Hey J, just gottta say, I just built my first gaming PC a few days ago after nearly 1 year of saving/research and I wanted to thank you for being an incredible resource for component info, and other invaluable advice. Thank you for all that you do to help us noobies! ❤
Share u r rig specs!
Yeah what did you build I want to know
Well, I built mine a month and a half ago. Jay was a massive resource. And for all of you curious people, my specs are: i9-13900KS, MSI RTX 4080 Gaming X Trio, 32 GB G.Skill DDR5 @ 7200mhz, MSI Z790 GODLIKE, Seasonic Titanium 1000W PSU.
Nice
Same here. I built my first PC back in June of 2022 as a wedding present to myself. I couldn’t have done it without Jay’s videos.
Oh gosh, I think this is the first custom water build that's really been relatable and personally inspiring to me. I love the look of those hard fittings, and that frosted tubing. Thanks so much for sharing, Jay!
Glad you like it!
@@Jayztwocents
thx jay i'm so happy you are back with custom watercooling! many years ago when you were heavy into watercooling, i build the biggest pc ever with 2 waterloops Its on my channel
Its called T virus PC
I just did frosted tubing with mystic fog fluid. So much better than clear.
@@Jayztwocents just happy to see you building water cooled builds. That’s why I started watching you way back in the nzxt build days
@@Jayztwocents How does one go about with a video suggestion? My daughter wants me to build her a DnD Table with the Computer being a Dual Pump and Reservoir (more Colors) open Computer. Want the build to look like an Alchemy Table. How long or far can your run you're Tubing, how many reservoirs can you run or is this a matter of getting a beefier Pump?? How crazy can one get? I have 2 years to design this.
I really like how Phil chose to use the moment Jay sips his monster to transition into the epic montage. I can't tell you how many times I've taken a key sip of my caffeinated beverage right before convincing myself I was getting a ton of shit done it honestly feels like how the montage came out. 10/10 build and vlog
well said
15:28 Here are some fun facts about the PMMA tubing used in this build! PMMA stands for poly(methyl methacrylate), which is the polymer of methyl methacrylate, a derivative of acrylic acid. Jay, you were exactly right when you said that PMMA is just like "acrylic," because PMMA is the most common acrylic material! PMMA is also the material in "acrylic" windows for PC cases. Companies can process the material differently to get the frosted look instead of the transparent look. It is a relatively brittle material (hence why you cannot use the shears on it like PVC) and begins to melt at 105 C, and at 220 C, it is fully melted. At 105 C, it does not flow very well. This is because the PMMA molecules are entangled with one another, making it hard to move past one another. PMMA is stable up to approximately 200-250 C (your milage may vary). Corsair is definitely not synthesizing PMMA. They might buy PMMA and process it into tubing, but they might also just buy the manufactured tubing from another company.
Awesome build! It makes me want to do a custom loop on my next PC (many years in the future). Phil's montage was a work of art, as usual! Thank you guys for creating informative and entertaining content! This has been my favorite youtube channel for over a year.
Bro PMMA is a drug. You must be sheltered.
Very informative and interesting!
...Ethan Rose Good job, Professor! I thought that I was the only one obsessive enough to look up materials like that...🇺🇸 😎👍☕
@@JustThePR PMMA is also an engineering material. You must be spending your cash on the wrong things.
Excuse my ignorance, but if it's stable up to 250f, how does it start to melt at 105f? Thanks!
Phil with his editing and his beauty shots is the true Monster.
Way to make it look absolutely sick.
This was the best of both worlds. A great V-log and Phil's masterful editing. Did anyone else catch the split on the water block? Freaking awesome Phil. Keep up the great work.
I waas also quite impressed with the montage. At least until Phil started spinning the camera and made me feel sick.
love to see the Phil love in the comments. Man adds another layer to these videos
Seriously, props to Jay for the sick build and props to Phil for the great camera work, solid team effort
Editing and Camera work - Dude's a phuggin' BEAST!!!!
i could watch a 30min long phill montage of pc's with all the insane skills he has learned over the past year
keep up the amazing work
I'd like to see some more Phil content, when he filled in for Jay while in Taiwan I think he did a really good job. Obviously more anxious than normal being in the spotlight but he's a great character and a great part of the team.
I was like "did he say a film montage" or "Phil montage...Phil montage sounds better", then here is your comment!
Thank you for the longer format. It was also almost nice to see this sort of "old school" JTC vid style of doing everything by yourself (though Phil is def much better at camerawork lol). I appreciate all of this, especially letting us see you dealing with the irritations that pop up in these builds, makes the rest of us feel a bit better when we deal with it, knowing the "professionals" also hit these bumps in the road. Thank you for the content Jay & team, it is appreciated :)
get yourself I fix it!!!!
