Man I just love these builds because you film the issues if they show up and everything isnât flawless. Makes it more fun to watch but also learn something along the way.
I do have a question about the water cooling wood thing, is that custom made? Iâm looking to learn about water cooling. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! I always like leaving my mistakes in the video because it allows people to learn from them. As they say...'You learn from your mistakes, not your sucess'
As far as the wood thing, yes thats custom made by me. I bought a wood plank from Home Depot and cut 2 smaller pieces of wood to form a right angle and just nailed them to the bigger board. You can buy a bending kit tho if thats easier, however I dont like those since they arent 100% accurate as my custom board. Hope that helps!
Thatâs the thing I love about this channel. I have subscribed to many tech channels, and believe me this has happened a lot of times that I have many videos of same product from different channels but whatever it is, I always watch techsource first.
@@TechSource i donât get why youâve labelled this frost but went for a 5000x instead of a 5000d.
@@footyfanboy6233 Because 5000X aesthetically looks better with that glass front.
Wow crazy build, do get these things from sponsors? If so then you are lucky, wish I had that moneyđ
i would say this will help global warming. It has a 4090

He'll has to go EKWB though.
Optimus waterblock vertically mounted!
been building for 5 years now and can say channels like yours taught me everything i know and boy those cd keys have completed every single build
i honestly would love to see a follow up video soon if you ever get that msi gpu waterblock to see just how better it is with full loop!
Your videos are awesome man, youâre the reason i got into pcâs.
Totally! Same here
I've already done running and keeping up on watching all setup wars videos and some others on this channel since last year but this is the only vid that made me hit that subscribe button. Love that reaction when Ed was about to slap that GPU and ended up adjusting again to remove the tank. Very genuine. Haha
This video is awesome and it has everything I enjoy with your channel. A computer build, vlog-style, time-lapse and you explaining why you picked why you picked those components!
Great work, Ed đ. Happy new year.
The GPU does take a little bit of the umpf out, but it still looks awesome! Love the color theme and how the custom loop turned out. Great job!
Love a Corsair build. Currently got a 360mm AIO, RM1000X and a 3090FE to go in a 5000D case. Love the build, keep it up Ed!
Also, congrats on your newest arrival to the family!
Thanks,she is doing great !
How do you get a founders edition gpu??
All of them are out of stalk
Got lucky mate. Bought a new 1 2nd hand. Guy was an oil rig worker and was away for 6 months, he had it sitting but bought a 4090 when he got back.
they way you handled everything with this pc is nothing short of amazing dude good job
Nice video man! I love the part of filling the res with coolant and seeing the tubes and waterblocks fill.
Personally i prefer a half watercooled build over a fully watercooled pc
And finally i found a video where someone is doing it. Thanks im planing on doing something similar
Love the build its truly amazing but I was wondering how do you make the wires from cans fans and aio cords look good im currently struggling to make them less noticeable
As you can see the less it is shown the better the pc looks like. And if the cable have the same colors as the pc case just don't let the cable be across the the build and instead let it travel close to the background of the pc case
Know what I really like about this video? The mistakes and problems. A lot of times, on other channels, their builds go smooth as silk with zero hiccups. I feel like this is so far from the reality of building your own pc. I have been building pcs for at least 20 years and EVERY time there is some sort of mistake I make or a part that doesn't fit right because the manufacturer goofed up somehow. Every time I watch Ed's videos about building, he reminds me of the way it is supposed to go. His builds turn out terrific and that is why he is so successful - relatability, that is the key. Well done my man!
That build was absolutely insane! I just hope that one day I'll have enough money to be able to afford something like this.
I would also move the radiator above the frame if you can. That should make room to route the EPS cables behind the fans. (I couldn't add this to my previous comment because of the Amazon link.)
Iâve been waiting for this build⊠and not surprised you were the one to do it! đ±đ„
Supper fan of yours, it inspired me to start building my very first own gaming PC, and im kinda going for this build.
Best Tech Channel On CZcams Keep up the good work!
Hi ED! Nice video as always. I had the same issue with PSU cables but with 5000D. I believe that these towers was made for different mobos with 24-pin connector layed down on the right not facing upwards if you get what I mean. Also 90degree adapter is not an option which I have tried already. If it bothers so much then have to remove that cover and just add 3x extra fans on he side so the cable isn't bent so much.
Ah good point!
this is why youre my favorite tech guy on youtube i love that you have all the links in the discription i planned to liquid cool my pc istead of a cpu water cooler this is my inspiration to make my pc fit me.
Really interactive pc build in yt I watch so far!
8:58 Thank you for speaking out about this Ed, I was building my first ever PC yesterday following your full step by step guide. This part of plugging the motherboard cable was SO DAMN ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATING, because the design of the case is small, the motherboard cable that came with Corsair power supply is too fat to fit in that hole. I had been working on my pc for a couple of hours. I simply had to stop with the build cause I was gonna break something. Gonna try again later tonight. But please Corsair FFS change that dumbass design of the holes for cables, just do a regular square cutout like other PC's do.
couldnt agree more!
