If someone watched every one of your videos front to back they would have enough info for a degree in freehand sharpening as long as they do the practical work at home. You're the man. Thank you
Hey, man! I was the one who made that request! I'm honored that you took the time to do it. I'm a big fan! PS. Found the right gift for you. Something 100% brazilian. Thanks a lot!
Felipe Sampaio awesome! and man. i have not forgotten about u, i know its been awhile. but i got stuff backed up out the door! email anytime u like. my apologies
Good video on deburring. You just got a new subscriber. I accidentally found out while wiping swarf off a blade that a wet paper towel dragged over a sharpened edge will detect a burr. Keep up the good work.
Definitely one of your very best videos! Your leading edge style already is predisposed to leave less burr, and your approach gets great results heading into lower grits for the finish. To me, the single most important result in achieving a durable sharp edge is striving for a burr free apex. Well done.
Great video and thanks for explaining things the entire way thru. Sometimes that burr can be a real sob to build up from grit to grit. I find myself having to space out my freehand sharpening throughout a couple days, or else I get lazy and don't hold the angle through the entire process
Glade to see I was doing it 80% right. I just didn't do it between each grit. I did the step down 4 3 2 1 each side on the 600 at the end though. I also starting using my right hand to guide the blade which is giving me much better results around the belly and tip. I think I need to seriously clean my dimond plates. Thinking they might not be as clean as they should be or I damaged them. Thankfully the worksharp plates don't cost much.
Nice video as always I see you're getting one of my knives ready for me was it planned to wear the benchmade shirt well sharpening a benchmade knife lol
This isnt a high end movie Foker, give him a break. If he's like me he would rather spend his money on new knives instead of new cameras. Great video Rough Rooster I just got into free hand after using my kme for a year and this was helpful. In going to watch all your videos!

It's all right, my friend! No apologies are needed. I know exactly how our daily life can be time and energy consuming. Be well!

Lightly dragging your edge through a piece of wood does a nice job of the de-burring also
gary samples yes this does work. But it can also rip away metal u dont want gone. I guess it just depends on the steel.
Nice video Chris. You always make it look easy.
Steve Kushman lol 😏

Justin Hendren that is a big problem for alotta people..and no problem!
Great Video 👍
Great vid!
SteelBearingHand thanks dude!
That m390 is some hard stuff. Definetly takes some patients to remove the burr I guess!
Paul Lonardo its a very fine burr. different to sharpen
Yes sir. Great job

Al Knife addiction lmao!
Do you create a burr with every stone in the progession?
DesertEagle 1155 good question.. sometimes. it just depends on the steel. some yes and some no.
Is that soapy water?
Paul Lonardo water and blue dawn yes
Unless you sit behind a desk and open envelopes - that's me!😀😀😀😁😁😁