Thank you for the late night and the old school walkthrough! I had a great time watching you go through the struggles that all of us do when building in real time.
I am so gat damn happy to watch someone as established and knowledgable, get a few things backwards. Honestly, he could've cut out a couple of the mistakes and made himself look like a know it all, perfect smurf who can't take a wrong step.
Instead, he showed us how easy it is to overlook something, do it over, and then succeed with it. That's important: to double and triple check stuff like this, do it again and do it right, and then check it all again if you had to change something.
That's what so incredibly valuable here, his humility and transparency.
I wonder if Linus is as transparent with making mistakes or overlooking a detail.
But truly, just makes me feel good to know that, although everyone says "it's easy, anyone can put a pc together" that is isn't, and that the mistakes and do-overs, the trial and error, of my first (very basic) build, are definitely part and parcel of the process and I did not do a bad job or a slow job.
Because it did take longer than I was expecting for sure, most of my Saturday , like when I woke up around 8, til around 10.
I just wish I had put in some rgb fans or something. I might just buy individual led tape and plug it in if that's a possibility. I just want the inside of the case lit up a bit.
The struggle is real! We all have those moments and it's one of the reasons I love this channel. ❤
We love how your rig turned out! 🧡 The satin-titanium fittings were definitely the right choice - they genuinely liven up the build!
Facy seeing you snooping around Jay's personal build videos. Love your products, your FLT res /w D5 pump saved my mid tower build.
Please tell Jayz to show off your Torque Screwdriver. I love how I no longer overtighten or strip screws when I use mine.
You guys are the kings when it comes to custom water cooling. I tried your 360mm aio and it left much to be desired, it failed after a month and that was after a long and difficult install. Oh well
@@gmualum08 Some people should just stick to prebuilds.
@@wethepeople3670 Yeah I have one of their 360mm AIOs and I've had zero issues over the past few years with it
I LOVE the frosted glass look on the tubes. It just looks sleek and modern.
Yeah im looking for those in 16 mm
Genuinely loved the realism in this build and video! Never felt more relatable and just a fun video to watch. You’re videos are always one of the highlights of my day, keep up the awesome work, all the content is awesome
incredible build, its cool to see the evolutions of your personal builds they keep getting cleaner and cleaner. I like the minimal amount of tubing used for it.
Turns out to be one of your cleanest and dopest build ever. I also would like to point out Jay's dedication to put through this build, 💯 percent man!
I appreciate that
Jay and iFixit, the only ad spot I don't skip because it's hillarious. :)
I enjoy watching your builds. Never done a custom loop myself, though used many AIOs. Some day perhaps.
I was going to comment this too.. it's absolute gold.
It's all about the minow 😊😊😊
@@christophermullins7163 Even my very non-techy gf thinks it's funny. :D
It’s not hard. It takes lots of money and just some planning. You’ll waste tubes and if you live near a microcenter you’ll be running there a lot for odds and ends you didn’t foresee. The worst part which no one talks about is having to drain and disassemble your entire loop to get to a ram slot or nvme drive. If you tinker a lot or upgrade nvme drives it gets old quick. Soft tubing is a little more forgiving in this department. Last year I got tired of having to tear my whole build down that I went back to aio. Now I’m ready to build a loop, just waiting for my 4090 to arrive. Then in a year I’m sure I’ll get tired and switch back to aio. It’s a cycle, and a labor of love.
While I do agree I think it's time to update the commercial. Especially since the inventory problem doesn't exist anymore. That said, when I went to repair the Joy Cons on my Switch I spent the extra $ on the iFixIt stuff to support their sponsorship of JTC.
@@michaelv1984 I've wanted to do my own water cooled system for over 20 years and finally did one 1.5 years ago and went soft tubing. It's definitely easier though not as pretty as hard tubing but what you said about making numerous runs for parts still stands true! I live in Montana so there's no chance of getting PC components in a timely manner so it took a few weeks of ordering various new fittings and routing things differently.
Love this build so much, the fittings, fluid color and RBG work so well together (not to mention how clean the pipes are)! Well done!
Hey Jay. Loved following this build and I definitely appreciated the long form factor format on stuff like this. Hope the build is all you hoped it would be!
Just want to say that while this was a very long video, I appreciated all of it. Hearing your thought process, seeing issues you run into, how you fix them, and of course the money shot at the end is all good. it'll be a while before I water cool my system, but I love the inspiration you give me.
Last time I was this early I got to work 5 minutes before they opened the door...
