It is possible. I think a folding monitor that has transparent mounting would be more 'invisible' because in day time this has a clear screen you would obviously see, not to mention the nylon fishing line holding it. With something that folds away, its just a clean desk until you use it, and when you use it, in theory the only thing you could see would be the monitor and desk, day or night - that and the visual experience would be far superior to this setup which looks like it would burn your retinas in a few minutes.

This is without doubt number 1 cleanest/invisiblest setup so far. Can you please share depth sensor mouse code or tutorial as how can we use depth sensor as mouse (no coding expert here)
Can we just appriciate that this fella said that the video better get 2M views, and its actually got 2M views. He did 2 impossible things: he made a setup so clean it was invisible, and he predicted the amount of views the video would get. Truly a master of the impossible
This looks like something out of a Sci-fi film. I'm not sure if I've been this impressed by a pc build before, all I can really think to say is congratulations, this is an amazing piece of work!
It looks really cool but if we're being realistic, the mouse and keyboard must feel terrible and there's basically no black on his transparent screen, which must be terrible looking. After some years though, if some engineers team up it could actually be ultra cool.
@@witha1nah that keyboard probably feels terrible to use and the screen looks like shit. Fun engineering challenge and a cool video but completely impractical
@@witha1 The screen is also tilted at a weird angle to get a good projection from the reflector and the image is terrible. If you had to read a spreadsheet on that screen you would be blind in 5 minutes. But I think there is a real market for something scaled back a bit. Its these types of projects that really push the margins of peoples imaginations and what manufacturers are willing to build.
Bam! Take that Linus - the ultimate clean build. That floating monitor panel was such a cool touch - would you need a higher power short-throw projector to get it to work in normal room lighting?
This is truly amazing and a ton of hard work. The concept in the structures, the locations, adding extra fans, applying a mirror from the projector to a nano film, hanging from the ceiling, etc, etc. Please don't see my questions as taking away from your supreme future-in-action creation. 1a. What was the limiting factor in the size of the screen? Or, why did you choose this screen size? 1b. It seems to be about 25", but could it have been 30", 50", 100"? 2. Was it less viable to have a much larger nano foam screen on the wall? Similarly, there seems to be a much fainter, second projection of your screen onto the wall. Is that real or a camera effect? 3. Lastly, if you want to move your desk to a different location -- in this room or another room -- do you have to unmount and remount the 2lb lines to match the very precise angle of the projector+mirror setup? Honestly, any answer above does not diminish the purity of this scifi in real life configuration.
Yea I want a closer look at how well it all works too. Like how well can you actually see that screen? Also how much latency is there with that mouse? Don't get me wrong, its amazing id just like a closer look as well.
Touchpad seems like the obvious answer to me too. Especially if anyone ever decided to mass produce something like this, I think a touchpad would be far more viable.
I rarely like videos on youtube, but it I could like this a million times, I would. The amount of work that must’ve gone into this setup is absolutely insane. You’ve made something that most would consider is the future, and a distant one that is. ”Good job” doesn’t even begin to cover it, but good freaking job man!
Literally got goosebumps as you explained how the invisible monitor worked. It's such a clever solution to what at first appears to be an impossible challenge. Very cool.
The latency on that mouse insane lmao but as a concept this setup is stunning. It's something straight out of science fiction. Also, I would die for that "monitor" for a non-gaming setup.
Yeah picture quality leaves much to be desired. And I still don’t really understand the keyboard so maybe hard to use. A lot of compromises but holy shit the mad lad did it

LTT can eat grass.
@@dranide Linus Tech Tips can in fact eat grass, not sure he'd want to though.

