reactions, but my brother and sister grew up in the same household as I, but I was always the one that was the most miserable. Even though we all grew up under the same roof my perception of how bad things were was far stronger than theirs. My sister even admitted that even though she was going through the same things as me she just managed to keep busy and block it out. She basically said that she had to program herself like a robot in order to maintain her sanity. She wasn't necessarily happy, but she also wasn't trying to drown herself in the bathtub at the age of 10. I fell into a downward spiral to the point I was hallucinating, was self-mutilating, suicidal, violent, verbally hostile at almost all times, and many other terrible things. Meanwhile she was keeping it together pretty well. I was so depressed that I desperately wished that fairy godparents were a real thing, because I needed them, for I was ready to die at the age of 10. Most kids have a fear of some homicidal maniac from a horror movie breaking into their house and stabbing them to death. I fantasized about being stabbed to death by Michael Myers. But anyhow it is kind of an interesting premise to see our lead getting fairy godparents for a much different reason than Timmy having imbecilic ignorant parents and an evil abusive babysitter. Because even though just missing her brother that she was reliant on may seem like a petty reason to need fairy godparents if it sent her into a downward spiral, it still made her depressed. It does not necessarily matter what made them depressed it just matters that it did. Remi became depressed because in spite of his immense wealth his neglective, unloving, parents who couldn't even remember his name drove him into such a deep depression that even with a fairy godparent he was still very depressed, he was just a lot less depressed with a fairy godparent than without one.
i like its a new one how could timmy have his fairies like Jorgen assigns Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof to some new kids, while Timmy and Tootie continue to travel the world and grant wishes for others.
I had no idea about this until now.... I WANT!
One thing I like is that fairy oddparents is basically like the American Doraemon as both have slacker kids who get wacky friends with some minimal character growth.
Not that every antagonist has to be a metaphor for something but I do think it'd be kinda funny if the anti fairies represented AI art and how it's like the real thing but heartless and just kinda off. Idk just a thought
I have lower to zero expectations about the new Fairly Odd Parents
In season 4 episode 4 of the Fairly Odd parents (Pixies Inc), the episode is about the Pixies buying out Fairy World, so as cool as concept as that would be, I don't think they'll do it again
YES, EVERYTHING IS INFINITY TRAIN! Anyhow, with those thoughts you had of the show in mind, the series doesn't sound as bad as I originally thought it did. I didn't like FOP. I even recently tried to watch one episode of it and almost immediately turned it off. But, if this series happens to catch my attention, with a WRITER FROM INFINITY TRAIN in mind, that would be a pretty big feat in my opinion. I actually really like the idea of the pixies representing corporate mergers, but if that's really the way they're going, let's hope they can pull it off for long enough until anyone realizes...
Just like SpongeBob Nick will never let the fairy odd parents franchise rest. 💀
what a plot twist would it be if it turned out her brother was actually dead and she was just coping by saying he was at college
Just remember to not keep you hopes too high just in case it isn’t what you expect it to be
I think this video has got me curios to watch the new version.
What kind of specialties does hazel have that Timmy doesn’t?
Something screams that the criteria for getting Fairy God Parents may have been changed with an older Timmy Turner in mind to help with it as the evolving world may not exactly see miserable god kids like Timmy in the same light anymore. Even Timmy was noticing it likely hence why he worked with Jorgen Von Strangle to update said criteria.
If this is still the work of Butch Harman, I've got some bad news for you...
Butch Hartman's gone off to make a religious cartoon about a lion and a lamb in the Garden of Eden, and it's actually good, amazingly enough. (Okay, Veggie Tales was good. Davy and Goliath was good. But most religious cartoons still stink.)