Bonus points if you've done this but you're the one that opens the store
Last time I was this early my wife called me premature....
Damnit... Can't be the guy to ruin the like count....
Sorry someone else can do it, I'll add a like after.....
One of the coolest builds I've seen you build so far, the dedication you showed in the video was amazing! Good job Jay. Looking to create my first ever custom loop build in the near future. 100% gonna take inspiration from you
I hope Jay get's around to creating some more custom cases. I loved those! Seeing him mod his PC case in various ways was really awesome. Oh and I love the build!
you're right Jay, we do love these long videos, especially because they show all the challenges involved with such a high class build! makes me wanna go back to water cooling but i had to change it up for a while. someday ill go back...
I LOVE the subtle details of the water block designs and that they're cohesive with the design of the SL120 v2. Nice touch man!!
I will say that this is probably my favorite video you guys have made. I love getting to see all the troubleshooting and problems happen rather than skipping over them like a lot of videos do.
This is an amazing build. Thanks so much for the longer/build related content. It is awesome to see the process
The whole thing looks amazing. I especially love the case and brushed metal look of the front. I might never build something this complex so its amazing to see it all come together.
Beautiful build, Jay! I very much enjoyed the whole video and appreciate everything you went over. Especially as someone who hopes to do a water cooled build someday. Also, Phil, the montage was TOP TIER!!
Great use of the adaptors, it looked as if it was originally going to be an utter nightmare to run tubes but it came out clean AF. Loved the old school deep dive into making a custom rig, you learn much more by seeing all the problems that arise when building a system so complex and your solutions were great. This is a sick looking system 10/10.
man, I love the dedication and work that jay puts into his videos. the long format videos are amazing too! i love sitting down, opening my computer and going to youtube, and watching a new jayztwocents vid for a half hour... lol. keep doing what you do!
There's something about a water cooled build that's so unbelievably stressful, and yet, so undeniably awesome and rewarding. Sick build, Jay! As always, Phil's montage is bad ass, too!
Thanks for taking the 36 hours to sharing this build with us. I enjoy these long form videos that show us your thoughts, struggles, and triumphs during the process. Phil’s montages are the end are that icing on the cake. Keep them coming, but please get some sleep between now and then 😊
This pc looks absolutely beautiful! So clean! I wish I had the money laying around to have someone do a build like this for me, but alas.. living vicariouslyt through you will have to do!
I've been watching your channel for years, and after being a budget builder for a long time I finally made my first water cooled build this year, and I did it with hardline. Thanks for the knowledge and inspiration.
man this is such a nice built; Love the colours!
We've all been there going deep into the night when we really should just hit the hay. Build looks great, I really love those frosted tubes. If I ever decide to convert my build from soft to hard tubing, they're what I would use. Phil's montage was spectacular
Looks so clean, Love it!
Holy hell, that is more than beautiful, i don't think i have ever seen a build this clean and well done. Great work! Thanks for sharing :)
this makes me really want to do a custom loop! still need to build the pc first (have it specced out but i have a thing for work where i'm gonna be away from my regular space for enough that i'd rather wait until I get back to build it) and make sure i'm comfortable with building and troubleshooting before i deep dive into the world of custom loops. love the frosted tubes!
ahhhhh!!! you did it!!! shame the bottom distro plate dont have more outlets but its clean without a tonne of blank plugs. love your vids especially your water cooling ones, just built my first budget pc matx shortly after christmas and soo excited to do a custom water loop eventually, sadly sourcing parts in uk is not so easily available or just expensive. can we get a dual loop build in the future? keep at it jay
Jay that build is a very beautiful crafted build from the amount of lighting it gives off with the bottom “fancy plate” to the frosted tubing the fittings you used we can call this build “Patience”. Because patience was really a beauty. Hopefully the fluid don’t clog and the overall performance is what you are looking for but man amazing build.
I feel this video. Some of my best work in college was done under similar circumstances. Something about the wee hours of the morning and the world being quiet really helps productivity and mental release. Cheers Jay! Another beautiful box!
Can't fix that with I fix it🤣🤣🤣
I love pc passion projects, which this is. Really cool build.
What keeps me from going custom loop is the amount of maintenance such a build needs. Want to change or upgrade something? Drain the fluid. Something is failing? Drain the fluid first. But if you go down the rabbit hole of custom loops one time, you probably don't wanna go back. 😊
Amazing build, looks amazing, I have learned a lot from your channel, I found your channel 5 or 6 years ago and now last year I built my first PC build with a friend and love it
Same here dude. Ive been a console gamer since the N64 and all my friends switched to PC around when the 1080ti came out and I finally broke down last year and fully built me a PC and I got a 3070ti, intel i7 11700f 32gb ram and a 750 watt power supply and haven't touched my PS5 or Series X since lol
Epic build, thanks for sharing. Your videos got me into building my own Gaming PCs and now I feel like doing my first water cooled build. Thanks Jay!
