First method seems the simplest and quickest. The third method appears to be additional effort for no reason as you end up having to use the adhesive remover….so it’s one extra step ie eraser attachment for the sake of using one… Cause realistically after removing you’re going to end up buffing the area to blend everything in.

Is it easier to do it with removed lights or do it on the car? I tried first time by removeing them and bringing home, but it took me forever to remove them :D And ofcours I failed at first time because I didnt use water between light and film. Also you remove protective part from both sides before using it on the car or just one side wich goes to the light? Anyway great video, I wish I have seen it before trying to do it by myself.

you can still see the marking of where the badges were even after adhesive remover was applied, you need to buff it out.

Haha I thought I was missing something, breaking string free. Couldnt get it to cut so I layed out my line and used string as guide for my knife while the tape helped from scoring the vehicle 😂

What does a typical head light wrap cost?

The chemicals used in adhesive remover can cause discoloration and dulling of the paint surface and can also damage the protective clear coat on the car. Also, If you ran the eraser wheel on anything other than low speed and/or stayed in one spot too long you probably burned some of your clear coat.

Can I use brake cleaner to remove the adhesive?

Similar to fishing line, I've successfully used dental floss followed by Goo Gone.

How new was this car when you did this? I want to do this to a 2011 but I'm worried the paint under the badge will look different than the surrounding paint due to the age of the paint.

I've been looking for a shop that would tint my tail lights and I keep hearing that they're not doing it anymore because, since covid, they can't get a hold of the high quality tint that they used to use and don't want to use a lesse product because it almost immediately starts to peel off.
