- I've been asked to do some dollar coin hunts, so I figured... why not? I'm a newbie with dollar coins so I am grateful for any feedback from those familiar with them. I will be looking for not only proof coins, but errors and varieties as well!
A few key Presidential Dollar Coins to look for:
1979 P Susan B Anthony Wide Rim
2000 P Sacagawea "Bold Tail Feathers"
2000 P Sacagawea "Wounded Eagle"
2000 P Sacagawea "Goodacre Finish"
2002 - 2008 Sacagawea NIFC or missing edge lettering
2007 - 2016 Presidential "Missing or Wrong Edge Lettering"
2012 - 2016 NIFC Presidential Dollars

I did manage to score a few Proof Dollar Coins as well as a crazy looking 200 P die gauge/wounded eagle variety which was pretty cool in my opinion... What do you think?

Rob i got a nickle box. Im only half way done with it but its mostly full of 40s and 50s. No silver yet but i got a V nickle out of it!
I would have though 2001 would be an NIFC for the Sacajawea. Any ways, you could have something like a Morgan error where it may be an "extra" feather.
Do you sell any of your coins and if so were do you sell them
What microscope do you use?

Hunting a box of pennies right now.. only 7 rolls in I have 8 wheats ranging from 1918-1951 plus S mints!! I about to have a harvest!! I really should film the rest of this box! Love your videos keep it up brother!!!

Update on the 1934 wheat penny for you Rob. Took to a local grader and found out it's a 1934 west point grade 9 of 10. And estatemented up to a $300 sale only 700 left in circulation and a rare find.

I'm gonna save it and start a early 1930's coin collection and save all the change I get from breaking a dollar. I started to save to open my own place to store scrap and open a arcade along main street in New Britain Connecticut
+Paul Brink Not trying to burst your bubble but I read the West Point Mint wasn’t erected until 1937 so I don’t think it’s possible to have a 1934 coin from West Point. Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s what I have found out. If somehow it actually is that is an awesome find because anything from West Point fetches a higher dollar value
@@mattkitterman7545 granted. He had a picture and documents from his great grandfather who worked at the mint. But if your research stands true Matt than I won't be surprised if it really is a '37 that was misstamped at the mint and is a major error stamp wheat penny

OUTSTANDING information Rob. My father gave me several rolls of dollars before he passed away I just had them sitting in a box and now I am going through them.

Awesome find!! I have a chance to pick up over 500 dollars in uncirculated President dollar coins. Would like your opinion.
I'd grab them if they are full rolls of each President or even of one president. Especially if they are 2012 or newer - those are NIFC's!

They came in boxes of cheerios in early 2000.
Buster Brown they issued 5,000 of those coins in Cheerios boxes. Most people spent them not knowing they’d be worth a lot today!

not worth it, just card it.
challenger 1 is take it to a local coin shop first. D get there opinion on it. Make sure it’s worth the effort and money to send in for grading first!

You seem to be very knowledgeable. I mean no disrespect when I say if you where to find anything of value you’d lose it touching all over the coins with your bare hands. Fingerprints are forever on a coin
I know - but since these coins are circulated, they've been handled before. No excuse and no offense taken at all - I just hate the feel of gloves - I usually only wear them when handling valuable coins or uncirculated coins.
You can still find coins of value in circulation. I appreciate you not getting offended it wasn't my intention at all. I'd just hate for you to find that one rare one and completely devalue it 😂 I enjoy your videos. I know gloves can be annoying if I dont wear them I just hold the edges. I love you'll never know what you'll find in the next roll. Happy hunting!