I've been seeing lots of videos about people making stuff "invisible" and it was always just making stuff easily hideable. But you actually delivered. Holy fuck, amazing job!
Just Amazing bro❤
This is without doubt number 1 cleanest/invisiblest setup so far.
Can you please share depth sensor mouse code or tutorial as how can we use depth sensor as mouse (no coding expert here)
This is by far the most futuristic setup ever made, the final product is mind blowing. Who would have thought this was actually possible.
Nicolas Tesla would be proud
@@mrwhiteeyes0014does bro mean Nikola Tesla?
@@oscartuxnah, he's talking about Nicolas, his twin brother
@@oscartuxnah bro he's talking some alien shit
Can we just appriciate that this fella said that the video better get 2M views, and its actually got 2M views. He did 2 impossible things: he made a setup so clean it was invisible, and he predicted the amount of views the video would get.
Truly a master of the impossible
He said that and I had to check the view counter. LOL
When humans get really creative, "impossible" becomes a mere suggestion.
The old "can we just appreciate.." comment (but spelled wrong). Jesus....enough of this lame comment formula! Its just embarrassing!
@@avidadolares woah, someone is triggered over pixels on a screen.
@@OGXStorm no no, he got a point though.
Man you actually made it, that was insane!!!! I'm proud to be your subscriber..... Although just subscribed 😁
That floating screen looks awesome.
This looks like something out of a Sci-fi film. I'm not sure if I've been this impressed by a pc build before, all I can really think to say is congratulations, this is an amazing piece of work!
This literally IS the future of gaming.
Bro!! Thats so crazyy!! I first thought this was a click bait but WOWWW nice job dude
man this is craaaaaaazy , good luck
You better patent this technology ASAP!So many people would love this sci-go setup at home. It’s only missing a dual monitor setup.
It looks really cool but if we're being realistic, the mouse and keyboard must feel terrible and there's basically no black on his transparent screen, which must be terrible looking.
After some years though, if some engineers team up it could actually be ultra cool.
@@Aerosklicethe only thing bad is the mouse, if he found a better way to do that it'd be perfect
@@witha1nah that keyboard probably feels terrible to use and the screen looks like shit.
Fun engineering challenge and a cool video but completely impractical
@@ieuanhunt552 ye now that i think about it might require a bit too much effort to press, but i don't see any problems with the screen
That screen is actually one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Well done dude!
THAT WAS AMAZING
Your ideas are always out of this world as usual. I miss you playing siege
the good ole days
@@BasicallyHomeless does it work for Siege though? 🤣
Invisible pc ranked siege?
Is it weird that I actually smiled and felt accomplished when you took the wire out and it was actually clean
imagine also having invisible table and chair that will be the cleanest pc set up
Imagine you try to present it and you just point to an “empty” corner in your room
@@renegadepyro726a “clean” corner of your room
Making a setup with invisible table would only work if you did the setup inside your floor or wall lol
Can’t wait until pc setups are just empty voids
@@misonly5496 Some people actually do that so it's not out of the realm of possibilities!
That is simply amazing. Can we get an extended demonstration of it working? I'd love to see you play around with this build for 10 or so minutes
Yea I want a closer look at how well it all works too. Like how well can you actually see that screen? Also how much latency is there with that mouse? Don't get me wrong, its amazing id just like a closer look as well.
This is insane! Great job!!!
bro thats insane

Man made a 0g mouse. Those $1500 ultra lightweight mice are doomed.
Lamp
You should do more videos like this!!
This is so cool, I think that I want something similar, but with ar glasses. Respect!
Amazing. If the invisible mouse is hard to get used to, you could also install a touchpad inside your table
That’s the one thing I was thinking!! I’m a track pad person but training the sensors for that would be the only change I’d want
Touchpad seems like the obvious answer to me too. Especially if anyone ever decided to mass produce something like this, I think a touchpad would be far more viable.
@@donald5989I think the touchpad can be hidden too
@@starchazer272 but u can feel the difference between materials so yeah

What a futuristic setup 🎉
This is so neat! Perhaps not the most practical, but so cool! I wonder how much you'd be able to sell it for XD
Very cool.
Blisko blisko coraz bliżej.
future creativity and congratulations for future endaveours !!!
Exactly like the thumbnail, like always!
A lot of compromises but holy shit the mad lad did it
I was wondering if he could embed a touchpad into the desk and paint it white
bro got philosophical at the end. u really got me thinking man
every minute of your work worth it!
This is super cool. A perfect example of persistence until you have what you want, no matter the expense. Awesome video!
That lamp can track multiple bodies in entirety I hope.
This is incredible, like...I have to watch this a couple times to absorb the full message at the end because I'm still in awe regarding what you just did.
This is literally stuff out of sci-fi novels and now a reality!
Astonishing!