I LOVE SETUP WARS, my entire setup is inspired by some of the submissions on the show. Also, I am thinking of submitting my setup to Setup Wars!
nice bro id love to see it
I love your Channel I have learnt so much from Just watching the channel hopefully soon Iâll be able to build a pc and a setup to compliment it but all in all your my favorite CZcamsr
Iâve been watching your PC builds and they have been informative and entertaining! Edgar your tutorials are so valuable to a beginner like myself. I enjoy all your content and youâve inspired me to create my own setup. I will be setting up a Eureka RGB desk, Samsung 49â ultrawide curve monitor to game on with a PS5. Now after watching your PC builds Iâm considering building my own gaming PC to get the most out of my monitor and gaming experience. Thanks Edgar for all the excellent content! I will try to post my setup to have you rate it and offer my some suggestions.
i think if you put the pump combo on the middle fan with the bracket raised enough to clear the 4090, the intakes and outtake of the pump could've been ran above the gpu, and still look pleasing to the eyes, if im wrong let me know!
I thought exactly the same. That would also clear the GPU from tubes running in front of it, allowing for swap / removal without dismantling the loop
I love this build, but I feel like painting the gpu would have made a huge difference to the pcâs looks, either way this pc is awesome, and I love the consistent high quality videos you have been putting out lately! đ„
This build is dope. Love the cleanness of the tubing
Love the build keep it up my guy!, maybe one day i can build my own
Why couldn't you mount the pump at the second fan??
This couldve been so much better with a different case
I love how you added a Minecraft chest opening sound effect when opening the box of the rtx 4090
I may have gone for a white liquid and clear tube but what you have done looks bloody awesome too
Ed you couldâve just took the bracket for the pump off of the bottom fan then cut the top half of the bracket, leaving only the two parts of the bracket for holding the pump. Then all you needed was just 3M tape to stick it to the bottom of the case. đ
That would have been a good idea but as I said I didnt want to poke holes or do any modding.
@@TechSource My bad, I didn't catch that part in the video! Keep up the good work and have a nice new year my bro :)

Cleaner than my soul. What a build. Happy new year ed!
bro i love your videos ive been watching u for about 3 years now u have inspired me into PC's keep up the good work bro :)
Having built in the 5000D, I knew right away I was gonna be using 10 fans: 6 intake, 4 exhaust, for positive pressure. I took off that cable shield. It made so much of a difference with cable management and getting cables plugged into my Dark Hero. Plus the case looked nicer with those 3 extra fans.
love the pc and the theme i rly wish i had the money to do things like this, keep up the good work.
I swear Edgar you are a GOD when it comes to PC building and PC desk SET UPS - stating that this PC is not at your liking is hilarious. But this is why your the BEST - your HIGH Standards and imaginations is crazy! AS ALWAYS THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDOE AND CANT WAIT TO SEE MORE!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEARS TO YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY - BE SAFE AND STAY WARM!!!!
Appreciate the feedback. Happy new years bro!
Siq, looking forward to the video where the water block gets added, that'll free up a ton of space. HAPPY NEW YEAR đ„łđđđ€đđ€
Great video! Iâd love a full tutorial on how you do the tubes/bends etc. Iâve build a new PC but Iâm too scored to do a water loop
i love your vids they have helped me so much with learing how to build
Just an idea, maybe you could 3D print a bracket to hold the pump on the floor of the case where you said there is clearance. The fans wouldn't be sacrificed, and the mesh filter can stay in order to preserve the airflow.
I had a Desktop that caught fire- it was i912th gent with 3080ti- I miss it haha But I game on laptop connected to external display now!! I am thinking to do new build in 2023- Learned a lot from you!! Thanks for awesome content!
Your videos keep getting better and better love your videos.
Personally I agree with you on the GPU being the Eye sore here, just isn't the same without the waterblock (Plus the cooling looking insane) . One thing I would have done is remove the bracket for the pump and stuck it to the bottom of the case (the pump alone). Another small change is the top fans on the radiator, I would move them to the top of the case (if possible) for the EPS cable to look clean. But overall love the build keep up the good work Ed!đ
If it wasnât for your vids I would have never gotten into pc building. Iâm so glad I started watching
The frost Build V1 was where i fell in love with all white builds!
Thanks ED!đ
This is definitely my dream build! Beautiful build Ed!
Love your work! It's awsome like always!
I think you could possibly remove the panel on the side and install the radiator with the pump there instead. That will also help your beautiful cable show in a better form. Then bring the fans from the front panel back inside so you can have the mesh filter on it. At the end, install 3 more fans on the top so to keep the hot air out. Hope the information makes sense since English is not my first language. Btw, I love watching all your videos and keep up the good work!
What a beautiful work of art! Awesome build!
Man I love your videos!!! But one thing I noticed with this build is that the panel that was annoying you ...the one that covers the grommets...its removable and you are also able to install intake fans there also. I buddy of mine has a 5000x and remember seeing it on his set up that way. Keep up these amazing builds and may 2023 be a prosperous and enjoyable year for you brotha!!!