Wow I love the build I like the reservoir at the bottom rather than having long pipes running alone the case it really opens it up and lets the lights flow through the case.
I have never gone water cooled but this idea may actually make me want to give it a go.
Awesome vid thank you for bringing us along for the build.
I love how corasair has convinced everyone they have special materials buy marketing PMMA by its generic name rather than calling it acrylic. Love the longer videos and I think the build turned out pretty nice. I sill want you guys to do more mod and customization with 3d printing. Maybe one day.
Came here to say this 😂
I think I remember a video from Jay from very long time ago, where he exactly states, that PMMA is the same as acrylic. Jumping on that marketing train fells kinda odd to me.
I did a double take on that one and actually had to check if I was completely misremembering my plastics :D
i dont know how, but Jay's watercooling builds are so relaxing, everything jsut fits perfectly, and its the whole reason i tried doing water cooling, but no its not that easyits very stressful and takes a lot of time, makes you respect how he does with ease
edit: dammit i spoke too soon i was halfway into the video then something happened lmao
I find bending tubes very relaxing maybe its because I always get way more tubing than i need. That first leak test is the worst though. That air pump Jay used looks promising.
Beautiful build Jay, it's a credit to you. Thanks for all the great content and enjoy the new system 👍
What a great looking personal rig. I love both the long Vlog and Phill's montages. Keep these types of videos coming.

Fastest CPU on the planet! Very nice build jay.. you the man. 13900ks performance using half the power. Big flex from AMD on this setup. Looking to upgrade 5600 to 5800x3d
Jay you are a true wealth of knowledge. You have single handedly taught me somehow to build my very first computer. There are something Ill have to rearrange and tweak (personal part choice issue cooler blocks my pcie slot lol) but I have my first ever gaming rig up and running on it's integrated graphics at home with updated bios and everything finally and it's been awesome watching all of your vids and learning so much along the way. Thanks for everything man.
Very sleek and awesome build. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Everything is spaced out nice and all the lines are perfect.
Super build and doesn't over complicated with bends etc. I really enjoyed this series, thank you. 🙂
This build really came together nicely.
Sick montage by Phil, too.
Great stuff!
That's the thing I love about Jay, is he makes all the same dumb mistakes we all do, and he's not shy about admitting it. Difference is, he knows how to recover from them, and he's funny while doing it.
One of the best videos iv seen in awhile. The vlog style then finishing it out with Phills amazing talent 👏 well done guys I throughly enjoyed it!
Absolutely love this style and length of video! The final build is great!
Brilliant vid Jay! Loved the long slow format and completed perfectly by an outstanding Phil montage at the end. Definitely the best montage in my opinion and one of your best builds! Many thanks from us in your community for the great content.
Nicely done and appreciate your hard work! Looks amazing and love the fittings quality.
Loved this... was good even though you were tired!! That system is gorgeous!! Phil's skill's give me the chill's!!!! Cudo's to all!! Enjoy that rig now man!!!
incredible build Jay! It really looks fantastic! I hope you had a good rest after this!
Glad to see someone who's as into watercooling as you finally show of a leak tester!
As a budget concious watercooler (yeah I know, it doesn't really work) that is the most *vital* piece of equipment you can get.
It allowed me to buy used hardware and check every component by itself, then test the whole loop. Had a slight leak on the CPU block, that would definitely screw up my day.
This is one of your best recent videos. I love this stuff. Good old Jay doing what Jay does best. This kind of video brought me to your channel with the old Skunkworks with the 4790k and it's kept me around for a long time. Please keep making these vids Jay ... and get some sleep! Thanks for the great content!
Ive built somewhat standard PC's before (with your channel as help lol) But a few weeks ago I finally went ahead and built my current PC which was far more expensive than anything before, painted parts custom sleeves and modded my case all with your help! I even got an Ifixit kit and wow I use it a lot. Just wanted to say thank you for all your insanely helpful content that never fails to make me smile :)
Great video the water block instruction is invaluable. These types of builds really help me with my own builds which I will start this year
I’m 44 and have never done a full water cooled build. I need to remedy this, and soon! Thanks for this vid, Jay. Very helpful! 🖖😀
Loved the video style Jay of just you and the camera, would love to see more like this in future.

