Great work. I’ll be making my first zipper pocket tomorrow. I love the second one a lot. Looks more professional. Thank you very much for sharing.

Thank you! Your iron is impressive, you get it so flat!

It’s just a normal domestic iron, I don’t use steam, nothing special. Most household irons should be able to do the same

This is brilliant...I didn’t even know the tape was visible when I used the first method. Now I know it is really going to bug me 😂. Facings all the way from now on

That’s why I added both techniques, so you can see the difference, sometimes you need to see it to understand it

I had to go look at the purses I've already made and there it is! That nasty zipper tape showing up - in the pocket only, because the main body has lining which looks finished like yours. Thank you very much. My bags will look so much more professional now.

Too bad, I took a photo of my great new pocket zipper to boast a bit but I wasn't able to post it. LOL

This is great thanks very much ☺️ I've never done a zipper pocket yet... Would love to see how it's done with faux leather too ❤️

there are several methods for faux leather....you can actually do it in the exact same way using fabric for your facing.....or you can create the rectangle aperture using a craft knife and leave raw edges.....faux leather doesnt fray....although a little bit of fray check around the raw edge will help to stop any backing from fraying into your pocket

Thank you. What is the height of the zipper facing panel?
