    Hey man. Thanks for the video! It encouraged me to try it. I used the sheet and cut because i have aggressive curves on my car. Even with my shaky hands it came out perfectly. I don't understand why people trying to charge $500+ for this.

    Awesome. I priced black chrome to do all the trim on my Fairlane and it was freakin insane. This is the trick.

    I know you have your technique and what works for you works for you. For everyone else, you may want to consider using 3M knifeless tape. Then you won't need to mask anything, and the only time you'll bring a real knife out is to make the cut at the door edge when the vinyl gets cut in the door jamb.

    How do you join two separate pieces or can you buy a large enough piece to cover larger area? My crome doesn't have a break and has a large curve at the back (2018 Tesla Model S).

    can the same technique be applied to the door pillars/window molds? thinking of wrapping my rear window molds gloss black (on the X1 only the B-pillar is shadow line. the rear window mold has like a matte finish)

    Bro I make a lot now at a desk to use my brain basically allocating tape and knives most effectively. My back is so fucked up at 40 that I physically couldn't do your job. And I used to do your job. Point is, we all need each other. I vote to tax myself to pay guys like you's insurance because I know what you are capable of becoming.     You can do this sort of gloss black with a shelf life of about 3 years before you got to remove it again.... or you can do it the proper way. Remove, have it painted and install back. High gloss guaranteed, shelf life about 10 to 15 years before it starts to go bad.

    Please help, Questions: Can you do it on chrome door handles, have black matte & prior to putting on the fill do you have to spray any water being applying it ?? Like tints-

      Baby D510 do not ever spray water before applying a vinyl wrap. Any water under a wrap will cause it to fail.
      You can buy a wide range of air release vinyl to wrap your handles but if you haven't wrapped before, you're probably going to struggle on most modern door handles. There's heaps of tutorials out there on CZcams, just have a look

    I don’t cut the natural breaks. Just wrap over them. Most of them are too tight to cut anyways and you’ll scratch the chrome. Then the second piece to continue will make it look even worse.
    Just one strip.

    Just wrapped my trim this past weekend; why don't you just open up the doors to lip all the way in lol. Pulled back my rubber seal too to tuck the vinyl underneath

      Thang Nguyen usually that chrome trim comes off. I think its open under the mirror on BMW’s, but on my MB C250 its kind of hidden, so i had to take the chrome out and wrap it. Different in each car basically. If yours is behind the mirror, google how you can take it off and wrap it.

      it wil but most likely you will see the same imperfections trough the vinyl ( if they're deep etc ) or the vinyl might just cover it