Hey Ed! So I built a PC for a friend of mine with the same case. Im pretty sure you could take off the back plate that's making the 24 pin bend like that. You could fit 3 more case fans or a rad in there after removing it. Just an idea! Loved the video, amazing looking build. â€
Beautiful pc love the build, I'm still saving to buy the parts for my first pc
Great Vid, the build turned out choice! I too had trouble bending the custom 24 pin cable through that tiny dang! gap. I was doubting the cable thickness/quality... Happy yet sad it is a case design issue lol. Cheers - Jass.
Iâve been wanting a pc for so long and Iâve been trying to find a job and wow this is one sick pc legit my dream pc, what a CLEAN behind build!
Looks insane! Great work!
I uv my 5000D, goregeos case, good airflow and very easy to cable manage. Like you, that shroud covering the 24 pin cable pissed me off to no end. To make matters worse, its a pain in the ass to take off/put back on. Aside from that, still like the case.
super clean build loved it â€
You earned yourself a new sub.Frost build looks great btw. Coulda removed cable management hider so you have access to the fans. Either way it looks good đ
Thank u for sharing this videoâ€
Nice Corsair build Ed! Love the blue and white theme
another really cool build from you man! But I have a question, does mounting the pump on that lower fan have any effect on the GPU temps since it is aircooled and that fan is the most responsible for that cold ait intake on the graphics card?
awesome build manđŻ
This build is insane. I hope sometime in the years you will make me a setup makeover I really need one.đ€
I want to build this but I donât want to have the same problem as you. Would the Geforce RTX 4090 Nividia gpu work? Is it compatible with the motherboard?
btw I got one of your mousepads and omg its just so clean and it has the perfect stitching.
Ed I just wanted to ask where you found the longer 90 degree fittings that comes out of the pump and the fitting that came out of the cpu block.
Love the video though!
i can appreciate when ppl trick out their cars or 18wheeler truck or their pc to have a certain theme which turns it into a showpiece
but i like mine to be a black nondescript impenetrable monolithic slab of eldritch technology; to me its just 'the box' that stays hidden under the desk.
however
rgb all the things on top of the desk that im actually looking at and using :D
I have already decided that my future gaming pc will go with mostly white components so seeing this monstrosity of a build helps me gain some confidence. I still haven't start saving up yet but i hope i do soon. Thanks for your pc builds tech source! Wish i had the money for my own, im still in the dreaming stage of PCMR.
Great vid as always
Great videos as always tech, keep it up
i bought a gigabyte 4080 eagle oc and the 500ql also, cant wait to finish my build , love the video, the white look so sexc dude
Agree completely about seeing the full process, particularly the actual tight fits and required design trade-offs. Too bad about the angled cables - not something that you can plan for in advance. Maybe take out the Corsair back metal piece OR mod it to allow the 24-pin to feed straight? For v4, certainly get the 4090 a white H2O block and mount it vertically - makes for great runs đ.
Thanks for the idea of the power supply,
Wow, this was 1 of the cases I was actually considering... SO glad I went with NZXT H7 Flow
Awesome build bro, as always clean and so fun to watch, i'm wondering if i want to start building setups, and these kick ass pc's, where can i start?
Great one keep doing the Best FTW!
White sleeve all the pump cables build looks awesome though!
This builds looks obsoletely beautiful! This is defiantly something I would have to save up for some how, probably just downgrade it to a 3090/3080 so I could get a full loop and fit the fans in for extra intake. I'm stuck with a NZXT PC for a while which is extremally empty inside and does not fit my aesthetic at allđ. But your build looks amazing and cant wait to see the next versions of the frost over time!
Wow this pc looks amazing keep it up!
you can put the rad "outside" the case to have more space inside. how it would look from the side Dustfilter - > Radiator -> top of case -> fans.
Nice Video, love your content. Question: If fan face sucks, I'm not understanding the direction of air flow in the radiator and other fans, as it should be in the 4 in - 3 out combination. Please explain if radiator is sucking the air in, are the other fans pushing the air out or in ?
Love the Minecraft chest sound when 4090 was opening
Honest builders are a joy to watch without hiding just showing how we can all get caught out.
@9:25 you can take out that metal guard that your route the cables behind. The screws are behind the cable straps
Finalllyyyyyyy someone using xmp ddr5 Corsair ram I just bought that motherboard and same ram but was worried that the new am5 motherboard would have a problem with the xmp ddr5 ram!! And I wish u posted this yesterday before I returned my other 2 sticks of ram lol
You could use runs to lower the pump holder and keep the fans internal.

Just affix the pump mount to the steel/aluminium runs. You can probably buy them somewhere, but I'd cut up an old piece of kit you've got lying around.
Yo TechSource! for the problem with the watercooler reservoir being too close too the gpu, you coulda moved your gpu down to the bottom two slots for it and put the reservoir slide panel on the second fan and that would fit!
Perfecto, surprised you didn't shove the iCue LC100s in there to spice it up!
u should get one of those screen things so u can cover up the front and put a nice like winter gif on it and take the last fan off
don't we all love a portion of techsource after school or work
What screwdrivers were those? They look great. Awesome job as always on this build. Would you use the case again knowing what you know now? Def seemed kinda difficult to work in.
