What is the difference between a desktop CPU and a mobile CPU? Obviously, desktop CPUs are superior because they don't have the same size requirements as mobile/laptop CPUs, but you may still be interested in knowing the differences and how you can tell.
So keep watching!

this 7 minute video could've been summed up in 10 seconds. laptop slower because of heat and power consumption. desktop faster because better cooling and more power available.
I just love to watch your videos
Mobile Core i7-11800H makes the desktop Core i9-9900K irrelevant. That mobile chip is ridiculously fast and the power consumption is less than a half.
There is a chinese company that uses that cpu on a desktop motherboard. Its super cheap. Around 200$. For that price you get a monster cpu with a desktop motherboard. Win win
Edit: it is called Erying
I5 13th gen desktop makes the core i9 9900k irrelevant. But guess what, you're stuck with the old i7, while desktop users keep upgrading and selling old cpu chips.
If you're willing to fork out the dough, they do make gaming laptops with desktop CPUs. However, even these have power caps placed on them in the bios to prevent them from melting to the Earth's core. Also, you're going to be waiting a while to get one of these custom built machines. It's been four weeks now since I place my order for an Origin Eon 15x and it may be another two weeks before it's ready to ship.
@Dacia Sandero guys Can't move though *cough *cough
The gap is readily closing due to the small nanometre process efficiency.

Please I'm new in this stuff..
Where can I find the processor and the graphic card inside a laptop?
90% of the time its all soldered to the motherboard. so you just see a chip on the board itself. thats pretty much it. you wont find a dedicated GPU or CPU like you see in PCs.
0:39 yeah I did that like 20 mins ago
If you use you laptop with power cord connected, than it would provide more power.
not really it still uses the same amount of power.
@@metalvideos1961 Are you sure? My laptop processor tops at 25 watts on battery, with the charger connected it tops at 75 watts
@@afonsogouveia2109 Yeah you're right, he's wrong. Most laptops perform way better when plugged in, that is due to the fact that they don't need to be "power efficient" so no need to save battery, therefore they feed more wattage into both cpu and gpu. This is especially truth in high wattage fed hardware, however i think it applies to most laptops nowadays. If i'm wrong please feel free to teach me better.
my laptop ram can be removed and cpu is a desktop cpu
Temperature is the difference
my question is. is 1GHZ laptop cpu equal to 1GHZ desktop cpu? because if it does, theres a lot of new gen laptop cpu that are more powerful than some desktop cpu.
Yes ofcourse
@@hashimfarrukh4670 i see , thanks
@@randomguy36j98 actually there are none laptops with ryzen 5th gen so not really and yea laptop are a bit expensive but are portable, anyways it your choice
@@namratayadav4202 thats bs lol. AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile processors literally exist. not sure why you spread BS when you can literally google it.
but my phone's cpu is stronger than my laptop's cpu
if you can't put a mobile processor in a phone then why is it called mobile cpu
the term mobile is not limited to phones. Mobile means something you "move easily" aka portable, and laptops count.
👍
If you want 'RAW' power, use a desktop, basta!

The world has changed... I wanted to build a gaming pc.. Its soo expensive now. Its better to buy a laptop.. Especially since I don't stay in the US. I don't use cooking pads on laptops, I'm no peasant, I balast a house fan or a portable air conditioner straight on the laptop
Wut
13th Gen Mobile CPUs enter
These cringy actor scenes xD
Gaming pc is much expensive than laptop
Bruh that's not true
@@namratayadav4202 bro, you are living in dreams. When you create desktop you compromise a lot of things, some times less ram, sometimes less Storage, sometimes cheap monitor, sometimes inappropriate Brand GPUs & even cheap motherboard, all in the name of "fitting in the budget". You may not know, 63.4% of desktop user's in the planet never makes a complete desktop. A "complete" desktop with proper ram, storage, graphic card, mother board, good cheesy, good monitor & power box comes with 1650 $ (Dollars)(USA). But on the other hand(Dell brand), a laptop with rtx 3060, 16gb ram, 512gb PCI gen 4 SSD (NVME) ,144 Hz display panel & other existing ports will cost you 985-1100 $ (Dollars). You decide.
@@rajonskywalker9555 not really I have a budget pc which costs like ₹35,000 which has a Radeon A-series cpu with a atx motherboard of msi, ant esports cabinet, 8gb ddr4 ram and gt 1030, 256gb sdd and 500gb hdd, 19inch monitor, also later I can costumize it like buying a new cpu, while I found one laptop it had same 256gb ssd but didn't have any external graphic card, it had ryzen 3-3rd gen(the cpu was good but I was not convinced with the other specs) it was 15inch and and it coated around ₹41,000 well so it was kinda ok but the prob I can't modify the cpu later so I had to again buy a new laptop so that's why I chose desktop also it matters on you.... well that's what I wanna say
@@namratayadav4202 bro I'll give you better laptop in that price range.