Thats a realy clean and nice build Jay. and the color sceme is just amazing. nice work :D
I loved how Phil used the shape of the fitting to cut to the next shot. God of montages
Wow ..just love the look of that beast..amazing job
Very nice build and nicely done. I took a lot of notes from that and might steal some Ideas :D
Wish you all the best!
I love this build!! Hope we get to see your desk setup next!
I love this style of video from you, I want to upgrade to a full loop this year and it would be my first ever. I have a ton a research to do for it but learning the little tricks is sweet. I hate when videos are just movie magic and bam its all done! 😆
This is one of the most attractive builds o have ever seen. I would love to do a build that looks like this one some day. When I get a better job and money, I may just have to copy this. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Jay!
Videos where you encounter problems are the best. We can then see your solutions to help if we have the same or similar problem.
Love the Phil Montage, it’s always a treat when we get those with a build. Keep up the great content. This whole video was exactly what I needed today 😊
I hope to one day build myself a watercooled pc. It looks like so much fun but also nerve wrecking lol. Beautiful build, Thanks for the great content Jay, Phil and Nick. You guys rock 👍
I am crying this is such a beautiful build 😥 well done Jay absolutely magnificent.
I would to have you make me an exact or similar build just because of how clean it turned out, well done man!
Absolutely beautiful and amazing build. Keep it coming Jay
I really enjoyed following along. This is super clean!
Hi J ... thank you so much for the post about the updates to your build. It's beautiful. I, too, heard the rain this last week (I live in SoCal), working late on my build. You just had to show those EKWB fittings. They look mighty sweet! I might have to put the final completion of mine on hold until I get my hand on some of those. They're going like hotcakes! Just a note (yes, you were punch drunk, lol)..., 'friction loss' would be a more accurate description of the resistance in the water flow vs. 'back pressure.' It increases with all fittings, especially when you incorporate turns using 90s. Again, very beautiful, and thanks for the longer, 'old school' format. Much appreciated! 😉👍
Dude this is beautiful omg! IT'S A DREAM! Congrats! So happy for you!
i've been searching for those bits everywhere and i couldn't find the video where u talked about them last. thanks a ton for help on that. i'm slowly working on my loop. working up the courage to put a block on my 7900xtx..
Glad you got it done, man! Looks great! Needs the JTC logo on the front!
Most beautiful built i have seen on a channel. Well done J.
Fun fact : I used to work for a Dental Lab doing cad/cam work designing crowns and bridges. A lot of temporary crowns, bridges and dentures are made out of PMMA these days. It's the cleanest/best looking material that is strong enough for day to day use before the finished porcelain product is finished. Never seen it used outside of the dental industry! Long time fan, keep up the cool builds!
I need to watch more Jayz!! Gorgeous build!!
Perfect! Kudos to the Builder.
Dude the format to this one took me back to the old days of youtube to the more home brew production, then BAM 2023. Great video.
I've been using mystic fog for about a year, and I haven't had any gunk build up. I really like how it spreads LED light out!
Gorgeous build, dude. It was a pleasure to watch too.
This is one of my favourite videos for a Long time! Just felt so personal!
Wish I had your knowledge. I'm tired of prebuilts. Congratz on the build. Looks great! 😎👍
These videos never get old. Your channel and a couple others taught me how to build my own PC back in 2016. I built another one in 2017. Was awesome info then, and still awesome information. Glad to see how far the channel has come. 2016 feels like forever ago. I still have both PC, and still use the 2017 one everyday. I want to upgrade it to maybe a Ryzen 7950x, with an Asus Z670E-E and a kick butt graphics card, a Corsair LCD XT cooler and some Corsair ram.
I recently updated the 1060 that was in it to a GTX 3060 as well as an ultra wide monitor and changed everything over to a Hyte y60 case. But for being a i7-7700k with an Asus z270 gaming, it’s still fast and I can play everything in Ultra. Without you guys, I would still be dreaming. Just wish I had the funds to upgrade to my dream build. Next thing I want to upgrade to is the AIO, mine is a H115i from 2017, not sure how much life it has left in it.
Out of all the builds you’ve done, this is one of my top 3 favs. I love the way it turned out. Outside of being an open chamber case, for some reason I just like the ‘sealed’ style, but this mostly hides the fact that it’s open. The colors go amazing together. I love it. I did chuckle that you complained about the radiator end caps and the color because as a custom pc builder who does modeling and modifies cases… you’re telling me you couldn’t color match that using paint!?! Again, a little chuckle. But I do love the way it looks. This is super awesome. And also… this might be one of the quickest ‘planning to finished’ builds you’ve done…. Maybe lack of sleep is good here and there!
The new rig looks great and really enjoyed the long format video :) Phils montages are always awesome !
