    At 12:37 when you finished pressing and flipped the piece over, I actually went “Mmmm, nice pressing”. I’ve been watching one vid after another on zipper pockets, and I have to say yours was the nicest and neatest sample.

    I have normally just been making quilts for about 16 years, but I made a little bag for my granddaughter, and although I found it difficult, it was fun! (I learnt how from a tutorial on CZcams). So now I am making a bigger bag as part of a friend's birthday gift. Once I saw the fabric, I just knew I had to make it for her!! I am just at the stage of wanting to put in an inside pocket, and I have watched LOTS of CZcams Tutorials, but I really must compliment you, because your way of putting in the zip and the pocket is extremely NEAT and TIDY!! I am a perfectionist, which is difficult sometimes....& causes me to do a LOT of unpicking!! I just LOVE the way you have shown how to do this, and I am going to follow your directions. Thankyou SO MUCH for taking the time to film and edit this Tutorial. It is really, really GREAT!! I have subscribed, and I will be looking at more of your Tutorials now. Well done friend, across in New Zealand!! Love from Sue in South Australia xx

      Hi Sue, lovely to hear from you and thank you so much for your feedback on our tutorial - I'm glad it was helpful!! I'm a little bit of a perfectionist as well, so completely sympathise with you on the sometimes frequent unpicking sessions. Welcome to the wonderful world of bag making! Happy sewing!

    Amazing video. I have made these pockets before, but I picked up several (more than 2!) tips and or tricks. Not to mention your technique makes the finished pocket so professional! Nothing is left to look sloppy or unfinished, even though it's an inside pocket. Oh and I also learned about the back stitch button on the 350PE- hitting it twice locks it in back step mode) . So, thanks Lisa, this was one of the best tutorials I've seen in a long time.

    • @AndrieDesigns
      @AndrieDesigns  Před rokem

      Hi Chris, it depends how much gap you want at each end of your zipper but typically you'd probably start with a 4 1/4 inch gap (give or take). Hope that helps and happy sewing!
