Agree, it was after I left that he came back and tried to kill me. Ironically it was also the first time the police actually did something after years of them being called out to the home.
I managed to escape and get him jailed but could easily have gone the other way and I thank my lucky stars every day, but the psychological scars will never fade
I was married to a narcissist for 10 years and have 4 children together and we divorced almost 10 years ago. Just had a court case against him and my mind and body reacted so strongly just to see him I had to be medicated just to not have a panic attack. He had no problem lying under oath with a straight face. How do you play against someone that thinks that rules (and even laws) do’nt apply to them when you yourself play by the rules? It is horrific how long the trauma stays with you after being with a narc. Luckily the court was not impressed by his lies and monolouges and he was basically grilled like a chicken by them. Only 8 years left until our youngest turns 18 and I no longer have to have any contact ever again legally.
Only people who have lived with a narcissistic person can relate, I get it though.

@@ThePinsay My ex (narc) told me when we met that his ex wife was crazy and really mentally ill. I met her several times during the 10 year marriage and realised she is very normal and not mentally ill at all. Now he has had several partners he has lived with since our divorce and he has said the exactly the same about me and all the others with only a few minor changes. This past month has been crazy. His latest ex contacted me and told me everything. Then his first wife came to visit me with her/mine now adult daughter/stepdaughter and turns out she has been contacted by another previous ex! I invited this ex for dinner at my place and it was like the most epic reunion ever and turns out the narc is way worse than any of us knew when we all talked about his abuse. My kids were so happy to get to see this ex since his partners always are the ”nanny” during the relationship and the kids bond with them, just to suddenly find this person gone and replaced by another and it is very confusing to them. My teens finds it hilarious that all the exes but one all have contact now 😂 we seriously talked about warning his new partner but he has probably said that we are all crazy… but how can we all be crazy? Is he just the most unlucky man in the world or is he the reason we are all ”crazy”. One crazy ex can be true but 6?! Common now…
It felt very healing and validating to get to talk to some others that lived the same nightmare.
Wow your story is identical to mine ❤ I met my narcissist when I was just 15 and he claimed to be 25(Found out 15 years later he was actually 35!) My mother tried to do everything to get him away from me, she even sent me abroad at 19 but I worked and bought him over. We had three kids when I finally left him when I was 25. I find out after I was pregnant with our 4th. Got a restraining order after he was following me around calling me names in the street...in front of our kids and he tried to strangle me. Spent 3 years in family courts. It's been 16 years now. The baby I had after I left doesn't know or want to know his dad now he is 16. Two of our boys(aged 23 and 18) do have contact with him now but have learnt what he is like. I was fortunate that he showed his true colours throughout court proceedings and everyone said he is a narcissist. He made me believe I was crazy 😂 I'm glad you are out of the situation ❤❤

But they sure are masters at making you feel like you won the jackpot during the love bombing fase… I have had to deal with him for 19 years now, only 8 left. I have been counting down from 17,5 years so I guess any progress is good. Does you youngest ever see the ”dad”?
As a survivor of domestic abuse I would like to say to anyone experiencing domestic abuse hear me IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT . If you have family left reach out they love you they will help I know it's embarrassing , scary and saying what's happening out loud makes it more real but reach out. For the ones like me with no family to help if you don't have a friend there is still help from the domestic abuse shelter or charity a lot of the people who work these places are survivors too they understand . But above be safe and live free (even if it's only in your own head ) .

when you are being controlled and have so much mentally done to you by someone it’s really hard to find anything good about yourself. I’m glad that you don’t understand. What I was saying is that when I was in that situation a few years ago I wish someone would have had that talk with me. I got out of it because we had a child. So to answer no I didn’t see the worth for myself but I saw it for my son and left.
I started to watch Ali Abulaban’s cross examination testimony, but I had to turn it off, it made me sick. Then people cheered when he was deemed guilty by the jury and he started crying. You’re right, he was only crying for himself. What a coward!

I started someone else's video about this murder and couldn't get through it. So happy that you're covering it. I really feel like domestic violence crimes, along with crimes where children are being failed, are the most important to talk about because we need to bring awareness in order to achieve changes in society.

