Nice look at the saw. Thanks. But for reinstalling the fan cover, you should find the start of the screw by hand. All three appear to seat into plastic and it won't take long to eat those threads with a driver.
Because hes the guru. Its incase as the motor stops turning it doesnt yank the pull cord tight against the housing, thus putting excessive wear or breaking out the pull cord. It's not needed personally but if you do this it might be a good idea. My 2 cents Also on some particular old saws it's a really good idea.
What chain and sprocket options are there for this saw. I like to only use the carbide chains. They make way more sense than the steel. You don't have to waste all that time sharpening them all the time and they last so much longer. If your just cutting a tree on seldom occasions then stick with steel. If you go through a chain a month, then get the carbide. I use the carbide on my pole saw too.
Would the ms 150 c e-m rear handle chainsaw, be good for smaller ground work on a farm? Looking for a light weight all day chainsaw for clearing small stuff in/near fence rows. It would be used a lot
The MS151T, very similar in build, is a nice saw in terms of size and weight but for the price, it's not built like Stihl's other pro saws. Also, be aware that most literature lists three things that just don't exist. One is an adjustable chain oiler. There is no adjustment. The Easy2start feature which Stihl advertises as reducing the pull required and its length does not do either and can't. It's not built like the easy start on other Stihl saws. It is only a spring in series with your pull and does very little to help you in any way. For $619 (2023) I find the build disappointing but at the same time, love the little thing for its size, weight and looks (tiny Stihl).
I have an MS151T and was disappointed with the amount of plastic. The body is plastic. The starter cover mounts by 3 screws only, into plastic. The engine itself has left and right magnesium (assuming) die castings, but these are small and within the plastic outer shell. They are not the actual shell like the MS200T or 201T front half.
There are several out there now but the 151 really needs a muffler mod to show what it can do. Without it, it would appear fairly stoggy next to the 201.
I just repaired the gas lines to a craftsman 16". Cleaned carb and put it all back together. Now iInotice the gas cap is leaking through the little breather hole. Why and can i fix this problem?
Saying "16 in craftsman" is no help in ID-ing the saw, for multiple reasons. Very likely there's a check valve there- has to be one somewhere to allow air into the tank as the fuel is used- that should only allow air in, not mix out. Some of them are called "duckbills". You might search along those lines, if you still have the saw.
+666mrjimbo ..Yea whats up with that..Arborist and Mechanic almost 40 years PRO sthil guy and I would never do that...especially since sthil has single paw on almost ALL saws now.... Yes saw this saw at the store yesterday for 498.oo dollars.. Father's day present to myself.
Jacques Blaque this is a professional saw, not a pussy saw- and only the bog dogs can handle, or even watch someone handle her- so go back to your little porch, puppy

why do you pull the start chord when you turn saws off?

They are good for carving wooden Owls
Is the bar and chain that comes with this interchangeable with the kombi pole saw attachment and if not is there one

Trying to choose between me 150 C-E and ms 201 C-E for removal of tree limbs ,and fence row clearing small woody stuff. What do you think?
Fau Q yes a lot of all day farm use. On Honey Locust Thorn trees, and a lot more. A lot of small stuff, including clearing fence rows
201 all day man. I own every top handle stihl makes, 150 is good but not as tough as a 201.

No

what size file for sharpening
Does the ms 150 C-E and the ms 150T have a metal power head body, or plastic?

Is it for sale ?
do you need a TICKET to by the saw in the UK
Why is everyone afraid of placing a
video with the 151TC-E against the
201T ? Can’t find one video of the
two compared.

WHY DO YOU PULL ON THE STARTER WHEN YOU SHUT DOWN YOUR SAWS? JUST CURIOUS

in most chainsaws the clutch drum keeps spinning when you stop the engine.. some are even noisy enough to interfere with the talk
Hetto kg?
DO YOU NEED A TICKET IN THE UK FOR THAT SAW
Will Rains You need CS 39.
Какой вес???????????????????????????¿????????¿¿¿
No better saw for limbing than this one, carry it on your hip and whip it out like a 6 shooter, "draw" !!!...
Not a great idea, running a 2-stroke indoors. Seems you don't want to focus on price tag of stihl-stuff. One reason why I avoid it.
Jacques Blaque you can run With the big dogs or stay on the porch
Good luck with characterizing that wee whimpering thing as a "big dog". And, you like monoxide-plus?
Jacques Blaque this is a professional saw, not a pussy saw- and only the bog dogs can handle, or even watch someone handle her- so go back to your little porch, puppy
Relax Jacky, that bench is in a big open, well ventilated shed. Rich has forgotten more chainsaw stuff than anyone commenting here knows
@@dennisthemenace57 Didn't ask you, massa, and note that you slid past the important part above.
