  • In this video, I'll give you instruction on how to make 2 different sized zipper pockets; one for a small pocket (which can hold a cell phone), and one for a large pocket (perfect for a large or travel bag).
    You can find the Wash-Away Wonder Tape that I used in the video here: sewsweetness.com/products/was...

    rmemb to put th fabric upside down so it is right side up when done

    • @oodles_of_noodles.
      @oodles_of_noodles. Před 3 lety

      It's a directional print that was folded so one side is always going to be upside down when using this method. Because it is just a little zipper pocket being sewn into the lining of the inside of a purse, it would never be noticed enough for it to ever be a problem, but it if is annoying for you you can just cut a little extra fabric to allow for the seam allowance and join the 2 pieces together in the direction you want them in before starting the tutorial. Otherwise choose a solid, checkered, polka dotted etc fabric where it won't matter. 😊

  • @Kandy8839

  • @andrewvanmarle

    Should the pocket fabric be marked upside down? if you look into the pocket now, the fish will be the wrong way 'round

    • @oodles_of_noodles.
      @oodles_of_noodles. Před 2 lety

      all directional prints will end up half up half down when the are folded like this. If it's something that will bother you you will have to cut the fabric and reattach it so you have both sides going the direction you want. Remember to add about 1 cm to incorporate that change 😊

  • @TracyCooksinAustin
    @TracyCooksinAustin Před 3 lety +1

    You should amend to explain how the lining was upside down so the top should be the bottom

    • @oodles_of_noodles.
      @oodles_of_noodles. Před 3 lety

      The lining was always facing the correct way. Do you mean the fabric used for the liner pocket? Any time you fold fabric with a directional print one side will face upand the other down ( remember we are talking the direction the print runs, not the inner or outer sides of the fabric. Because it is just a little zipper pocket being sewn into the lining of the inside of a purse, it would never be noticed enough for it to ever be a problem, but it if is annoying for you you can just cut a little extra fabric ( to allow for the seam allowance and fussy cutting if needed ) and join the 2 pieces together in the direction you want them in before starting the tutorial. Otherwise choose a solid, checkered, polka dotted etc fabric where it will look the same done this way. I hope this helps 😊. This is a really great tutorial but I think it assumes viewers already know how to construct purses, bags, etc and this lesson focused just on putting this little pocket in before you get started on the main construction. 💜
