It was a good couple of days searching. But I found out I hate trying to figure out if a penny is an error or md, grease, cud, or something else stupid.

    My concern with die cracks is how they affect the grade of a coin. I have a 1922 D Lincoln in a very high grade, I would estimate that a grading company would call it a MS64RD if you disregard the very visible die cracks, there are three of them on the reverse and one is apparent just glancing at the coin. I bought it because it was an interesting coin and I got it at a very good value but I'm curious how grading companies treat such things if such a coin was submitted.

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  Před rokem

      Never heard of a die crack down grading a coin, later die states tend to not get the money grade it seems but guessing what a grading company will grade a coin will just give you a headache.

      it's your coin and you can do what you want with them, there's so many of some coins hard to believe that someone would accuse you of wrecking history. As long as a coin is sold for what it is then it's not hurting anyone. A key date is a bit different since the value is hurt because if the damage.

    Great information again Daniel. But pennies were melted by the thousands in 1916 to make a memorial statue in Wilkinsburg Pennsylvania. At a cost of 1.1 million dollars in grant money and thousands of pennies donated by school children. The statue no longer stands in its original position after being stolen once 1980 then returned. Then hit by an out of control car in 2001. It was removed in 2017 and It can be found today the borough building, more information can be obtained on this statue by contacting the Wilkinsburg Historical Society.

Thus when someone comes in my shop to sell for example a 1916-d or 20-s etc in vf or better that books $2.00 and up I can't pay more than a couple of cents due to the fact I will be stuck with it. Back to our last conversation, same thing with the cent rolls. Soooooo many people out there selling these rolls and bulk bags by the pound. It usually comes out to about 60 to ?????? PER COIN and there actually selling them. With. The ever missleading quote"unopened and unsearched" of course they mean BY THEM wether they actually knowing if any of the previous owners have. And there conscience is OK WITH IT, or "shotgun roll" and anyone that has spent any time around coin rolls can tell by the pictures posted that one of the ends has been tampered with. Or showing wheat reverses on both ends. Oooo what's in the middle??? Oh thats right it's the coins from the barrel or bulk bags with every know possible types of damage on them. Or there all from the same year, and it not one of the good years. And who bus them...... Newbies to the hobbie. It's like right of passage. THOW SHALL GET BURNED ON COIN ROLLS. It's like they don't want any new hobbiests😳🤕🙃 I wish I could share your videos with more people but most of my contacts are very aware of the conjobbers out there. I'm just getting the Facebook and other web stuff going, I think I'll hook your link up to all of my posts!?!? We need to find some deep pocket to sponsor a set of TRULY educational videos and post them on all of the pages where uninformed people shop?✌🤙🕵

      @@larryioeferreira341 I am an IT by trade. I fear no attacks, believe me, they have tried. In 2016 they nearly took down my website but I learned from that and one step ahead.

    Dan if I bring some coins in can I pay u to send some coins to PCGS

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  Před 5 lety

      I am not a PCGS dealer so I don't send except on special occasions. I don't send that much to them anymore is another reason. So I don't like to have coins from other people tied up.