People like him always see themselves as the victim! He even blamed her for, “making” him cheat on her! Apparently he, “had needs” that weren’t being met!
I can’t imagine why she didn’t want to have sex with his drugged-up, paranoid, emotional toddler self, every minute of the day! 🙄💔🙄

the way you really get into the meat of these crimes, and analyze the circumstances, criminal and victim is incredible. you don't just gloss over the victim or treat them as an afterthought, which is highly appreciated. and even with crimes i know about, i always learn something new on your channel

I think that’s all part of the controlling & abusive partner, over-confident, fragile, personality type! Male & female. I’ve known people like that. Their little heads can’t handle the idea of being dumped…it’s the extreme manifestation of loosing control.
According to him, it was even her fault that he kept cheating on her!
Apparently he, “had needs” that she wasn’t meeting. I can’t imagine why she couldn’t keep her hands off him!?! 🙄😡🙄
You either become what you were taught or you turn and run the opposite way and never look back.

I was saying sometime. After a very short while he was nasty to me. I was a psychiatric nurse at the time and i worked with a lot of men with alcohol abuse problems. I realised quickly that as well as being nasty he was an alcoholic. When i ended this very brief.. Non-relationship.. He sent me flowers, left messages on my answering machine telling me he was in love with me. Eventually he accepted the message but it was awful.

Things so often look perfect but the ugliness is hidden
I don't understand how the police can be called so often and no charges pressed. Where I live, as soon as the police is involved, there are charges pressed and they will not be dropped even if the victim wants them to be dropped. As soon as a police officer or doctor or mandated reporter is involved, there is no going back. Even if a friend goes to police about it and there's evidence, there will be charges. It's wrong that the charges being pressed depends on the victim, because they are often scared and intimidated and manipulated into taking them back or not wanting to talk about it, which is normal and okay. But if there's evidence of abuse, there can still be charges and a conviction without it depending on the victim.
Was it Philip Larkin said, “Parents don’t f-up your kids!”…or words to that effect! 😂

Ive previously watched a video about this monster but your video was so much better! I hate these people that continue the abuse! I vowed that that would not happen with myself & my son. Abuse is a horrendous thing to live through & it really annoys me when people think it's ok to repeat the cycle on people they supposedly love! Another great video Emma.

I grew up with domestic violence. I married young and my husband was violent to me and of course he continued to assault me while i was pregnant. I left wen my baby sun became i did not want him to be in fear of my life like i was when my mother. My son i is very successful. He is married to a wonderful woman and he is such a kind man. He's grown into the man i allways hoped he would be.
I too despair the way women are blamed for the abuse against us-often by women.
You've done incredibly well despite going through some horrendous experiences. 😊
It totally burns me that the kids are with HIS parents. What an awful placement. They need a lifetime of therapy and so much love. Not another dysfunctional home.

That’s such a tragic thought! 😔 I’m a people pleaser & nester. I don’t like change & I’m extremely protective of the people I love. I can make excuses for even the cruelest of behaviours. How do we protect our children? We can’t choose their partners for them…not in my culture anyway! 😅
Any culture should be free to make decisions. I know thus isn't possible but take this away from religion. Think about you kids & their kids! There is charities that can help/give support! Life will be so much better! Be strong. Do it for you. I hope your OK sending positive light to you 🤍

Just putting it out there, his daughter likely didn't say he's crazy bc she knows what that means at 5, she said he is crazy bc she asked him why he hurt her mother and he said "Because I'm crazy." Horrific. My heart goes out to everyone impacted, especially the kids❤️
One thing i learned from you a long time ago. When i left an abusive partner, I was lost and didnt know how to find myself. *Dont let the bastard live rent free in your head* I forget exactly when I heard it but it made a difference.
as someone who lived more than half of childhood in domestic abuse I would like to say to any mum or dad who are thinking of leaving the marriage/relationship, PLEASE TRY! for the kids, don't use the excuse "child needs two parents", that is not true! i would rather be with just my mum earlier because i wouldn't have the trauma am dealing with at the moment. Leave the person that is abusing not for you but for your kids, for their future, for their happiness. I am sure that kid will be much happier sat on the mattress on the floor with you being goofy and laughing and creating memories than hiding in their room with an argument going on downstairs

This is so triggering, when I met my ex he lived with his family still and his dad was high level abusive. He would call me freaking out when his dad was being abusive and drunk and I felt sorry for him. Once we lived together he became his dad, drinking every single day til blackout abusive controlling manipulative just awful. I haven't dated since I managed to escape that nightmare. Poor Ana and her poor daughter they deserved so much better then this self absorbed broken man.
I’m so very sorry that you had to endure such a nightmare. I used to believe that a man who can cry about his childhood traumas would NEVER inflict that pain on others. We are our nature & nurture! What someone has done to work through their issues is so important to focus on.
I wish that I had taken my own advise in life.

