Wow, thank you for the fabulous tutorial. You are a very talented lady.
I brought some of the foam but a bit worried about using it as my machine is a cheaper one. I thought I'd cut it a little smaller so none in the seam. I do like the idea of zig zagging the edges first. This video was a big help to me. Thank you for sharing this with us
@@tracybrewer3377 you are so very welcome
I find it difficult, too...to hear clearly
I thought a rivet press has cutting dies that cuts a nice hole (depending on what die size you use) so you don't have to hammer a hole yourself? I just started to make bags for myself and was looking into getting a rivet press. Ty for posting.
Indeed the press does have dies for cutting,, but I use several Different sizes in my bag making and I don’t want to pay for 5/6 different sizes cutting dies,,, lol
As always, educational and inspiring. Thank you for taking the time to show us the way...
Ohh thank you so much. Do they seal on vinyl aswell?
Watch the other video about painting vinyl
@@BagsbyBagsofStyle will do thanks
Thank you for sharing this video, I will be making these connectors on my next bag thanks to your clear instructions
Great to have found this video. I’ll definitely be making these
Thank you !
Wonderful explanation and visuals - thank you so much for this Christine!
That's incredibly helpful, thank you x
Thank you you are a life safer - inspired me to sort out my stash destash and gold thank you
Thank you! This is the 6th video I've watched and the ONLY one that works. Trick I learned, don't try to pull 2nd side all the way through. The grabbing of top ends and pulling tab down worked. I was tearing my hair out. So grateful!😀
love this sooo professional
Love this. I'm tempted to try sewing faux leather just to give this a go! haha
Thank you! Great way to do it, which I will definitely try!
Thank you. Now I can cover my cushions using continuous zip rather than trying to find one the exact length I need. Bless you for this.
How can there be no comments? What an amazing bag making series, I learned how to make a fitted lining and all the skills it takes to make a well made bag. You're an mazing sewer, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I learned so many useful tricks watching you. I'm planning to attempt a proto-type first with vinyl, then lambskin. I will line the material with foam interfacing as you have, and quilt all the pieces (like how Chanel does on a Classic flap). I purchased my first industrial sewing machine and it has a compound walking foot, great for bag making. I can hardly wait to start. Thank you for the inspiration, Your flap bag is perfect!💙
You are very very welcome
This is SO helpful! Thank you so, so much for sharing such great ideas🌺
What. A great trick, thank you
Thank you thats so useful.
That was helpful, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. I hadn't considered the turn of cloth extra fabric allowance. A really useful demonstration xxx
for thicker fabrics like faux leather or tweeds its essential to take it into account or your finished panel will be smaller than you need it to be...of course you can just make the whole panel bigger and cut your patten from it but that can be quite wasteful. Turn of cloth is so important to take into account in almost all sewing disciplines
Great instructions Christine, thank you!
You are so very welcome
Excellent tutorial, thank you.
Great tutorial. I love learning from you.
Great work. I’ll be making my first zipper pocket tomorrow. I love the second one a lot. Looks more professional. Thank you very much for sharing.
Good luck!
Great tips! Thank you!
I have a Juki 2010q and love it for bag making.
I love your videos. You are one of the best instructors on YT for bag making. What wt thread (tex) do you use for your top and bobbin thread. ? Your topstitch is beautiful. I have a TL 2010q too.
I’m using plain old moon threads,, which is almost the same as guttermans all purpose thread,,, when I top stitch I run two threads through my machine,,, I have a video about top stitching in this playlist which shows you in more detail what I mean by that,, I’m sewing on a tl 98p in this video so an older version of your machine
I’m glad came across your channel. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I definitely will use it on my tote bag project.❤
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for the tutorial mam
Thank you. I did not know how to use these!
thank you. It is puzzling that you do not have more subscribers and many more views.!!!
fantastic ! thanks so much !!
That was a very useful video to watch Im new to bag making and learning as I go , thank you for all the tips 👍
My name is KC Jeronimo
Brilliant ideas
Thank you for mentioning that you can use snaps instead of hook and loop. When I got my last brand new car I didn't line up the hook and loops properly and it chaffed my seat belt webbing. Thankfully I noticed it before it got too bad.
What’s the difference between Romulus and Remus please?
One is larger than the other, one is a cross body bag and the other a two handle grab bag, they have the same feature top zipper placket , piping but different wearing possibilities
Appreciate you for this video. Thank you 🤗
I think the last one is a great idea for handles with all the inside matching the handles, great, ❤
