    Very clever. The one thing I've disliked about the hidden connector was the raw edge!!! Now it's not a problem. Thank you.

    I’ve been thinking of trying the invisible strap connectors and remembered watching this video a long time ago (before I was ready to try it lol). Glad I found it again because your method is awesome. I wasn’t a fan of raw edges so love this. Going to test it out this weekend. Thanks so much 😊

    I love what you do but for some reason the sound is so low on my phone or IPad It’s really hard to hear you. I don’t know if anyone else has that issue. I’m going to see if ear buds will help. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and for designing bags that can be sewn on our domestic machine.

      I also had a really hard time with the volume. I had to close my sewing room door and turn everything off and I still had a hard time understanding, esp at the beginning of the video.
      It was a fantastic video otherwise.... I have been in the fence about trying these but I feel like I'm a bit more equipped to try after whatching this. Thank you ❤️

    Very clever I never thought of putting the ribbon I usually put a little strip of canvas but that adds too much bulk I'll be doing the ribbon from now on
    I love your sweater by the way reminds me of a Kaffe Fassett design

    I love your videos. You are one of the best instructors on YT for bag making. What wt thread (tex) do you use for your top and bobbin thread. ? Your topstitch is beautiful. I have a TL 2010q too.

      I’m using plain old moon threads,, which is almost the same as guttermans all purpose thread,,, when I top stitch I run two threads through my machine,,, I have a video about top stitching in this playlist which shows you in more detail what I mean by that,, I’m sewing on a tl 98p in this video so an older version of your machine

    Great video again - I wanted to use hidden connectors on my Lola but I stupidly prepared the faux leather with foam fused with stabiliser , then watched this video and realised the faux leather needs to be loose to achieve this lovely finish - back to the drawing board for me!!!!

      If you fused the foam, you would not see the strap from the out side, try it on a scrap next time.

      i use a juki tl98p, a 15 year old machine, straight stitch only bit shes a domestic, not industrial. i have never felt the need for an industrial since with the correct needle and the right foot i can de everything i want to on my juki

    I always wondered whether the vinyl would hold the weight on the straps. The ribbon is a clever way to handle that situation. Also like the way you handle the raw edge showing when attaching to the bag. Thank you for sharing.

      I wouldn’t trust a strap connector without something to give it strength,,, you are putting the entire weight of the bag snd contents in that connector so I like the ribbon because it adds strength but not bulk,,, I’m not a huge fan of very bulky connectors either lik

      It can be done but you need to use a facing to create the opening ( so it doesn’t fray) if you check the videos for Classico in my playlists,, it shows how to make the aperture in fabric

      Since this is a problem for only a few people I suspect it might be your settings as most can hear it fine x

    sorry but disagree. I watch man sites and have no trouble with them. If you check in your comments you will see that Margaret Mayhew also commented on the low sound. Does not matter to me but if you want to have peiople join and watch your site, you will take this as constructive criticism not complaint. I personally would have enjoyed but without good sound it does not work for me.