If I could give any advice at all it would be that when you decide to leave, DON'T tell them,ever,don't let on at all. Do everything after leaving through a solicitor (legal Aid if necessary) . Don't call police unless you are leaving there and then and never going back,it will be worse after they leave otherwise, or if he's arrested Absolute horror story, poor girl, I ran with 4 children, 30 years later, I'm still single. It broke something. Get out at the first sign,especially with children involved. It's perpetuated....so very sad😔

Such a narcissist. How could he tell his daughter that he'd harmed her mother. For f****sake she was only five. How can someone be so malevolent as to kill someone because she wanted a divorce. If it wasn't for his behaviour she wouldn't have wanted to leave him.
So he gets a second key cut and he puts a camera on his daughter's I pad.
This type of individual makes me sick because all he ever thinks of is himself. He is the embodiment of his own father whom he endured abuse at as well as his mother, yet he's turned out just like him. Only worse because he's taken it one step further and murdered twice over.
I just hope Anna's daughter is safe somewhere.

I just watched a documentary about Sania Khan who left her abuser and he murdered her. So devastating ❤
I watched the trial for this online. I can only imagine it took the jury more time to put the kettle on than to determine if it was premeditated. Tired of seeing cases where entitled, immature, controlling 'men' decide to murder to solve their problems.
On average it takes 8 attempts to leave an abusive partner. Unbelievable!
Fourth time Lucky for me! Thank God I packed up and ran away from him after 7 years! ☺️👍❤️
I have so much pain for the victims but especially his mom. So many victims in this and the biggest victim is that poor child.

could you cover the case of Emily Jones, she was murdered in 2020 by a women with schizophrenia, i think you’d do a good job at telling Emily’s story as well as fairly explaining the perpetrators mental health
I've been diagnosed with Bipolar. Also a result of childhood trauma. I absolutely am a victim. HOWEVER its also my responsibility to learn and sort it. And if i hurt someone during a true manic episode I fully expect to be held accountable. It may explain behavior. But it never excuses it.
Parents who cause this damage to children and thus rob them of their future need to be prosecuted also!! If we held parents to account and they knew theyd also go to jail, maybe they'd take this stuff seriously.
This poor baby girl - i hope they have her jn therapy and are watching her and integrating this trauma so she doesn't develop the illness also.
It's ludicrous to me that she is with the people who created this.

Tony Montana was a looser. Literally. He lost everything. Everyone who loved him was driven off or ended up dead from his paranoia.
I’ve NEVER understood people who love this character as more than a well crafted morality tale. Writing & acting was excellent but the man is nothing but a junkie choosing drugs over love, friends, and family.
When I see a tshirt or someone doing an impression, my first thought is that they’ve never actually watched the movie. How can you worship or even admire him if you have?
It’s a bit like seeing Charles Manson tshirts. I want to approach & ask “do you want a race war? Do you know he was a coward hiding in a cupboard when caught? That he gave orders but didn’t go himself? Do you even know how many parents are dead become of him or why he did it? Do you believe his “family” was going to grow fairy wings in the desert?”
If someone DOES know & is wearing a shirt, I’m going to run the other direction. Tony Montana was fiction. A role intended to show the downfall of a drug dealer. But it’s just as much of a red flag.
The sentencing was postponed because the lawyer said they want to hire an expert to prepare Ali for prison. I couldn't, never heard something like that. It's absolutely no valid reason for postponing a sentencing hearing, especially not in the last moment when the family is emotionally and mentally prepared to give their victim impact statements. Unacceptable that the judge allow that nonsense imo. He makes even the sentencing all about him and his victimhood.
Screw that family. They raised a terrible son who thought it was okay to get frisky with a married woman.
